I went to remove my mud flaps because my tires were running on them and noticed they were running on my paint too! - Zábava

Thanks man I'm super excited!
I’m going bigger in a couple of months but I wanna get rid of my mid flaps right now cause I feel like the truck just looks better without them 😀
They do. Im removing mine today
Well have 2021 tacoma SR with no mud flaps wait to see how much stuff including salt and mud collects onto your step up bar and side of vehicle think that will end up do more harm then keeping your mudflaps on defiantly getting mud flaps.
Running 35 x 12.5's on my 2018, did not have to remove the mud flaps. Once I upgraded my Upper Control Arm's, the alignment tech was able to move my wheels just enough to clear with no
rubbing.
Hey man that's awesome! I wish mine would have worked that way! What offeset are your wheels??
how about after raining day? i'm using 285/60R18, my tyres rubbing on mudguard, i removed it but. now...... i got splash everwhre even on my side window & side mirror, during raining season, my car looks like an off-road condition even i'm totally on-road....
Thanks for the good info
Yeah my 2021 toyota 4runner has little rocks stuck between the mud flap and the paint on the fender 😢probably gonna damage the paint
what's the lift set up you have?
What did you do to fix the wear?
I put 285/75R18 (35 inch) Duratracs on my TRD PRO ..kept stock rims..now rubbing and no need to cut or anything. Will probably not ever go back to the smaller stock 32 inch tires even though those Michelin LTX AT/2's were actually pretty good tires.
285 dose not equal 35”
It’s a 33
@Alex Lapointe 285 is just the width. You're wrong as they are a true 35 inches tall(actually 35.1 new) . You should check things before you write as many other "35" tires are not actually 35 inches tall but are labeled that because it is so close to that measurement
Hi!from japan,Your video is very helpful.Teach me the tires, please.
Did you try using a heat gun to bend the plastic parts on the mud flap? You should be able to bend them back about 1-2”.
No I didn’t, I just found that moving it forward and retightening the bolts were easier! I have seen people do that but I didn’t need to!
Wanting 275/70/17 (32s) on mine, I don't have any front flaps, but curious will they rub the rear mudflaps on stock height in the rear?
Hey man so the tire size you are talking about is 2.3 inches shorter than mine in diameter so you should be good! The factory tire is only 32" in diameter and the 275/70/17's are 32.2" So you should be good! But if you want to check I'd go to customoffsets.com and look at their fitment guide. You can plug in tire size, lift/no lift and see how it fits on people's trucks!
I'm getting new rims. I was wondering what offset you went with?
Hey man mine have an offset of +25mm. Stock offset for tundras is +60mm. So we got about an inch and a half wider! Here is the link to that video! czcams.com/video/iBC1VbxsJR4/video.html
Did you remove the front flaps also? I noticed on my 2019 with my 33 x 12.5 they run on the front
Hey man! Yeah I did! If you watch this video I show how I removed the at the very beginning of the video! czcams.com/video/Acz0hJ3M10g/video.html
Fix this too “are oversized tires ruining your mud flaps and paint?”
Not that I’ve seen!
No problem if you own the Off Road
Hello, what size of your taco tires?
Hey Man it's 297/70 R18! Feel free to check out the video on them! czcams.com/video/Acz0hJ3M10g/video.html
