I chose the 7 of diamonds. Does that mean I’m a sucker?... that was insane.
Phil Gatenby bro I picked that one to lol
Because there was a slight pause at the 7 of diamonds.
@@Kevin.Callens Just because of that, I chose something else.
Kevin Callens yeah I picked it and was well aware that he knew that that’s what I chose because there was a pause there because of like a cut in the cards or osmbtin
Play at 0.25x. There’s probably more than 1 card of 7 diamonds. 😆

everyone gansta till you watch it in 0.25 speed
When he talks about the learning process, all learning processes happen during sleep, that's why practicing something for a long period of time without sleeping in between is not the most effective way, and that's why you leave something and the day after that it works better, the most effective way of learning something that involves the use of muscles is to learn to the point of frustration, then going a little bit further, then stop, a good night sleep, and repeat the other day. Also taking breaks, 1 hour practice, 15 minutes relaxation. You thank me later.
There was a lot of 7s in one spot there, which means you slithered your way into our subconscious and it worked! That was crazy! XD
Mine was jack of spades
Me too jack of spade

Slow the playback speed down in settings you'll see that the 7 card is displayed more than other cards and for longer.
Took me watching it again but I figured it out
The 7 of Diamonds at the beginning is actually creepy. That made me look around in my room.
Nothing creepy, it's just forced pick
Its not creepy he had cards stacked in order and the 7diamomds looks like there was at least 5 of the 7diamonds continuously so thats the one most ppl pick. Cheap trick
It all comes down to visual perception. You arrange the cards in a very particular order so that your eyes are guaranteed to catch the 7
Slow down the video and look at it again . Pfff
@Awakening Enthusiast thas what i said
i actually saw that the 7 showed up longer so i chose the 6 of spades 😜
Chose jack of spades for the same reason. Ohh how smart I feel right now !! 😂

Jokes on you. Thanks to my slow ass reaction time I saw the 7 of hearts at the end of the few cards rather than the 7's of diamonds.

What you said about relaxing and coming back to a practiced move is something neuroscientist David Huberman talks about. Through fMRIs, it was found that taking a break after an intense practice your brain is still actively repeating the movements and very rapidly. Like building muscle, it's during the recovery period the neuroplasticity occurs that enables movement to become 2nd nature. There's also a practice technique for playing piano where you repeat a pattern for 25 minutes, then rest for 5 minutes doing absolutely nothing. Then repeat the process. Those 5 minutes of recovery dramatically improve the desired technique.

I know how this trick is done. It's still pretty cool to watch. Especially when you have certain variations that spice it up. The queen having the 7. Wow. I like that one.
Yay! I saw there were "several" 7 cards, but OBVIOUSLY you initially tricked me! Another hint for others doing this (not certain if he planned this) but putting the 7's much further in the deck is the key as people think they can trick the magician by not choosing the first cards they see & waiting for later ones. A+ bother, magic is kindness.
“Magic is kindness” I like that. I’ve never really cared for magic and I’ve been watching Chris Ramsay for a loooong time and I’m starting to appreciate it thanks to this man ♥️
I watched this video in 0.25x speed and i got to know that there are lots of 7 of diamonds in row 😂😂😂

When you ruffled thru the cards there were like 80 7s in a row
Yep it was a couple of 7 of diamonds so as to make us focus on it.
Lol do that with one of each card for a real magic trick
Exactly, at first even I was amazed then I paid attention to the fact that there were a series of 7s
true. The 7 was the only one you could clearly see
Linus Pihan jack was highly visible at the end of the riffle
I've been to turkey and I can verify that there are stalls on every corner that do the ice cream tricks. It doesn't fall because its sticky instead of soft like normal ice cream and as it's made differently it doesn't melt
Love the one at 12:38, those like trick deck things are super cool. Its incredible how fast you can get at switching out cards. I was watching the at 12:38 frame by frame and he flips the card out in ONE frame. So like 1/30th of a second(depending what he was filming at) .
That’s a lot of sevens in that deck there buddy
lol
@@ZY-mu2sk its got the standard number of 7s in the pack but the seven of hearts is placed directly in front of it
@@agentcarbunkle no. there's like four 7s of diamonds (could be a 7 of hearts in the middle somewhere) followed by one, maybe two 7s of hearts. and a black 7 (didn't notice which, clubs i think) about a dozen or so cards before the 7s of diamonds. i can't do slight of hand, but i'm perceptive. there are several sevens in that deck. at least six of them. probably eight.

Chris: “What card is he holding?”
Me; “Definitely not a Jack of spades my dude...”
Edit: It was pretty clear he was forcing a card. I *TOTALLY* didn’t purposefully look over that card
Haha, totally. He flashed the 7 diamonds about 8 times in that little riffle, but I saw the Jack of Spades and was like "ok that's my card. Bring it on"... Then a brief disappointment as he produced the card, followed by laughter at the twist. v. nice.

