  • Have you ever wondered if your mud guards even do why they say they do. Well I went to test these husky mud guards that I purchased from amazon to see a little before & after. You’ll be surprised on the outcome. #mudguards #mudflaps

When flinging mud the flaps protect not just your truck, but people behind you are protected from flinging rocks and pebbles.

Your flag decal is incorrect. It is suppose to be as if it is flapping in the wind, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer.

It’s how the military use their flag, however it is pointing the wrong way. The stars are opposite on the uniform because we “assault forward”.

If your tires were not wider than the fenders, the mud guards would have worked a lot better. Even so, those will keep the mud from sitting on your running boards and inside the front of your door bottoms. Definitely worth the time to install.

Mud guards come in many forms.
Brand name husky are useless in my opinion. Sure they do some sort of help. But for those who want durability and longevity with an actual proper mud guard look to those who work in the mud all day year round for years. Husky mud guards are useless for us in those out doors out back industries , mining, oil and gas, forestry… etc…
For us we use heavy duty and professional options such as a custom made stainless long john type to help cover most of the wheel well along side custom fender flares to push the body out alot more. The reason we install ours in a certain way with out screws we use a boot with big washers and do a full custom install to last and not tear and rip when they are covered with mud and snow
Causing cracking if they were plastic and also snapping off in the extreme cold with the dirt road bumps etc. I can go on for days but in my opinion. Don’t go cheap you’ll end up paying cheap many times over
    I’d rather get custom
Pay a pretty penny and put last any other option thus causing you to spend less in the long run

Trailblazer Films Thanks for the video and reply. I just got a 2012 3 weeks ago. I have 17x9 +12 which is 1” more to the outside than stock. I was looking at aftermarket flares but the top isn’t an issue if you look at the wheel. It’s midway which I’d need a 3.5” flare. Probably look crazy. So mud guards seem like the best option. Most appear to be 12” wide. I’d love a 14” or so would most likely cover the entire wheel. But even at 12” as per your video it made a huge difference.
