It’s funny how if you’re friends with a villager, they suddenly go all narcissistic and give you a picture of their face as a ‘sign of friendship.’ If a real friend just gave me their picture, I would probably be moderately confused.

Tom nook ain’t gonna come screaming if you don’t pay off any of your many many loans unlike in the real world , and said tanuki has at least 15 other villagers he has to attend to, plus all the new villagers who phone looking for plots of land for the island. Also we did volunteer :3 if you don’t want to pay it, just leave your island bridgeless, rampless and empty and play without thought to purchasing things (or, alternatively go and beg online for someone to pay it off for you.) ...but you’re not gonna do that, are you?

sadly you can't be "enemies" with a villager. if you hit him with a net and push him around he'll get mad at you, but 5 minutes after he'll act like you are the best friends in the world.
I wish the game had negative friendship points that could affect your villagers for a long time. imagine if the dudes ends up complaining at Isabelle's for being too much bullied

Btw, I found out from experience that villagers with thought bubbles will only be asking to move out if they are in front of their house or in/near the plaza. If they aren’t in these places, they won’t ask to move out. Also, just because they are in the right place doesn’t mean they will ask to move: had this happen the other day with Apollo when he was near his house and he just sold something to me. Hope this helps :)
That’s interesting, now that I think about it, all of my villagers that have asked to move have also been near their houses. That being said though, I’ve only had the game for a couple months, so I haven’t exactly seen many people move out.

When Zell asked to move out on mine, he was up in the higher parts. Then again, there was no bridges or inclines so maybe he just couldn’t get down to the plaza area. Which might be why he wanted to move lol

I didn't realise that investigating lost items gives you more detail the better the friend you are to the item's owner, I once had Annalisa lose an item and I investigated it to get more detail but it only said "someone lost this..." I guess it makes sense because Annalisa was the most recent villager I had aquired.
I stopped using the Investigation thing after I got that too. I thought it was useless lmao.
TIL I guess.
If you're friends enough with everyone that you can investigate and know who lost the item except one villager, this investigation message can actually be useful to know who lost something :p

I have a lot of villagers who I don't dislike but they're just not that exciting. I'm just kinda bored of them... but only the villagers I like are asking to move out!! so frustrating!! i dont wanna have to hit my less-favourite villagers with nets :(
You can just ignore them and raise the friendship levels of the others so the one you ignore has a better chance of asking to leave

If you know the thought bubble is gonna be them asking to move out, don't talk to them for the entire day and wait until the next day for the bubble to transfer to the villager you want to kick out! (Or you can time travel if that's your thing) If you talked to them, don't finish the conversation and close your game. This is what I'm currently doing to move out one of my villagers
Hitting them with nets does not lower freindship points
If you watch the whole video you will see how to get rid of the villagers you want to leave lol. You can also use the TT method to quickly get rid of someone. Screw waiting MONTHS to get rid of certain villagers.
I already tried time travelling before posting that comment, but the same 3-4 villagers who I actually liked kept asking to move out. Maybe because I kept going back and forth between 2 days?

Honestly I've found that the higher the friendship, the higher the chances that the villager will want to leave. If you give them expensive gifts and talk to them every day, they're more likely to feel like they've experienced everything and get bored of your island. That's why you might feel like your favourite villagers ask to leave while the ones you want to kick out never ask. Befriend the enemy, it's your only choice.

When I kinda like a villager I want to move out, I go to any lengths to get their photo to remember them, then move them out with amiibo or when they get a bubble. I have something I call “the friendship hall of fame”. I place all of my villagers photos on the walls, so I can remember the happy memories with them. It’s a lil bittersweet.For example, I’m trying to get tutu to move out, my friend LOVES HER, so I’m giving her to her. She won’t go to waste!
The problem is, if I do want a villager to move out I feel too bad to force them out, what if I hurt their feelings? :(

You DO realize these animals don't exist irl, right?
The thought bubbles are random and transferable so you can be as nice as you want to the villagers you want out. I was giving my villager gifts and talking to her every day before I let her move out. I think the only reason they say don’t befriend them is because they might generate thought bubbles to give gifts, teach reactions, sell you stuff, etc. So like enjoy your time with them before it’s time for them to move on.
With Pancetti, she was being really mean to my other villagers, so I ended up fencing her house off and going in every so often when she was home only to walk out. I've found that being friends with villagers makes it easier to kick them out - they feel like they've done all they can on the island and want to seek other things. The only way I was able to kick her out after almost 3 weeks was using the campsite.

@@zoeyraziachavez3232 usually they'll give you clues to the personality the villager is, for example, if you have a lazy villager, it could say something like "this book has some sugar, drool, and crumbs on it"
But you have to have a high friendship level to do so, if it's low, it'll just say "Someone lost this"
Curly was one of my starter villagers, and after almost a year he has still not asked to move. I’ve been trying to get him out since I got the game. Cherry was my other starter villager ❤️ but her house is the wooden block set crap and not her real home. I want to have her move out and bring her back in with an amiibo card to have her real home, even if that starts our friendship back at square one. It wouldn’t take long to be best friends again Bc she’s one of my favs
Currently, the villagers in my island that I love are Skye, Kidd, and Reneigh. The ones who I'm trying to kick out are Frobert, Sandy and Quillson.

Highest friendship rating I have is with Lucky. He's adorable, lazy and loves bugs so I always give him some of the more expensive bugs for his home.

I've always loved Lucky. He's in all four of my ACNL towns. I have not gotten him on any of my two ACNH islands because I just don't have that many NMTs.

the method i always use, which usually works, is to talk to every villager except the one you want out, then time-travel ten days forward and again, talk to every villager except the one you want out, and then time-travel backward ten days (the day you started on) and the villager should have a thought bubble.

