I talk to Sable everyday even after she gave me all her awesome patterns.....
Now I want to give her lemonade in the summer, soup in the winter, and warm hugs all year round. She not only held down the fort and looked out for her sisters as best she could, but she gave up her own desires and dreams to do so.

In New Leaf you had to talk to her alot for her to warm up to you, just like Sable. Also constantly buying her assessories

A shorter but sweet story involved Blathers and his sister Celeste. Blathers has already been known for his fear of bugs. He had kept this away from Celeste, who never had this fear. One day an incident happens that leaves Blathers exposed and ashamed in front of Celeste. Celeste firmly tells Blathers that he is her big brother and that she
loves him no matter his fears. I wish Blathers would tell that story again.

Okay, but Sable deserves so much love. She has taken on so much, and has worked so hard. She's genuinely become one of my favorite characters from the games, and I always make it a point to talk to her everyday.

Here's what I think. Tom Nook wanted to follow his dreams of being successful, but he realized he couldn't do it alone. This is where Isabelle comes in, and she looks for a job to pay off her apartment debt. Tom Nook immediately falls for her, and he asks Isabelle to be his assistant. Surprised, Isabelle accepts Nook's request. I also think Nook has a crush on Isabelle because her head looks like a sack of bells and we know that he has an unhealthy obsession with money. (Hence, her name. Is - a - bell)
Or, at least, this is what I think. What's your opinion on my theory? (It's still coming together, though, as this is only a fragment of Isabelle's entire story.)
We know that she and Digby lived in a cardboard box for awhile as kids and that-according to Digby-Isabelle has a bunch of college degrees that she earned for fun.

In New Leaf he stood on Main Street and took you up to see the HHA showcase where you could buy furniture shown in the houses of those you Streetpassed. He also worked for the HHA in Happy Home Designer. Lyle's niece Lottie has a big ol' crush on him. XD

It should be more than an accessory shop. It should be a kind of mini Labelle section. Label has already designed some pieces for the sisters' shop. They should be highlighted there.

suebob16 adding on to your idea it could sell labelle items only (kinda like the Gracie shop in new leaf) and instead of her being there all the time she could still travel and do the same thing she does now

I always feel that their story represents what sisterhood truly is. You may fight, you may think you hate each other at times, but for some reason, and you may not truly know why... but you always want to be there for each other and have each other’s backs when the world truly comes to shove... You may show it in different ways but it always comes through eventually. 🥰

I'm the middle child in my family, and there are some difrences between me and my younger sisters relationship and my older sisters,
On one hand me and my younger sister fight more, but are like best friends when we talk to each other (yes accasionally we will have arguments)
On the other hand me and my older sister don't really fight, but rarely talk to each other (btw all my sister's live in the same household)
But yeah, just thought to share my excperience
The backstory for these three sisters always makes me sad because when they had a good life as young hedgehogs, all was good for them, but when family tragedy strikes & sibling fights/arguments tear things apart, I can’t help but hope with all my heart that these dear hedgehog sisters are able to find happiness & heal....
I was so surprised when Sable said her parents died, I forgave her for being rude before. Now I realize she has been through a lot
I miss when there was actually some back story to animal crossing. Hoping they update horizons a lot more..

@@maddiefox8162 it may feel that way ....but it's totally not true, they r just going about content a diff way...new horizons has a 3 yr plan . So it's not unfinished . Nintendo is just giving us content in a diff way... a way that keeps the game interesting longer .
DEKUtheKID idk. When I bought the game, it was missing a lot of features. Think that’s what icxnicmaddies meant. The holidays and events coming as dlc in the 3 yr plan is cool. But is it that cool if the first year and a half is just adding in features that already existed? What did we get so far? Paintings/redd, bushes/Leif, sea creatures/diving. All things that already came with the last game out of the box. Still gotta wait for a lot more updates at this point just to have the same features as new leaf. Still no gyroids, coffee, mini games, or dream suite. A lot of characters are MIA. But we’ll see. Again, hope they start kicking it into gear and add some new stuff.

