Note: This video shows the Strobepro XT Pro controller, which was our equivalent model to the Godox XPro once upon a time.
Available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic & Olympus
THE EASY CHOICE
Not sure which controller to get? The XPro is the best option for the majority of users. The large, upward-tilted display makes managing your flash groups easy, particularly if you ever work from a tripod. If you need a pass-through hotshoe, go for the X2T-C instead.

TCM FUNCTION
When using TTL speedlites or strobes, you can quickly take a shot in TTL mode and convert the power used in TTL to a manual power setting with the push of a button. This feature presents a great alternative to a dedicated light meter.
Great tutorial thanks a lot. I watched it a couple of times. The presentation is humble, unhurried and clear.
I watched this video before and loved it! I needed it again and forgot which video it was, so I had to watch several to finally get to this one again. Yours is by FAR the best. Thank you!
Excellent clear and unhurried review.I wish more were like this. Thank you!
Kudos! He did a great job explaining functions and also noted advanced functions most of us will never use. Great job!
Xpro made easy. The best so far I have seen. Thanks a lot.
Tutorial was awesome, very simple, well explained, didn't get side tracked, but most important. It was very easy to follow you and simple, thank you!!
How is this video the ONLY one like it out here on yt, yet it's so underrated. 23+K views and only 354 likes...
Thank you for your time making this tutorial / walkthrough, it's a tough system to set up but you made it that much easier!
Seriously eh?
good video, but one other use for the sync function is to allow a leaf shutter lens to trigger the flash, like on a Hasselblad, Rolleiflex TLR, large format camera,or even as a trigger in say a bird hide, an optical 'detector' to fire the shot, without you being at the camera.
Thank you! I've watched a few and this video successfully got me to pair and shoot. Thanks!
As a Sony Interior Design Photographer, I get the White Balance problem quite often. So being able to use the new hot shoe trick and only send the firing signal is ideal for me, as third party adapters would constantly fail on me. Very helpful video. I just received mine from you guys and it's great!
Also, the double click turning off the strobe is an incredible useful new feature.
Thank you for very clear instructions. All of my questions answered. I am new to flash and have spent days trying to understand the manual.
I saw many videos but this one was really good. made very very easy covered all settings very clearly. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time.
Really helpful, clear, concise and the information I needed. Thank you!
this person deserve subscribe for explaining this very well
You can control modelling lights separately for each group: press MOD to swich on all the modelling lights, choose a specific group (by pressing A,B,C... buttons) and then press MOD -- it'll switch off only the lights of that group.
Clear and very professional, thank you!
I love this controller. You can fine tune each flash beautifully.
Great video with tons of great info. Love the description part as well. Bravo and thank you.
Excellent video. I wish I would have watched yours first. Well laid out and useful!! Thanks
Excellent review.. The interface on this unit is relatively simple and straight forward, unlike the Godox X1T. However, I learned a good bit from the video.
At last, a clear and helpful info tutor> the original paper manual sucks :-)
mine just arrived today, and this is exactly what I was looking for, big thank you man, amazing video, thanks
Excellent tutorial, clear and easy to follow, well done
Ive been wondering what that second switch is forever! Lol. Thank you
Bit late I know but I just came across this vlog. I have the goddox XPRO system for Fuji xt2 and works like a treat off camera flash
I also discovered that the Fuji goddox system was also works on my d800e controlling two small goddox flashes in manual mode no ttl which is what I prefer anyway just thought it strange how although branded for Fuji it seems to work for Nikon as well but no complaints great system
pretty good teaching, I have the Godox XProS TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for sony with 4 860 series strobes and sometimes can't get them to work like tyring to photography night blooming cereus last night which means I didn't get the shot when they basically only bloom for one night and close up at dawn forever. Will try again tonight since they bloom in groups. Gotta be able to just turn on and go which I have not achieved yet. Also, training is rather spotty with this system.
Make sure you have the trigger in close range mode. Access it in the custom menu. Maybe you're getting some interference by being too close to the flashes.
Strobepro Studio Lighting naw, just have to watch all the signs on the various screens and be sure I'm in the right mode. The tip on the ranges was very handy and your your videos nice and thorough but whatever you say this is not the simplest strobe system in the world.
Thanks for the video. The Xpro is simple enough to figure out if one used it for 15min but there were setting I needed clarification about. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for this informative video. Now I can safely explore.
This was EXACTLY what I needed! Thank you so much!
2 issues I’ve had, learned the hard way. 1) My Fuji cannot be in Electronic Shutter. Mechanical shutter only. 2)Will not go into HSS if camera flash is on first or second curtain sync. Must be in Auto. Hope this helps someone. Also my Xpro trigger doesn’t have SYNC appearing on its LCD. But the second button over does turn HSS on even though it’s blank.
Awesome Job! I was so confused when I got this thing. Thank you so much!
