Just to reiterate, since some people didn’t get it:
The point of my Kapp’n suggestion is to be a fast-paced sort of minigame, where you try to reel in as many fish as possible in a short, predetermined by bells time frame. The fish in this game are rarer than normal as are the sea creatures, so you’re very easily able to *make* money from the session, despite the high price point.
What about tortimer
Maybe if we're lucky, Nintendo might add Brewster in late February along with Valentines day. It could happen.

I think (seeing as postcards don’t really do much) the post office could return and you could be set a task to mail letters or send x amount of postcards and get bells or rewards? And I think the ABD/Nook Shopping terminal could move into the post office and we’d get rewards for saving up x amount of money, like the post office model, museum model or nooks cranny model, from the old games
New horizons update wishes:
Even when a villager leaves, they should till have their memory of you. To make reuniting with them more realistic. Also they should be able to visit your island as just walking around to see how you going and that will be announced by Isabelle in her daily broadcast, and maybe a rare chance of the, saying they wanna come back home. It will make old relationships continue on.
New structures like hotels, cafe and Merch shop would bring a cool feeling to your island life. It’s a perfect time for some characters return like Brewster, Lottie, Digby And etc.
Villager can work: it will be great to see villagers work again just like in HHD, which means they will also have their own bank account and you can now give Bells to them and maybe sometimes they will pay you for doing Task.
New Task: the only villager task atm is lost itemslr find a fish or bug, but what if more can happen. Maybe like delivery
Activities: you should be able to play games with your villagers like hide and seek, tag and more
More islands: They should introduce islands for special event characters, it would be cool to see a unique Halloween, Christmas, Easter themed islands on their months

In new leaf there was a shopping district that you would see your villagers as well as those who have moved out so you where still able to see them and interact

They'll remember you if one of your friends invites them to live on their island! My friend ended up inviting Sylvia and she remembered me when I came to visit my friend's island
Another idea I had for Dr Shrunk is having him run an arcade. Basically there are different arcade games you can play and based on how good you did you get a certain amount of points. If you save them up you can redeem the points for special furniture. Frillard would also be there from time to time.
And for the Shrunk Funk Shuffle, it’ll just be another reaction added that villagers can teach us.

That sounds amazing! I especially love the points idea, and the arcade games could be similar to the puzzle league and desert island escape games in NL! Maybe you could also unlock new games in some way which could be "Out of order" in the beginning.

i wish harriet was like kicks- visiting every so often, and instead of shoes, bags, and socks, she could sell special wigs, hats, or (rarely) new hairstyle guides.
I believe that Lyle should eventually come back full circle to his job as an insurance dude, but this time, nook certified and not a fraud. After all, he seems to have had an amazing character arc. From frauding with Redd to getting forced to work for the Happy Room Academy angrily to growing to fit the new job, I think it would be amazing if he heads back into small business endeavors a changed man. Plus, I just really want insurance back.

I would love to see a mothers/Fathers day event where characters like Isabelle and Tom nook bring the mom/dad to the island and you get to meet them

This game sold like a bazillion copies. Hopefully Nintendo will recognize that it’s pretty lacking in some areas.
I want to build upon your retirement island idea!! Every day there is a tent that you see. This tent will hold a different character each day. What characters are in this tent you ask? The cut villagers from the old games! They will have all the items in a certain furniture set.
Examples: Pierre, the circus cat, will have a tent with the balloon furniture series. Emerald, the cute green frog, will hold items from the froggy furniture series. There are so many possibilities.
And just to add a bit of lore, they could say that they are working to help Gracie as she has also retired from her endeavors, but wanted to continue in her business, so now she has new people selling overpriced furniture for her.
Also, Tortimer could live there!

I'm hoping Kapp'n's whole family return because I always enjoyed visiting them in New Leaf, especially Leila with her little pretend store. Also I think Tortimer could be part of the retirement island if not his own island like in New Leaf. I know Lottie has to return at some point because she has her own Switch avatar and I noticed you didn't mention her when talking about the Happy Home Academy. One character I can only imagine returning with her original job is Katrina. I look forward to part 2.
I think main reason these beloved characters haven’t made an appearance yet is because New Horizons was made island designing/customization content first, extra content, dialogue & special characters second. Though it may be disappointing to long time fans who loved the animal crossing games for their simplicity and charming characters, Nintendo was focusing on an entirely different group of people, or the next generation of players. It was a pretty smart move on their part in retrospect (obviously by the sheer amount of copies that have been sold), but I honestly can’t say I enjoy New Horizons as much because of how different it feels from its predecessors. It keeps you playing everyday solely to decorate your island to perfection; I feel very little connection to the villagers and npcs on the island.

