I wish when I make a new contract I could just tap make an appointment with this contact and it would populate all their contact info in Calander. Then all I have to do is Time and date.

He misunderstood you. It's probably due to one of your settings? Can you find some box you can uncheck?
The history calendar is if you WANT your events to disappear from your main calendar, but still want to consult them from time to time. You make a new calendar, history, and after an event is done, you move it to that one.