Excellent delivery !!! quite easy to understand
What a lovely guy. Thanks for your help.
Great vid. Got two SKII 300’s will be getting one soon.
Hello.
Your Xpro shows a ZOOM setting of 135mm while the flash display shows 24mm.
You forgot to set your flash ZOOM to AUTO. When the flash ZOOM is set on MANUAL (as you can clearly read on the flash display), Xpro cannot control the ZOOM flash setting as indicated in the GODOX Xpro instructions page 39 (ZOOM value setting).
Thank you so much. You made it really easy to set it up!
Great job! Thank you!!!
Great! I bought two TT685 and combined it with X Pro. It does not work. NOW it DOES !!
Thank you so much best video I have seen on this controller!!!!
Very good walk trough. all my question answered.
If you do not need TTL just get XT 16 (no ttl and no zoom) and I think no HSC
B, C, D, E are only in theory. Show this how to connect at least 2 flashes? And so that they work together.
thx for this, very helpful
How to use two or more flashes. My trigger (X-Pro) connects only one flash (Godox) V1 with V860 II the other does not connect. Who can show how to do this? When I connect another flash in group "B", the current flash in group "A" turns off for some reason.
Just got mine. Great video thanks!
This is simple and informative. Thanks
Nice and clear, thank you! When using the PC/Sync port to attach a film camera should the setting me IN or OUT?
Can you make a video on how to make different roofs in adjust flash settings for different flashes in different scenarios. For instance, say you have a 3 light setup and you want your key light to be setting Axe and then you want your room light to be setting why and then you want your back like to be settings e. Could you make a video showing us how to do so?
Is there a tutorial that uses the V860II flash?
AWESOME CANT WAIT TO USE MINE
Agree with the comment below. Best Xpro tutorial I’ve seen. A question, I’ve noticed this on Mine and in Your video. When You change the zoom and the sync on the Xpro, the flash menu doesn’t change. Does the XPro trigger override the readings on the flash?
Also, btw, Do You have a tutorial for the flash?
Hi Billy, The XT Pro trigger will always override any local adjustments made on the flash itself. If you're using one of the X series lights then you would see the changes. Depending on the model of OEM speedlite, you won't always see the XT Pro changes on the back of the speedlite display.
everything seems to be working EXCEPT it isn't working with my Sony A6600. Help!
I have two, firmware 1.0 and firmware 1.8. At some point Min became Step.
How to activate the AF assist beam from the Xpro? I have switched it on but still not firing.
Great video...thanks for creating and sharing. Can I have a few Yongnuo flashes that are Canon-compatible. Can I use a Godox X1R-C receiver for Canon and the XProS trigger for Sony on my Sony camera and everything will work?
Right now theres no option to fire a group without first disabling other groups.
I think it would be a definite plus to be able to select a group, hit the test button and fire only those flashes in the group without having to go to each other group first and disable.
To fire all groups would then be a simple select all and hit test button.... no?
Would really like to see a firmware upgrade addressing this issue... tnx.
thanks for your explanation
Great video. Thanks. 😀😀
Sir please tell godox trigger for photopro strobe lights.. studio strobe lights
A great trigger, easy to use and definitely an improvement over the old one, however I find the control for the mod lamps too clunky, counter-intuitive and confusing.
I have four strobes each assigned its own group. Displaying all the groups I can turn off or on all mods together. I select a group and turn it off, lamp goes out ok as expected.
I press set button to clear my group selection. The LCD would show an icon at top to indicate mod lights on and an icon next to each group that is currently turned on. I have one turned off, no icon next to that group, good.
I press mod button to turn off all lights, all lights currently on go out, good.
I press mod button again to turn on lights and ALL mods come on... ?? Facepalm. DUH !!
Expected behavior is that only those groups with icon on should be turned on and those previously turned off would stay off.
I would think a firmware upgrade could fix this over-sight / anomaly.
I would also like to see a firmware update where I can select a group and turn the mod light off or on without all coming on /off.
Also an update where I can adjust the power of the each mod lamp using the dial wheel when selected... this would be if the strobe was NOT set to prop.
Also I find the LCD is also tilted too far forward for use on a tripod at head height....maybe just me??.
Thanxs for the video, is there any way to tell the controller that I would like to increment in full stops? So power up and down by one stop eachfilm GmbH time I press the trigger?
can't get it to work with the sb900 nikon. tip anyone? Al set to same channel and group and nikon flash is set to remote
Great explanation
I find that the min/steps setting in the menu screen needs attending to... on my trigger I have the option to set to either 128 or 256 and in steps of 1/10..... theres strobes that only go down to 1/16 power and no way to tell the trigger to stop at 1/16.
My thinking is we should be able to set the limit of each strobe and not be a global setting.