I just think new horizons needs more villager dialogue and more games you can play with them and more often (racing hide and seek etc)
I like these ideas! One suggestion I have is that we pay Kapp'n in NMT upfront (still a large amount, maybe 5,000 per trip?) instead of bells since there's a sore lacking in things to spend NMT on. I don't really do intense villager hunts, so I have thousands of Nook Miles and nothing much to spend them on...
Get yourself trading on Nookazon! People go wild for NMT’s on there, you could probably pick up some furniture or DIY recipes!
I think Kappn charging you 5k bells every minute is a little too overpriced, and I think it would ruin the relaxing side of a feature like that. So, maybe 10k per ride out to the sea?
My intention wasn’t really to make it relaxing, but rather a more fast-paced, “get-as-much-as-you-can” sort of minigame, but I definitely understand the appeal of relaxing on the open waters so maybe he could also offer a simple “sea tour” with a single payment of 5000 and a much lesser focus on fishing.

I love your content! You really understand what makes Animal Crossing Animal Crossing and it makes me anticipate each video you put out! These are some pretty great ideas and I hope Nintendo at least gives us stuff that’s close to as good as this. So far, they’ve let me down with almost every update for NH, so I guess we’ll see.
On the pier, you should be able to take Kappn’s boat (for 2,500 bells - open all day) to a Main Street island, It will have these shops on it;
Gracie and Labelle’s Style Shop. (Where Gracie sells brand new furniture types and types of furniture from past games, and Labelle sells Gracies’s clothes designs and new, fashionable clothes - open from 9am to 9pm, Labelle’s area would be shut if she is on your island)
Kick’s Shoe Shop. (Which would be above Gracie and Labelle’s Style Shop, where Kicks would sell new, fashionable shoes and bags - open from 10am to 9pm, if he isn’t on your island)
Leif’s Gardening Shop. (Where Leif sells Rare flowers and New bush types - open from 8am to 8pm, if he isn’t on your island)
Chip’s Fish Store. (Where Chip takes you on a Fishing Boat and Let you catch more Rare fish - Open from 10am to 8pm)
Nat’s Bug Store. (Which would be above Chip’s Fish Store where Nat takes you to a Haven for bugs where you can catch more Rare bugs - Open from 7am to 10pm)
Joan’s Farming Store. (Which would be above Leif’s Gardening Shop where Joan sells New Crops and Fruits such as Mango, Lychee, Durian, Lemon, Persimmon, Banana, and maybe some new ones - Open from 8am to 9pm)
Digby and Lyle’s Design Shop. (Where Digby or Lyle greets you, then Lottie drives you to a resident on the Island, the resident would be someone who has moved away from your island and you would have to decorate their interior and exterior - Open from 10am to 8pm)
Dr Shrunk’s Disco. (Where Dr Shrunk teaches you new reactions which would be Dance Moves, for each dance move you would have to give him a piece of Fruit from your island - Open from 7pm to 7am)
Blanca’s Cosmetics. (Where you ask Blanca for a makeover and unlock new Eye shapes, Nose shapes and Mouth shapes - Open from 9am to 10pm, Unless it is April 1st, where she pretends to be your villagers)
Brewster’s Café. (In the Museum on your Island, or a brand new building, or a Shop on the Main Street, where Brewster sells New Beverages and New Food - Open from 9am to 11pm)
Pelly and Pete’s Postal Service. (You can buy Post cards from Pelly and write them to Villagers who used to live on your island to invite them back to your island, Pete will deliver the Post cards for 1,000 bells, the next day You will receive a post card from the villager you sent it to either Accepting your invitation or declining it, this depends on your friendship level before they left your island - Open all day)
Frillard’s Shrine. (A memorial for Frillard - Open all day)
Harriet’s Salon. (Which is Above Blanca’s Cosmetics, Where Harriet gives you a makeover and you unlock new Hairstyles and Hair Colours for your character - Open from 11am to 7pm)
Ok Motors Garage Sale. (Every Sunday Giovanni, Carlo and Beppe have their Camper Van on the Main Street where they sell Furniture and Clothing from Pocket Camp - Open from 7am to 7pm)

I have a sneaking suspicion that old Sow Joan might be utilized for the upcoming farming implementation (if the rumors turn out to be true, of course). I could easily see her selling you seeds, or - if we're going with your Retirement Island idea - requesting a set number of grown crops in exchange for a reward.
P.S. It's so good to see you (and your computer) back in action! Your creativity and passion have been sorely missed. Can't wait for Part Two!

