Note: This video shows the Strobepro XT Pro controller, which was our equivalent model to the Godox XPro once upon a time.
Available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic & Olympus
    THE EASY CHOICE
Not sure which controller to get? The XPro is the best option for the majority of users. The large, upward-tilted display makes managing your flash groups easy, particularly if you ever work from a tripod. If you need a pass-through hotshoe, go for the X2T-C instead.
    THE STROBEPRO DIFFERENCE
Strobepro is the largest distributor of Godox products in Canada. Give yourself peace of mind with Strobepro's helpful staff, in-house warranty, and Calgary-based service centre.
    TCM FUNCTION
When using TTL speedlites or strobes, you can quickly take a shot in TTL mode and convert the power used in TTL to a manual power setting with the push of a button. This feature presents a great alternative to a dedicated light meter.

good video, but one other use for the sync function is to allow a leaf shutter lens to trigger the flash, like on a Hasselblad, Rolleiflex TLR, large format camera,or even as a trigger in say a bird hide, an optical 'detector' to fire the shot, without you being at the camera.

As a Sony Interior Design Photographer, I get the White Balance problem quite often. So being able to use the new hot shoe trick and only send the firing signal is ideal for me, as third party adapters would constantly fail on me. Very helpful video. I just received mine from you guys and it's great!
Also, the double click turning off the strobe is an incredible useful new feature.

You can control modelling lights separately for each group: press MOD to swich on all the modelling lights, choose a specific group (by pressing A,B,C... buttons) and then press MOD -- it'll switch off only the lights of that group.

pretty good teaching, I have the Godox XProS TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for sony with 4 860 series strobes and sometimes can't get them to work like tyring to photography night blooming cereus last night which means I didn't get the shot when they basically only bloom for one night and close up at dawn forever. Will try again tonight since they bloom in groups. Gotta be able to just turn on and go which I have not achieved yet. Also, training is rather spotty with this system.

Also, btw, Do You have a tutorial for the flash?

Hi Billy, The XT Pro trigger will always override any local adjustments made on the flash itself. If you're using one of the X series lights then you would see the changes. Depending on the model of OEM speedlite, you won't always see the XT Pro changes on the back of the speedlite display.

Right now theres no option to fire a group without first disabling other groups.
I think it would be a definite plus to be able to select a group, hit the test button and fire only those flashes in the group without having to go to each other group first and disable.
To fire all groups would then be a simple select all and hit test button.... no?
Would really like to see a firmware upgrade addressing this issue... tnx.

  • @tangcanada9381
    @tangcanada9381 Před 5 lety +1

A great trigger, easy to use and definitely an improvement over the old one, however I find the control for the mod lamps too clunky, counter-intuitive and confusing.
I have four strobes each assigned its own group. Displaying all the groups I can turn off or on all mods together. I select a group and turn it off, lamp goes out ok as expected.
I press set button to clear my group selection. The LCD would show an icon at top to indicate mod lights on and an icon next to each group that is currently turned on. I have one turned off, no icon next to that group, good.
I press mod button to turn off all lights, all lights currently on go out, good.
I press mod button again to turn on lights and ALL mods come on... ?? Facepalm. DUH !!
Expected behavior is that only those groups with icon on should be turned on and those previously turned off would stay off.
I would think a firmware upgrade could fix this over-sight / anomaly.
I would also like to see a firmware update where I can select a group and turn the mod light off or on without all coming on /off.
Also an update where I can adjust the power of the each mod lamp using the dial wheel when selected... this would be if the strobe was NOT set to prop.
Also I find the LCD is also tilted too far forward for use on a tripod at head height....maybe just me??.

  • @tangcanada9381

I find that the min/steps setting in the menu screen needs attending to... on my trigger I have the option to set to either 128 or 256 and in steps of 1/10..... theres strobes that only go down to 1/16 power and no way to tell the trigger to stop at 1/16.
My thinking is we should be able to set the limit of each strobe and not be a global setting.
Also, if theres one strobe that is set to 1/1 power while others are set to maybe 1/2 then selecting the "all" option to raise the power of the remaining strobes does not work because the one set to 1-1 has reached its limit.
Similarly, using the "all" feature and adjusting power downwards - if one strobe has reached the lowest limit set in the menu then no others will be adjusted downwards.
Expected behavior is that all strobes not reaching 1-1 power or the min limit should be allowed to adjust until ALL strobes reach the limit whether upper or lower... a firmware update should be able to handle this.

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 měsíci

The Fuji version of this controller does not have the sync options. First/second curtain and HSS are managed inside the camera only. If you have "FP" enabled, in your flash function menu, you should see the HSS symbol active on the top right of the controller's display. If you exceed your flash sync speed, your flashes will automatically switch to HSS. If you are below your flash sync speed, your flashes will fire in 1st curtain sync.

I’m using a 200ADPro & XproC. I’m often off camera, remotely hand holding 200ADPro & remote triggering the camera -using a remote-, however I’ve found the XproC will override any setting I have on the 200ADPro. Is there anyway to stop this so the Xpro will simply trigger the flash & not override it’s settings? (Currently the only workaround I’ve found is to put the Xpro in APP mode (and not use the app) - but this seems a bit backwards? Is there a better or proper way to do this?)

But if the flash is in a manual zoom mode the trigger does not change the zoom on the flash. And as you observed, the display on the flash does not change and thus does not reflect the changed zoom level. I am just assuming the zoom on the flash is changing because I hear it.

Hi Frencesco. If you don't see the sync function, it's likely because you have an active group selected. If you hit the Set button, you should return to the master screen that displays (from left to right) Zoom/CH, Sync, All, and MOD.

is it possible to set group ratios . i.e setting key light (A Group)and fill light(B Group) ratio. essentially I want to set the power of main key light (A Group) to 1/1 and lock it down set the ratio to 1:2. i want the fill light(B Group) to be automatically be set to 1/2. And if I update the Key light to 1/4 then I want fill light power to be 1/8

You can use group ratios on the X60 speedlites in Master mode for Canon but not with the XT Radio Controllers. The ratio settings will be limited to Canon's standard ratios.

Yes, as long as you have the latest firmware on your 360ii.

Using this with my new AD400 but when I go to ETTL or put in an exposure offset in either mode it doesn't display on my AD400. The AD400 shows TTL and 0 for exposure offset. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

      Hi Brian,
The exposure compensation on the strobes and the controller are designed to be independant and will not display on the strobe screen when adjusting the controller. In essence you could dial +3 on the strobe and +1 on the controller for a total of +4. The adjustments are cumulative. If you leave the strobe at 0 and just adjust from the controller you will have -3 to +3 but it just won't show on the strobe screen.
