  • You spoke, and I listened! Here is the real time, raw audio of the DEVASTATING SRM-3020 on an overgrown ditch. This is the 'U' model with handlebars that makes long-term cutting MUCH less fatiguing and allows your arms to take over rather than your back when it comes to twisting.

And this vid (ESP when comparing it to the 1st time you did this ditch with the reg home use trimmer and push mower) REALLY really shows the difference it makes when you have the proper equipment! Great job, as always, and thanks for sharing this. 👍🏼 always enjoy watching you work your butt off lol. You're the best ☺️.

    • @denicefithian1328
      @denicefithian1328 Před 5 lety +3

      Today's Lawn Care llc he did this ditch when he first got this trimmer.. I think to show how much faster and more efficient it is to do with the proper trimmer cause when he did this ditch the 1st time he used a push mower and a regular non commercial string trimmer.. It took forever and didn't turn out as good as he'd like. I also think we can't really see the steepness of the ditch on camera.. I believe it's a lot more steep than it appears so with a mower (push or otherwise) it's just awkward. This is just my thoughts baby.. I may be way off with my answer but Brad is really good at answering ppls questions. 😊 enjoy the rest of your night.

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 5 lety +1

      Great question Today's, and Denice is absolutely right!
      The camera doesn't show how steep the ditch is. I was worried about oil starvation when I used my push mower last time (which I don't have anymore, so would have had to put my more expensive machines on, and not worth the risk to me). Another fun fact was that ditch is always filled with yard debris. I ran over a pile of rocks with my mower the first time I was there! XD
      If you look at the bottom of the ditch when I jump across the driveway around 6:45, I think, you can see standing water. It definitely wasn't dry during this video, you can even see my boots slide down the steeper parts because of how soaked the ground is.
      But Today's, you are also right that I used this ditch primarily to showcase the new 3020. Even if I didn't film, though, I would still have done the same thing and not put a mower on it.
      Excellent memory Denice, I am impressed!!! :)

    @keetonbarron7993 Před 5 lety +2

    I have a question. First off great video I really enjoy them. Secondly with a ditch that long why would you not have a push mower to help keep that down? I know some guys won't use a push mower they'd rather just weed eat but some would use the push mower to get it done quicker. Im just wondering. I did lawn care for a while and I didn't use one because of space because the push mower was on the back of the trailer and I had to move it everytime to get the rider off and I got tired of having it in the way. Again just wondering. Great videos keep them coming.

      Let's see if answers your comment and my input. 👍😀😎👌

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 5 lety +2

      Great questions Keeton Barron! And Louie Lopez hit the nail on the head!
      I actually did this ditch once before with a non-commercial push mower and it was a complete pain. Trash in the ditch (I kid you not I ran over a pile of rocks that got sucked up in the deck), super steep angle that doesn't show on camera but made me worry about oil starvation for the engine, followed up with a residential grade trimmer that mostly spun the grass rather than cut it! I actually have a video on it here, it is one of my more popular ones.
      But as Louie said, I don't have a push mower anymore, I got rid of it pretty quickly after staring my business in 2017. I found it wasn't worth the aggravation, effort, and I didn't plain like it! So I dumped it and run without one now. If I can't fit in a gate with my 36" then I just pass on the yard, thankfully I haven't had to do that yet!