I think instead of a whole new island for interior designing, digsby could be similar to Label. He could be one of the rotating villagers and always bring around a tent. He would give you a furniture item and you would have to design a whole room around that item. This would be a super cool feature to add!

3:37 Excuse you, sir, I frequent Harv's Island when I want to try out new clothing options for my villagers or plan my house interior, as well as stage some cute party scenes whenever one of my villagers decides to leave the island. It's such an underrated feature, really!
Protendo needs to be hired by Nintendo. I know this video was a posted a year ago, so now we have Kapp’n and Brewster, but all the NPC’s could fit into New Horizons like Protendo described. I feel like New Horizons focuses on materials, DIYs, and furniture items more than anything else. Like there aren’t any mini games, and all the holidays have the exact same structure. Still love New Horizons tho. I play it multiple hours a day.
Dr Shrunk could also teach mood, like what villagers show when they're sad or angry or thinking.
I don’t need Gracie telling me if my style is good or not. Patty already said my style was good.
I think a stand for brewsters coffee and other things would be really cool Bc then he is there permanently but it’s a small outdoor building that you can’t walk into. It would be like one of the vendors in the plaza but not in the plaze

My ideas:
The Roost should definitely come back in one form or another. I like your idea of having the option to put Brewster either in his own shop or in the museum. It would be nice if you could see your villagers in there and they could ask you to order a drink for them, or if you could buy the donuts and sandwiches that the villagers sometimes have with them.
Harriet could be a travelling character similar to Kicks and Leif, but I think that she could have a little tent that the characters can go into instead of a stand like the other characters. Maybe she could have a portable hair salon, where she gives the player a few random options for different hairstyles at varying prices. Once you pick your hairstyle, it gets added to your mirror options and then you can access it any time, but you can only pick one style at once. Maybe, on rare occasions, she could also sell hair colours that the player can collect in the same way. She would have a total of 8 unique, rare colours that you can only get if you access her services. Maybe she could even have holiday hairstyles, and during events like Halloween or Toy Day, she could come around and offer special styles that fit the theme.
They definitely need to add a new character like Farley or Serena that can give the character unbreakable tools after they complete a certain series of tasks. Maybe instead of golden tools, which are already established in the game and can break just like any other tools, they can give the player silver tools, which is one of the things Serena could already do in City Folk. Silver tools would then be unbreakable. Maybe, after maintaining a perfect island for 20 days in a row, Tom Nook could reward you with a fountain kit that takes 400,000 Bells to build. Once the player donates all of the money, the fountain will be built, and then, once the player has had the fountain for 24 hours, they receive a silver watering can, which makes sense as players are first rewarded with a lily of the valley once they reach 5-star status. After that, there will be other tasks that the new special character could give to the player, and each task will be themed to a different tool. Once every task is completed, the special character will reward you with a silver version of whatever tool the challenge was themed to. Of course the challenges would all be difficult, taking several days to complete, but that's the beauty of the silver tools.
The way of getting the fountain is a really interesting idea! And would motivate people to keep their island at 5 stars after getting the golden watering can. Nice idea :)

I also super love the “Retirement” island - maybe Tortimer lives there too and gives you an unbreakable slingshot after planting so many pitfalls or something, harkening back to him being a bit of a trickster in the older games!
I like the ideas for Shrunk and Gracie but I’m not sure a “shopping” island would be the way to go!
I forgot about Kaitlin! I like the idea of a “mother and daughter” set if you give her a valuable souvenir, maybe add in like a stamp book, like the museum had in for Museum Day and you get stamps for tours of your island or maybe visiting others islands (I could see groups on the internet banding together to get as many stamps as possible, a bit like trading on Nookazon at the moment is!) More stamps means a more valuable souvenir which in turn gives you the “Kaitlin” set or the DIYs and they’d look similar to the gifts your mom sends you? Idk just spitballing.
I know you said there’s a possibility of a Pt2 but where’s the post office crew?! Now, don’t get me wrong, I also have no idea what they’d do but I really miss them. Maybe (seeing as postcards don’t increase animal friendship) the post office could return and you’d get rewards or tasks to send x amount of postcards? Also, the ABD and Nook Shopping terminal could be moved to the post office and we could start getting rewards for saving money again, like the post office model?
Also, we need the police dogs back! They could have their usual lost and found and reporting if you have any visitors (I like to think about what they’d say about Redd, seeing as your villagers already get a bit spooked when they see his “shifty boat”!) but they could also maybe help make villagers move? Idk

blanca needs to come in an update that adds more dialogue to the villager! and then we have an excuse to have new dialogue and since we dont know it all blanca can try to trick us! maybe in april first she walks around your island dressed up as a villager and maybe she acts wierd
also... shes a great excuse to add a buch of frienship stuff, like in new leaf. after she was defeated the villagers would give you their picture. Maybe they can give you the clothes they wear or an item you only get from a type of villager type. i would think that giving us their picture would be wierd because we can already get them with their friendship.
i also want an excuse for an update, since we are already getting pave next update i think blanca would be awsome for april

