- In todays chronicle I'm busting out the new weed eater!!
The #Echo SRM-3020T
The best way to describe this weed eater is one word.... WOW ! It's the perfect machine that boasts a ton of power, all while being lightweight and easy to maneuver. This thing is a game changer if your life involves lots of weed eating.
I will be doing a full review on this after after I get some more use of out it.

I would probably get my lawn mower right after to get that clean leveled cut plus mulch
That black twisted echo line is great, noticeable performance improvement on the smaller 21cc machines vs crossfire or stihl round line, plus there's no obvious bright orange bits left behind after the customers hidden rocks or old fence wire catch you out.
Bingo!
Good review 👍 price is reasonable for good built & awesome performance of the product...
Nice video...do a video with the brush blade attachment....I bet it works great too...I have srm 266...I will be getting your model soon for extra power...
I will definitely do that as well! The grass is about 5 times as tall now lol
I've had mine for about 6 months. Awesome trimmer. I use a 3 string fixed head. 1.05 diameter string.
They r really great! I really put this thing through the ringer last week, that video is coming soon lol!
Cool weed eater and sweet suit, too! 😂 👍. Awesome -Brad
Thanks Brad, cant beat the weed eater and paint suit combo lol
Try wearing that in 90+ weather!
@@markhunt6573 I’ve done it once lol. Definitely not recommended 😂😂
Hey good work
I have had my 3020T for over 1 year now. It is extremely heavy >13 lbs fueled and the string melts together making feeding the string impossible. The string melts because of the extreme tension on the string during heavy trimming, hitting fence wire, etc. In this service, a blade is best. This trimmer is a beast!
No complaints on my end! Compared to some other weed eaters I’ve ran, this one is far more superior!
Try the Shakespeare Ugly Line available at Lowe's in a 3lb roll for around $33.00 and it won't melt.
it helps to keep the gear head greased that helps keep the heat down
Go with: Echo Black Diamond .105 and store (entire spool) in bucket of water. Keep head greased to reduce heat.
I prefer removing guard...BUT...if you do you MUST wear 'ballistic wrap-around safety glasses'!!!
2:20 sheeeeesh chill on the 💧
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH
I’ve had nothing but problems with mine, specifically the Speedfeed 500 head jamming up and sucking line back into the head. What diameter line are you using?
Hello, renegade brush blades have had great reviews on this ech 3020t. Renegade makes 3 sizes. 8 inch, 9 inch, and 10 inch brush cutting blades.. do you happen to know if this can take all three sizes. I've seen reviews but, the brush kit the local dwaler sold me says it's compatible with 2620 pas and others but does not lust the 3020,, and it says it's for 8 inch blades
Now renegade website lists trimmer torque recommendations based in blade sizes.. that being said, since the 3020 has good torque, can it accept any of the 3 sizes? Any feed back is appriciated. ..
I have the 3020 with the U handle (bullhorn whatever) an amazing strimmer.
Capable of the smaller stuff, and capable of some bigger stuff it’s the perfect balance. If you wanted a lighter machine, get the next model down. I do also have the srm520 which is a pure beast.
On the 3020, using the speed feed head. I tried the black diamond 2.4mm, but found it to be absolutely junk. I think it’s because the 2.4mm is the overall diameter, where the core is closer to 2mm. Meaning it’s not a true 2.4mm and weak for my use. Maybe the 2.7mm BD may behave closer to that of the 2.4mm square line I use. The only better line trimmer I’ve come across, is the twisted blue that comes in the speed feed when you buy it. I believe that is 2.7mm and has a much more agressive twist that the black diamond.
My 520 uses the same square line but in 3mm. Both are wonderful machines for their respective tasks.
Got one and the curly trimmer line continually gets stuck in the spool.
This is the better of the reviews but i wish that some one would take the guard off and run it like it needs to be my 2620t will keep up like that. running a 20 inch cut is nothing to a 1.8 hp
I have a lot of weed eating to do in the coming weeks lol. Ill rip the guard off and let er rip without it lol
Just bought one of these myself. Was curious if yours came with an owners manual or tool or anything like that?? They just handed me weedeater and I was out the door.
Mine did come with a manual actually. Haven’t looked at it tho lol
Hi I'm from the UK and we don't have poison ivy. Can you get a specific herbicide for it?
Either your allergic to it, or your not. It gives you a horrible rash that itches like crazy!
2 srm225 is what I would buy.
Good call. Honestly, any echo is great
You can’t run a small push mower over that area?
I don’t own a push mower lol
@@CountryBoyChronicle well that explains that. I’m sure it’d be faster than a trimmer but then you wouldn’t have any video content I suppose.
next trimmer review: SRM-410X
Is it better than the 3020T ???
@@CountryBoyChronicle its on a whole other level.
infact, its so powerful it requires .105 line
I just bought one and let me tell you...its a god damn beast! Its a lil heavy at first but after using it on a few jobs i got used to it. sooo much power its scary haha cuts through the thickest weeds with ease
@@gregb1037 Cool ! I thought the biggest one was the 3020T when I bought it, wish I woulda went bigger now lol
Where do I find this weedeater?
All you have to do is fine a local store around you that sells echo products. They should have what you are looking for
should get 105 for it :)
What do u mean 105?

@@chriskennedy7262 Ill look into it Chris. Thanks for the suggestion bro!!
@@CountryBoyChronicle np :)
Remove the safeguard... you'll be done quicker
If all it will handle is .95 then it is no better than anything else.
its awesome
It will handle .130 line. You'd be surprised what you can do with 0.95 line if you have enough power behind it.
