Not only that, but the Jimny was ordered 12 months in advance as a secret surprise Christmas present for Jonny's wife. The Jimny is used every day and is the idea has always been to try and maximise its practicality without the realms of the aftermarket.

Those are great additions. I used to drive a Suzuki SJ413 and made similar changes. I had 4 spots fitted but they were the old incandescent bulbs. But having said that, when you turned on the extra 200 watts, it really lit the way. I also found a couple of small wide angle beams mounted on the sides of the roof rack were useful. I think these are called "Alley Lights" in the USA. I don't think we Brits have a name for them. All the best, Pete

Jonny, what you are putting on the bonnet is a bonnet protector. We do have loose stones on our roads here in Australia & they are normally kicked up by the car in front. I've never used them due to the mounting points causing rust spots on the bonnet.
Although the roof mounted spotlights look cool, I'm amazed you didn't put on an LED light bar.
I've owned Vitaras & Grand Vitaras since 1992 & I'm on my 4th one. The current Vitara I found to be a soft roader SUV. My next update will be the Jimny.

When I was at uni our kayak club had an old transit meat wagon we'd bought from a police auction that was still in full riot spec - perspex windows, bull bars, fittings for the metal cage to go over the windscreen. Every time the cops pulled us over to complain about the bull bars we had to explain to them that we didn't put them on the van, they did.

Like your brother said , you won’t want to be hit by one, (bull bar) and can’t see they wouldn’t be Child pedestrian safe.

I doubt it will make much difference when hit by a flat fronted vehicle.

It's already got a 3star rating can't make it much worse, in fact he may even have added a crumple zone! "Traditional" shaped 4x4s always struggle with pedestrian safety.

You should get the silver bits spayed the same colour as the front grill surround and get the new wheels painted to match

Great mods on Jimny. Simple yet functional and doesn't fiddle with the overall aesthetics of the Jimny. First video which I watched from this channel was Rimac-Nevera. Hooked ever since to the channel. Great practical content with simple and clear presentation. Great video.

Love the new lights! Indeed G Wagon-esque. And when you knocked on the door, that sounded a heck of a lot better than old Suzukis did; nice and damped. Liking the new Jimny a lot.

Some really tasteful mods. Can't wait wait it see it on a set of shoes, will totally transform it! As much as I know you weren't keen on the black initially, it does help to make it more subtle and have a more OEM feel.

Your brother has an amazing garage. I would be like a kid in a candy shop exploring the work benches. I used to like the Mini bullbars of old until they were outlawed(as you said). I miss my days of spending my spare time in my garage doing something to my car. So thank you for a lovely bit of nostalgia of what us petrol heads loved doing best. Thank you jonny & Merry Christmas to you & your family. Have a good one.