It's weird that out of 23k views I'm only the 7th who had that
ok... your trick worked with me, and watching a second time a figured out how it works, and its amazing.
6:12 For people who don’t understand what happened here I’ll break it down super simple,
he lifts up the deck to show the 4, as soon as he starts to put the deck down he VERY quickly flicks the card under his other hand if you look closely you can see it.
That’s also why his hand with the card stays in a square like shape the rest of the clip
Idk dude, if you go frame by frame, the card bends and when it should start flying it kind of just disappears. Definitely think what you said is possible and makes sense, but im not actually convinced. That seems like something that someone like Chris would like, pick up on right away. I saw him bend the card the first time I watched it and I could only fool a dog with a card trick lmfao.(edit: When I say disappears I mean like I dont see it go under his hand. I know it doesnt actually disappear.)
I guess a 4 is under is left hand the whole time. The 4 he shows to the camera is shown only from one side and if you play it in slow motion it seems the card is just flicked over (so maybe a double sided card; since you never see both sides at the same time). Even though very well executed, since the only thing I really noticed was the card flick.
i wasn't even paying attention and randomly chose 7 of diamonds to catch him out but somehow i got unlucky...
Edit: everyone's talking about how there are multiple 7 of diamonds and cool yeah I saw that when I rewinded the video in disbelief. The point was I wasn't looking at the screen I was doing something else or not paying attention. I'm not sure if my gut saw this out of the corner of my eye and gave me that feeling or not but somehow I guessed right.

The 4 of clubs trick; he flips it upside down first before dropping the rest of the cards on top and when he turns them over, its a double lift on the bottom card which I believe was 7 of hearts and it's face down underneath it. Then obviously has another 4 of clubs under his left palm the entire time.
Actually the phenomenon of performance enhancing breaks is also commonly used with juggling. These types of things are tatted by the brain like a puzzle solved with your muscles, and it's the type of puzzle that's best worked on by your unconscious mind. So taking a break or "sleeping on it" is a great way to kickstart your muscle memory.
6:00 "We all know she's in the chair somehow." Not me lol
Here is how I think hot it works:
The 4 clubs is in his left hand. He shows the bottom of the deck into the camera, but the bottom card (also 4 clubs) is also printed on the other side with 8 clubs. When he lets the card fall down, the bottom card rotates, and now the 8 clubs is on the bottom.
caught that to, at 6:17 you can actually see the 4 of clubs flick out at the bottom to flip over
caught that too. watching too much magic we catch too many things. feels bad sometimes
Gorgeous force pick and prestige in the end!
so it's basically a visual memory trick, that's so smart wth

The moving 4 of Clubs is pretty straightforward. He has one palmed in left hand from the start. The one we see on the bottom of the deck is a 4C/7D double sided. When he drops on the table he flips the double card away from him so it lands the other side down.
So cool! I think I figured out the girl popping out of the chair. It looks like there is just enough room for her to fit inside the chair itself. Its probably upholstered to look full with hidden flexible fabric flaps. Thank you for sharing Chris!
You’re right on with taking breaks. Anytime I’ve made progress on guitar over the years it was after taking a few days off when learning a new technique. Your subconscious gets time to process it when you’re in a relaxed state
Yep, been playing for 34 years, was in the band for about 15 years. Got completely burnt out on playing. I stop playing so long that I got my fingerprints back and completely lost my calluses. One day I was standing in my living room and the song effect and the cause by The White Stripes popped into my head. Picked up my guitar, started playing the gun and killed it from then on out. I took a break for about 3 years. I guess I needed it.
That seven of d really got me! Mind completely blown! Bravo, so we'll done.
Right before you riffled through, I said to myself, "I will choose the king of hearts" and after the riffle I was like, "I didn't actually see the king of hearts but I did see a 7 of diamonds so I will go with that one."
Mind blown when you revealed BOTH of the cards I thought about. Well done, good sir.
...well then.....
*8:31** - 👏😲 Good one! I've never seen ANY magician turn themself into a plant before!*
Remember when we were below 1 Mil and then the puzzles came after the mill and you just blew up ...real happy for you man love your videos keep emm comin
I saw a strange break in the deck and made the deliberate choice not to pick a card around that point because I was wondering if that was important, then free the reveal I went back and watched the trick again and noticed that a certain card seemed to appear multiple times.
This is why magicians don't repeat tricks, and all the social media magicians have my respect for putting themselves out there in an easily repeatable medium. The ones who can still fool a large, ever-changing audience without the magic of video editing are mind-blowing, but even people doing the tricks that don't survive multiple rewatches tend to still be extremely talented practitioners of their craft and worth the respect that garners
Man...so cool to see you getting this many views and subs in the last years.

he had a pew 7 in the cards like 5-6 cards of 7
6:16 he flips the bottom card (4♣) that has 7♦ printed on its back.
also I had the 7♦ on the first trick and the chairwoman is AMAZING!!!
That opening magic trick blew my mind..
Being able to go frame by frame is an excellent way to learn magic on CZcams ;)
When you talk about the slight of hand & relaxing the brain it’s the same way when playing guitar. Where if you keep playing the same thing over & over that you can’t get if you take time away it helps to nail it. Mainly just to help relax the muscles.
Me:yea dude that’s not the card....

