    I agree on the banana "grooming" it makes the banana patch look much nicer! Banana are great looking plants if you're able to keep up on their "grooming".

    Thanks for the tips George. I’m excited to try growing bananas in Victoria in the near future.

    Sad to see the pups go! I would have bought some off you for sure! At least they have a use for you as mulch.

      Bananas are the number one edible plant which also offer that true tropical feel in your garden. Mind you, they can spread fast and you may run into problems with neighbours.

    Will bananas grow at my home in Launceston do you think please ?
    It gets very frosty at -4°c during mid winter times in the early mornings.
    Enjoyed watching this video greatly. Thank you.

      In a sheltered microclimate they should do well, wind protection is key. Here's living proof from nearby Devenport. www.theadvocate.com.au/story/5919439/yes-you-can-grow-bananas-in-tasmania/

    Newby banana question: How do you know on which side the rack will come out? Is it totally random? Or can you influence this somehow?

      @RealLifeFruitopia  Před 2 lety

      Depends on the tilt and balance of the plant. You may have some influence over the direction if you prop it early.

    Can a one year old avocado seedling survive through winter? It still has a green stem

    The banana flower will give you a new banana tree and if you chop off the horns on the banana corn you will get several banana trees.

  • @sowyouthinkyoucanplant5630

    You just need to prune that camelia to grow out wards and keep the inside free for dragonfruit movement and not a dense canopy, no need to kill the tree!

      I don't want it back, still deciding whether to pull it out completely.

  • @grownbyme-lakeillawarra2993

    Kim’s idea is great the dragon fruit will look stunning when it flowers and fruits over that tree frame

    To kill it drill a hole an put in it thick salt. It will eventually die without using pesticides
