Do not plant them close to you yams too much competition at least 15ft from your yams and do not allow more that two suckers to come up from the mother plant. Cut out the rest. Remember cut out the rest.
For those of us who are not professional farmers who has planted growing on their resident property what can be used in place of such an expensive and perhaps inaccessible tool most people have a machete at home Will that work
Too much suckers drain nutrients from the mother plant so you will not get the required size of fruits. Therefore you should leave only one or two sucker

What can you do with the platain seeds after you detach them from the mother?
They are called suckers you can plant them somewhere else

I have a plantain with 15 suckers around,will they die if I don't remove them and plant some where else?
No they won't die but the will compete with each other and fruits will be very small on them

I read you should leave two suckers in the ground next to the mother for the next crop of bananas
Two can work but ensure they have alot of space
I've also done that but unfortunately there's no root in sapling, is it a problem 😅?
When you clean your plantain suckers they won't have any roots and they grow quickly.

Please why are you removing all the suckers from the main plant, does it have something to do with the mother plant ?

You are also bothering the mother plant instead you can cut the sucker and poke a small rod in middle of the sucker
If the mother plant is shooting you must not remove suckers cause you will be disturbing the mother plant.