Me: laughs hysterically* shutthefuckup.😂
Sooo fony
@6:18 If you're still struggling to figure it out then watch it slowly (CZcams slomo is flipping great) while remembering that people can have more than one 4 of Clubs and why they clumsily only use the right hand and we never see both sides of the left.
You must already know about Richard Turner then. The blind card mechanic that fooled Penn & Teller. That guy is a true master.

@Luqman Hafeez dude same
Oh my goodness, nice trick at the beginning bro, but a little easy for you, I've only been doing magic for a couple months, and I noticed how you did it.
I figured out how the 4 of clubs trick worked. The 4 of clubs was a double sided card. He had a duplicate 4 of clubs in his hands the entire time. When he did the fancy card thing, you can notice the bottom card flips over, which is showing how the 4 of clubs becomes facing down, with the 7 of diamonds facing up. It is done so well and smoothly though.
Well, that intro was lucky or you let us see a little more the 7, probably that.
@Eddie Turbine or there is just more than one 7 of diamonds in the pack... 🙄
I got jack spade
At full speed you can tell the 7 of diamonds is seen way longer than if there was just one and when slowing it down you can really see there is more than one 7 of diamonds so in a way it is a card force.
Chris Ramsay is so awesome he once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.
You made my day
Underrated comment
Oh flip nice trick at the beggining of the video bro, you got me
for the trick in the beginning:
I think it's a bit of a psychology trick. Planting the idea, or card in the mind. It won't work for everyone but majority of people watching. The card at the bottom is 10 of diamonds and is there the longest to plant the suit at the forefront of a person's thoughts. as he flips through the deck about halfway through you see a red 7 and he very slightly speeds up after making you pay less attention to whatever is left after the 7. For how fast he's fanning through the deck there's a risk someone won't catch the suit and question, "Was it the 7 of hearts or the 7 of diamonds?" hence the 10 of diamonds in the beginning being important. If you slow the video down you'll see it was in fact the 7 of diamonds, a kind of 2nd nail in the subconscious board to keep the viewer from 2nd guessing themselves. Also there's the psychology of humans tend to not go with the first thing presented them when given choices, but rather wait and see what else will come along, hence the 7 is strategically placed, right in the center of the deck and the end of discernable visualization... the rest being sped up to be a blur.
Or am I simply overthinking it? If I'm right you can recreate the trick with any two number cards and have the most success, so long as they're of the same suit. ALSO I would wager the reason to go with a number over a jack queen king or ace, is because people see numbers more than they see cards and we don't have to think so hard about identifying a number in our mind from a quick image... orrr perhaps it doesn't matter and I've gone too far :P.
It didn't work on me..... I was so tired when I watched this... all I was thinking was "Diamonds..." and just randomly picked 6.... don't invite me on stage. :P
The guy who did the torn and restored (ultimate or revision) is normally so good and clean but in this one he flashed a bit and you noticed the palm to “load” and it was no where near as clean as I’m used to.
Nice stack of 7 of diamonds' in that deck, well played. Smart way to influence the choice. I'm going to use that

That first effect was first done by Harry Lorayne. The trick isn't exactly the same, but I know for a fact Chris found out how it's done the moment he saw it. It's a cool trick, but not complicated at all. Any magician with decent card-trick background can watch that trick and be able to perform it within an hour.
That was nice. Good stack, knowing we would double back.

Me: No HA!

I ended up with the 4 of clubs whilst also noticing that the 7 of diamonds was slightly able too be seen more, split seconds even, before he showed me the king of hearts and also Immediately spotting the small 7 of hearts he was holding!!!! All before he even got to telling me!! For reference no special decks have any hidden secrets for me, I’m a hawk when it comes to details! Sadly slight of hand also nobody can get me with I see it all. This ability allows me to detect where the exact center is on any normal object within milliseconds. Sadly this ability ruins my life quite a lot because I can’t experience things like a normal human being. I’m a freak of nature and it’s a nightmare! Have fun and good luck!!!!!!!

6:12 there is a camera blip...watch the pulse on his left hand and you can see it's off beat as the bottom card swings out.

9:50
i think he used a paint of that block
and a green screen something for that card stand
For the 4 of clubs, I think he already had a 4 of clubs from another deck in his left hand. When he picked the deck, he just flicked the card out of the deck by using the camera angle to his advantage. Afterwards he just does his trick and shows the card that was in his left hand all along