Know what u mean. On the flip side: I moved out Marina who everyone seems to love. Replaced her with Gruff who I love, but is a Tier D villager on some lists.
@@maggies25 Aw man I knew Gruff in New Leaf and I loved him. His house was so cool. I remember going there everyday just to play his guitar and drums, and to hear his music. He was like a cool old uncle/grandpa once he began to like me. (I think people dislike him because his color pallette looks like vomit but I don't mind)

Diva and I have the most friendship level because 1. she's like the only one that sends me letters with a present and we get along really nice :D 2. when I returned her notebook she was really happy and I think she gave me something (i can't remember) and 3.she was really happy that I visited her when she was sick :)... and on that note I LOVE Diva!
Ever since I started steamrolling my progress through the game with T.T., I've ended up with a good amount of my villagers being "okay" at best. I have at least three that I absolutely dislike, one of the first ones being Jeremiah. At least now that I have the max amount of villagers I can work on getting rid of at least one.

For whatever *ungodly* reason, rng made it so that HE was the first camper at my island’s camp site, and I was still ultra-new to this game in the franchise at the time, so I didn’t realize he wouldn’t ever leave if I didn’t ask him to stay at first. I was FURIOUS when I found out later there was zero way around it, since the game won’t progress until you ask the first camper (who’ll never leave otherwise) to stay.
So I put his house on a cliff, blocked it off from the outside world with brick walls and dirt, planted tons of evergreens to hide his house from the view of the rest of my villagers, and left trash all over his little walled-off plateau.
Yes, I know that villagers can just teleport to wherever outside, but I just wanted to be mean to him and his pompous attitude.
I have done nothing but smack him with nets until he feels terrible, shove him around and then smack him some more, trap him at the pier by strategically digging holes so that his escape back into civilization for the day was but a fruitless endeavor for him, and give him wrapped trash for his birthday yesterday.
Toy Day’s today, so you can bet I’m gonna wrap up MORE trash and give it to him for the gift exchange, just to pour lemon juice on the wound.
I don’t get why he won’t just leave, I’ve been nothing but terrible to him. Everyone else on the island has had the bubble that makes them ask to move out at least once, if not a few times already for some, and yet somehow HE hasn’t???
Tl;dr I love 9/10 of my current villagers and don’t want any of them to leave.
The last 1/10, a.k.a. Fugly Duckling? I would punt him into a trash compactor if I had the option to. I’d sell him to Satan for one corn chip. I want him off my island ASAP.
Call me terrible for hating this Duck this much, but I knew (and despised) someone who would bully everyone in my friend group and me that looked like a human-version of him when I was in my sophomore year of high school all those years ago, so imo, the hate’s deserved.
But in all seriousness, thanks for making this vid!
Hopefully I can get Fugly Duckling to FINALLY move out using the method you described (and then I will be at peace)

Chops forced himself in my island, thanks to Nook, when I was progressing. I tried everything from this video to get him to move out. I even sent him a warning letter saying, "I'll get right to it. You're in danger. Every *carnivore* on my island wants you *gone*." A few days later, Ankah and me hatched a plan. We gathered every carnivores, and told them our plan. When night came, we all stayed up and waited for everyone to fall asleep. Everyone was assigned an area to cover more ground quickly. Meanwhile Ankha and me, went to gather materials for a raft. Once done, we were to meet at the beach. Our raft was done, and it had a sail made with leather, so it was harder to manage. Our carnivore friends came back to the beach, hauling a bunch of fruits, and a few homemade dishes. A strong cold wind, was blowing from the north. they packed the food on the, rather large raft. Than proceeded to carry Chops to the raft. several hours later, still asleep, chops opened his eyes, to find that he wasn't on Paradice, (island name, play on words) but what seemed like the middle on the ocean. Around that time I sent an anonymous tip letter to Dodo Airlines, letting them know about Chops's location. And ever since his departure, everyone on Paradice was happier than ever, and we never saw him again. Ankha is and always was, my number one islander. Fin. (I invited someone from another island)

@@hexgirlsgroupie One way is to not interact with him at all. Not even whack him. Just wait until it has a thought bubble. second way, is to get maximum villagers, than when you invite a new one, the new one will ask to move in. Say yes, than you'll have the choice to evict that annoying pork chop. Or use an amiibo.

Kiki and Groucho are currently my two villagers who I have the highest friendship status with. I've also been toying with the idea of if Canberra wants to move I'd let her, not because I don't like how she looks I think that's silly, it's just I don't feel especially bonded with her, so I've been sort of ignoring her.. but now I feel terrible because she's been sending me letters about how she's been feeling down and is trying to tough it out.. I don't think I can make her move anymore

It took me weeks to get Katt out. She freaked me out. I could look at her. And seven OTHER villager wanted to leave before her because I was time jumping so much while doing an entire re-do of my island.

I actually wouldn't recommend giving furniture because your villagers display it in their houses and it can kinda... ruin it. Instead, just do the fruit stack trick, especially if you want to get their photo because if you fill your inventory with items and in one slot you have a stack of fruits
when you give the villager the stack, they only take one so the stack will still be there but with one less fruit. Then they send it through the mail and it has a 100% chance of being furniture or clothing so you'll never get any wallpaper or flooring. But make sure it's a couple stack of fruits, at least 2 of them because if it's one it'll take it out and since the game only gifts one, it'll leave an empty space and the villager will give the present back right at that moment
Portia and I are best friends on my island. Either Poppy or Skye is also best friends. I don't have any of their photos but I did get the best friend reaction from snooty and normal (and i think lazy- that would be Dizzy I'm best friends with)
