In all honesty, the part of this challenge that sounds the most soul crushing is having to sit through Isabelle's announcements THAT MANY TIMES WITHOUT A BREAK.

But, once more and more villagers stop subscribing, Isabelle slowly gets more and more sad, AND! if u manage to get ur entire island to unsubscribe? Isabelle loses her job and will wander around the island aimlessly.

My favorite thing about this part of the game is that if there are no donations, Lloid will still say “Currently we have 0 bells in donations, which is just lovely, isn’t it?” It’s like you can’t tell if he’s just always happy or he’s being sassy, because he says the same thing no matter how much has been donated

*long answer short:* it took him 2 years and 1 day (obviously time traveling), but players need to make the final donation and it varies based on number of villagers and your friendships levels with them as well

If you have online, you can go to a treasure island and get tons of bells, the only downside is that it's hard to get in
Or you can get a bunch of royal crowns from there and sell them.
I actually put a bridge yesterday and went to donate the whole sum this evening only to discover that there had been a donation of over 1300 bells. Since I didn't have any friends over on my island I just knew it had to be the villagers, but I never knew they actually could donate. Your video did help me realize that I'll still be better off doing it myself though, but it was nice to realize that the villagers can actually help
1300 is a lot for one day, that must be max friendship + 10 villagers!

I was gonw for a few months, and my bridge was almost paid off entirely, had 9 villagers and really high friendship. I ended up only paying life half of the bridge funds but still.
Yes! My villagers donated 31,000 in one week before I was able to pay it off. It was great!
I know this comment was 2 years ago but this was exactly how I felt after procrastinating so long to get more trailers at Harv’s island. They donated like 40k for one and I was just kinda astonished as someone who buys a bridge then pays it off immediately

yeah the older games had similar features, city folk had a “town fund” to donate to and new leaf had “public works projects” as the player is the mayor. It was harder to get money in the older games so i noticed when the villagers would donate, but it was never much. if you played only the newest game so far you’d probably never even notice when your villagers pitch in and just pay for all your buildings immediately lmao
The game even tells you that the villagers can pay it off.
I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THIS DAMN GAME SINCE LAST APRIL AND I NEVER REALIZED THERE WAS A DIY STATION IN THE TOWN HALL (commence silent screaming for my wasted time)

@@Cassandraann111 No. It is decided when the game is loaded and you can't change it. However, you can get a certain villager to leave if you like the visitor. You just need to play cards with them and when they suggest someone you don't want to leave, you can shut the game down immediately and they might suggest someone else the next time. But if you go through the dialogue the game will eventually auto save and lock the villager they suggested. Wish I knew this at the beginning.

I've tried this but without TT. It took two months to build cheapest incline and I had to pay final 1025 bells. Villagers donated +/- 11 000 bells daily.
In acnl, I left my fountain entirely to my villagers and it took like 3 weeks.

Depends on the game. All debts payed. All items. 100% donations. Because you can skip time you can easily run big goals. This game a few people do start to earning the K.K. Slider event and calling that the ending. A few people also liked 0 to 5 Star island runs. You more or less pick a goal and run that. The common ones being the big events. This game because it has a few interesting goals you can run those and that is a lot to mix and match.