U act like any other a.c game was ground breaking. New leaf was the first to really step up and bringing alot of new stuff . And u forget ...welcome amiibo was a update to new leaf. We don't have all the things u r complaining about because Nintendo is waiting to release them. They have a 3 yr plan with this game. So just be patient. If u had everything u would be done with it by now anyways and now u atleast got plenty to look forward too. We have things n this game that were never n any other game but EVERY one just immediately looks past things and takes them for granted . Yes we don't have all the features of new leaf...so what . We have 40 inventory slots that alone makes this game so much easier to play. Go play new leaf now it's so painstakingly slow . I wish we had the mini games, Brewster and gyroids ...but it's coming . So just chill lol. I think u r just sounding like spoiled brats. The bottom line is Nintendo chose a diff way to go about this game .... a way to have users coming back. They have a 3 yr plan for the game . So just be happy for once. Also just don't play it if your not happy . And b done with it lol

I feel so bad for the able sisters 😭😭 like mabel, labelle, and sable seem so innocent and sweet. And sable looks so depressed on the outside when you haven’t talk to her for awhile, but I feel like Mabel is the type of sister who always tries to cheer the other sister up 😭😊

The able sisters have another reminder if their parents - the tapestry hanging on the left wall. Sable told me that it once belonged to their mother, and sable would get a warm feeling inside whenever she looked at it. 🥰

Very nicely compiled and presented. I've always felt stories like this are what makes AC such a special game. They aren't important to the gameplay but do add an extra level of depth to the characters you meet.

This is probably one of the darkest backstory out of all of the NPCS in Animal Crossing.
Probably the other most famous story is the love triangle involving the post office sisters Pelly and Phyllis and mailman Pete. Sweet Pelly has a crush on Pete, but he only has eyes for cranky Phyllis. I think Phyllis both likes and hates Pete. It seems nobody wants to hurt Pelly, so it's at a standstill at the moment. We probably won't know if there is any progress with them unless our islands get a post office.
Sable is my favorite special character, I love how shy and sweet she is. she makes me feel appreciated. especially since she doesn't talk alot, I talk to her everyday
Yesterday, when talking to Sable, she said something about always having to sew and that she once had more help (label) but then her help left, then Mabel said to Sable that she had to stop being like that and doing that to herself because they're supporting Label's choice, Sable agreed. I just thought it was interesting since she had always just redirected me to her sister because she was busy.

I really enjoyed the little clippings of character dialogue throughout this video - I had no problem pausing each time to read each clipping. They added so much depth and emotion to this telling. This game is so unsettling. On the outside, it’s such a bubbly, happy, cute game but really, it has a very, VERY dark side to it.

I remember speaking to Sabele and I think she told me she had 3 other sisters (or something like that) and she said they died when Mabel was young so she doesn't remember? I do not know specifically what she said because it was a few months ago but I remember she told me a little about her life and her passion for clothes? I don't know if she did actually say that but I don't think it was in the story so I thought I would point it out. (I'm not sure if she even told me she had 3 or another amount of sisters.)

I can't afford a switch but am so intrigued by animal crossing (currently playing pocket camp) and i've been watching your videos in the interest of gaining knowledge on the game once i can afford (and they are restocked) to be really informed on what animal crossing is. I never played and i started like two or three months and by New Horizons release i was very interested in the franchise, i won't be able to play the other versions since i don't have the consoles that require it but i honestly love this and have learned between a lot of videos of animal crossing about the origin and character development. I'm in love.

This made me want them to make a prequel, where you start out in the town where Tom and Sable grew up, but they're still kids. So then you could see different shop keepers, different villagers, maybe younger versions of some of the current ones.

Sable was always my favorite character growing up. I remember when I was little, only 8 years old, when I got Wild World. And after what felt like ages, I was positively giddy when I finally got her to say more than a single sentence to me. But I didn’t play city folk much, and my memory of wild world is hazy. I had to pause the video when you mentioned it was Sable who made Nook’s clothes with each shop upgrade. Sable deserves the world. Over 15 years since I first picked up Wild World, I still adore her so.

So you’re telling me that Sable and Tom Nook are friends? Does that mean he is the same age as Tom Nook? Then why does he run a corporation?

Yes, they were childhood friends. I think they are currently not as close as they once were, but I would love to see moments where they might still chat with each other. What I want to see when we finally get Brewster's coffee shop is Nook and Sable sharing a table and having coffee. Or if there is take-out coffee like in New Leaf, Tom Nook orders two cups--one for him and one that he will drop off for Sable. I don't have to see a big romance between them, but it would be nice to see that they are still friends.
During the early years Tom Nook had a hard time in the city. Even though he is no longer the innocent he once was, he did learn how to be a manager. So now as an older and wiser tanooki he has refined his skills to where he is today. Krisselia also did a story on Tom Nook, so be sure to check that one out.
It really makes sense now, why Sable needs time and persistence to warm up to the player...