Kapp’n is one of my favorite Animal Crossing characters. I used to love going on his boat and going to the island to buy furniture and play mini games! I would love it if New Horizons will do that again! Maybe there can be an option to go out to sea to go finishing for fish that we have not collected yet. Or, go to that island where we can play mini games for bells or for nook miles! I also want him to sing his song as we are sailing too because I miss that catchy and peaceful tune! I just want this dude to come back since I don’t have New Lead anymore and I would love to hear him sing and take me to an island again!
I love the idea of more islands to visit, it's something I've been wanting for months now. Main Street island, Digby, Retirement island are exactly the kinds of places I'd like to see added.
I wouldn't be into a frantic Kapp'n boat ride at all, I find the current bug off event frantic enough. If I wanted more of that kind of content, I wouldn't be so into the delightfully slow paced AC games.

Harv’s island
Others islands
Dream island

I've had an idea for Dr Shrunk where he appears every year on April Fools Day to do a comedy set similar in set up to KK Sliders concerts. Throughout it he'll do a lot of new reactions like slapping his knee reacting to a joke or some silly faces and at the end you'll unlock those reactions. I'm sure nintendo could think of more reactions if given a year but I'd be fine with it just having new dialogue and jokes each year
I feel like the retirement idea thing is just very flawwed. No matter the quest- unbreakable items? that would just make it so the player never has to go hunt for resources to craft and then can basically do whatever without having to worry.
Brewster having a Cafe in the Museum would be a nice throw back to Wild World. -& I'd dig him brewing tea.-
Ok, I think that charging 5000 bells a minute is a bit expensive. For starters, it could be 3000 bells, simply because that was how much it was to go to Tortimers Island, and it should be charged every 5 minutes instead because bells are not infinite, so saving them should be a good idea.
I'm hoping Shrunk will take over April fools Day next year, and the rewards would be the dances and the shrunk funk shuffle

Gracie is my most wanted character to return and I think that she could solve a lot of people's problems with the game. Have her run a high end store of course, but have it bring back all of those old furniture series that are missing. Regal, Rococo, Astro, Sleek, are some of my favorites that we're missing, aside from the 5 GracieGrace series that she sells in her stores in past games. But it could also help with the problem of people just having millions of bells sitting around doing nothing. Everything at GracieGrace could cost hundreds of thousands, if not millions of bells. That could be how you get her to agree to open a store on the island, ensuring she'll be making a crap ton of money. Plus, it makes sense for her to sell you a chair that costs more than your house. I like new Horizons a lot, however I don't think it's the best game in the series because of how many things it just randomly decided to get rid of. So I really hope they get brought back. I want all those characters that just visit your island to sell a couple things or other missing shop characters (Leif, Kicks, Labelle maybe, Gracie, Sahara could get one, Harriet could too) to have stores. I miss shopping in these games. Nook's Cranny sucks I miss the upgrade chain and it and Able Sisters are the only stores we have
Here’s a concept for the otter you forgot (who’s named Patty, I’m pretty sure):
She can help Harvey run his photo booth, but instead of rooms, it can be a customizable garden. The garden would allow you to landscape with the tools you have, place flowers, trees, and pumpkins (at different growing levels if you want) and even landscape rivers or cliffs! You could also put outside furniture in the garden.
They could play off the idea that CJ is Chip’s son (Chip Jr.), Joan is Daisy Mae’s grandma (the one she mentions she’s filling in for), and Nat could be Flick’s mentor

I would love to see Katrina come back. Most likely as a travelling character. Either her tent or a stall could appear in the plaza. (I made my own in NH using the fortune cookie cart, stall etc... I miss her that much lol). Maybe after she tells your fortune she could give out a special item that allows you to customize certain items that aren’t usually customizable? Like the zodiac furniture for example?

