I found a tortilla press in my neighbor's flower bed and he said I could have it. I've helped him a lot over the years so I treasure it.
Love this classic color you all chose for finishing the tortilla press!
Just got mine for my birthday 💪💪💪
Nice press!
More videos please 😊
We've got them coming ❤
I agree. My plates are also to tight at the back. Even with light pressure I'm having a hard time getting an even press. Plates are two close in the back. I even took to a business that makes tortillas and they had a hard time using. Not very happy with this product so far. I don't see a way to adjust
So sorry to hear that! Please send an email to shop@masienda.com describing this issue and they'll be sure to make it right.
Do you ship to USA? If I only buy 1?
Yes, we only ship in the US -- our products are made in Mexico and sold in the US.
@@Masienda awesome ty
I notice the press in the video has a slight gap both in the front and at the back near the hinge. Mine only has the gap at the front, but sits completely flat at the back. I hope this doesn't squish my tortillas too thin at the back. It seems like it should raise up a little in the back too. Also mine doesn't sit flat so it rocks a little bit.
Hi, thanks for sharing. The plates should sit directly atop one another in the back near the hinge, with the gap only appearing in the front. As for the slight wobble, it’s normal due to the artisan, handmade nature of the press. We recommend placing the press on a towel to help and to protect the surface it’s on.
Y que tal quedaron tus tortillas? Si recomiendas la prensa?
I enjoy using my press but hadn’t thought to flip it over to even out the thickness. Thank you.

How do I get a tortilla press like this
Great question! Our tortilla press is exclusively available for purchase within the United States through our website. Here's the link:masienda.com/products/dona-rosa-tortilla-press
Yo tambien requiero adquirir una prensa para tortillas...pero en la pagina es muy complicado hacer el pedido.
What is the measurement of the tortilla presser??
Base Dimensions: 9.5” x 8.75”
Do you sell that plastic liner separately ?
Not at this time!
Parchment pAper round work good for liners
I'm a Latina and I have been making corn tortillas all of my life. I have always found that a freezer Ziploc bag cut open is the perfect thickness for ease in peeling away from the pressed tortilla. I actually use and reuse the same ziploc bag over and over, washing it in between uses.
You could buy the liners I received the liner with my tortilla starter kit great product I just used the produce plastic bag cut out 2pieces enjoy
How do I control the thickness of my tortilla? Thank you
Hi there! To control the thickness of your tortillas with our tortilla press, simply adjust the amount of masa you use and the pressure you apply. Start with a golf ball-sized amount of masa for each tortilla. Then, experiment with pressing down gently at first and gradually increasing pressure until you reach your desired thickness. Let us know if you have any other questions.
@@Masienda Hi, yes, I can press more or less however my tortillas are not going to be evenly thick without some measuring device.
I just received mine today and I made tacos for dinner, but for some reason my corn tortillas were way too thick and it didn’t puff up at all. What am I doing wrong?
Hi there! Thanks for your question. What size did you roll the masa balls? Did you allow the masa to rest for at least 30 minutes before pressing?Additionally, did you press the tortillas more than once? It's almost 100$ for a 60$ press. It's definitely pricey, but chefs and hipster hobby cooks aren't gonna complain. There are 20 to 40$ presses that work just as well. The only problem is you can't get them in pretty powder blue or lilac. I made the same comment on their site but they scrubbed my review because it wasn't a 5 star rating. Oh well.