- Harriet should provide dip dyed hair, streaks, and new hairstyles
- Kapp’n should take the player to the retirement island
- If you can fish on Kapp’ns boat, the rare fish you catch should be mythical sea creatures, such as kelpies and sea serpents
Maybe for Kapp'n's boat you can have the choice to enter the mini-game where there's a way higher chance to get rare fish or you can just relax and fish for normal chance rates on the boat. You can either get really good fish in a really fun and intense mini-game or just casting out your line and having pleasant conversations with Kapp'n
i want digby back! How could you separate a twin! it is uncanny! I love all your idea, it would be so much enjoyable if we had different npc to make the game more active.

random cool idea: having Dr Shrunk become the host of a game show you can play in to win prizes. It could have a few rounds of quick minigames, like placing furniture to copy the layout of a small room (brought to you by Digby, of course), a geography quiz by Gulliver, a card match-up game by Katrina, etc.
Would also be cute if Isabelle mentioned seeing you on TV on her morning announcements the next day.
also could be a multiplayer thing if you have other people visiting your island at the time, like kapp'ns island in new leaf.

I had this idea a little while ago that maybe you could have more than one island on one console and Kapp'n can be the one that brings you to your other island(s). Also Brewster can have his own café you can get signatures and raise money for, Celeste can have her space shop back in the museum also getting signatures and raising money for, Gracie can set up a second floor in Nook's cranny if you buy enough things from her, and Label can set up a second floor in the Able Sisters if you pass her fashion check so that way you can get more upgrades to the stores you can work towards. Maybe also having another building you can get signatures and raise money for, for club LOL and dr. shrunk. Maybe occasionally Joan, Nat, and Chip can visit with their younger counterparts as like a surprise. Give Harvey his campgrounds back! Make it the same as new leaf where you can order special furniture from there.

(you’ll see why) then you would be presented with a full on RGB slider and preset colors to set your hair to. then after she dyes your hair, your hair will stay that custom color for 2 weeks and maybe it could slowly fade back to your original hair color. then, after a certain amount of visits, and if your shop is upgraded, she’ll ask to move in. just like brewster and the roost, you can either set her up in her deprecate building or she can settle in the upgraded version of the shop, either using the unused staircase behind that counter, or an area in the shop. this, just like the able sisters, it’ll let you use harriet anytime, as long as the shop is open, and you have enough money.

The vacation island is great for villagers you used to have on your island but then they left. You can swap villagers and that would be cool but you’re gonna have to convince them

We got a vegetable now with the pumpkin, I feel like we should have a cooking mini game - even if it's as easy as press the button in that time frame. And cooking often unlocks more recipes.

I never had the option yet, to see Brewster in new leaf (didn’t get too far) but I would like to see him in new horizons

I enjoy the new features in NH yes, but at least find some way to keep the old characters around...hell make them a random wandering npc in the plaza area every few days offering you rare items from their treasures you know? Something like that. I wasn’t really happy with Reese and Cyrus...but at least they came in at all....for a month :( I miss their recycle shop

Dang dude. These are all awesome ideas that would give the game so much more depth! If Nintendo would add these ideas, plus a couple quality of life upgrades, and an upgrade to the villager personalities, the same would be nearly perfect in my eyes.

I think that your villagers when they run screaming at you, they could also ask for you to decorate their house. And they keep that house look if they like it, based on there villager personality

That sounds like too much, Imagine clicking the wrong island and then you have to go home then come back, and with the store idea, then the town hall wouldn't have anyone come because everyone would have a store, It's just too much.

Everything sounds great EXCEPT FOR KAPP'N! I was playing New Leaf recently and used his boat ride to an island feature, but then when I entered the souvenir shop, I COULDN'T GET OUT! The front door wasn't working and there were barriers in the ocean so I couldn't swim back to the boat! I had to anger Resetti for the first time to get back to my town (I know... I could've just saved and I would've appeared back at my house, but I forgot that was a thing at the time)
I haven’t watched the video yet, and I just thought it would be cool if Brewster had his own coffee cart, and would sell you coffee, you could ask for specific coffee like 2 sugar 1 cream to give to a villager, you learn their favourite coffee by remembering what it is when they mention it, when you get them their fav they would really appreciate it and it would increase friendship points by a lot, they would even hold the coffee around to drink it

I love your idea for the broost and think it would be really cool if multiple things like this were available. Like an optional expansion for the airport where there’s a post office where our favorite pelicans can offer their services.

I really think they should add these things because it would make the game more fun and interactive, since so many people have gotten bored of it after they’ve made their island the way they wanted
I think Natt and the others’ island could be a perfect Paid DLC, it doesn’t effect existing gameplay and it’s an optional extra things to do, wile adding in old characters for nostalgia.