Also, if theres one strobe that is set to 1/1 power while others are set to maybe 1/2 then selecting the "all" option to raise the power of the remaining strobes does not work because the one set to 1-1 has reached its limit.
Similarly, using the "all" feature and adjusting power downwards - if one strobe has reached the lowest limit set in the menu then no others will be adjusted downwards.
Expected behavior is that all strobes not reaching 1-1 power or the min limit should be allowed to adjust until ALL strobes reach the limit whether upper or lower... a firmware update should be able to handle this.
Very clearly explained! Could you tell the differences between this controller, and the MKII? Is the new one any better?
We just released a new video showing the new features on the X2T. czcams.com/video/d_m5RR2mJQI/video.html
I am using Fujifilm X-T2 with Fujifilm EF-X500 flash. Question Can Godox XPro or Godox X2T triggers Fujifilm EF-X500 off camera or any non Godox speedlites off camera?
Unfortunately not. These controllers are only compatible with Godox flashes. There are flash receivers that can bring Canon, Nikon, or Sony flashes on board with the system, but there is currently no Fuji receiver available.
The focus assist button on the side of the trigger does not work on a Sony a7iii, zoom function does not work either :-(
Thank u 😍from India ☺️
Saved my life. Thanks yeah
I bought this trigger Godox XPro-C for my Canon 5D Mark III, my speedlite Canon 430EX II but I can't get it work wirelessly. Is there anything I am doing wrong? Please kindly help.
Do you have the 430 on a Godox receiver? It won't work on Canon OEM flashes without the receiver.
The sync function on my X ProF for Fuji is greyed out and I understand to access HSS I have to press this function. How can I restore it.
it doesn't work with my canon 430ex II .. is it my flash ? or the trigger isn't compatible with the flash ?
Thanks for the video !!
Are you using the X1R-C receiver? The controller will not take control of OEM flashes without a receiver. However you don't need the receiver for any Godox flashes.
Can i use that with my Canon Speedlites 43o II AND III ALONG WITH GODOX TT685C FOR OFF CAMERA FLASH?
Has anyone had a problem with the synch button on the Xpro trigger. The button to turn on the HSS is empty. How to solve the problem. It is XproF.
The Fuji version of this controller does not have the sync options. First/second curtain and HSS are managed inside the camera only. If you have "FP" enabled, in your flash function menu, you should see the HSS symbol active on the top right of the controller's display. If you exceed your flash sync speed, your flashes will automatically switch to HSS. If you are below your flash sync speed, your flashes will fire in 1st curtain sync.
@@Strobepro Thank you for your response. The problem is that I'm currently using the trigger on a Nikon D3s camera in manual mode and I have all the functions except for TTL, which I've never used, and I also use the V1f, which normally works together with the trigger on Nikon as well.
@@igormarkovic9573 Unfortunately, HSS requires full hotshoe communication from these controllers as well. You would have to go to one of Godox's Nikon models.
The TTL funtion of the (x1t/x2t/Xpro) can control the TT600 (Manual Flash)?
Is this Normal Godox X pro (c)? Or Is it from your website exclusive?
Which is the cheap and best remote Trigger to connect Canon 5D III with Canon flashes
600ex rt ii
580 ex ii
430 ex ii
If I can trigger 600ex rt ii , I can use other two as slave as well.
Will the XproN and X1RN work with the Nikon SB 600 and 700 flash guns
Thanks so much for the Video, very appreciated. Got a question:
I’m using a 200ADPro & XproC. I’m often off camera, remotely hand holding 200ADPro & remote triggering the camera -using a remote-, however I’ve found the XproC will override any setting I have on the 200ADPro. Is there anyway to stop this so the Xpro will simply trigger the flash & not override it’s settings? (Currently the only workaround I’ve found is to put the Xpro in APP mode (and not use the app) - but this seems a bit backwards? Is there a better or proper way to do this?)
Thanks heaps.
You are correct in using APP mode. This is the only way for controller not to override the AD200 settings.
Hi. Please, can XPro control a AD200 as continuous light while it uses Godox ad-L 60 LED? Thanks
Thank you for the clear well versed explanation. I am using this trigger to gether with XTR16 mounted to a Godox ES600p strobe, although the strobe triggers, the power levels in the strobe do not correspond to thise set in the trigger. Am I doing something wrong? or this is the level of functionality for the XTR16 reciever with this strobe? thanks!
Since that strobe is an older model you would need the XTM transmitter to work with the XTR16. This transmitter can change the scale from 1-5, 5-8 and 1/128-1/1.
Hi , thank you for your information, its very helpful. I just buy the XPRO today. I have Canon 600exrt , so when I tried to lingking the xpro m to my speedlite canon 600EXRT is not working. What I have to do to linking it together. Hope you could help me . Thank you
The controller will not link directly to an OEM Canon flash. You would need the XRC receiver on your Canon Speedlite. You can find the receiver here. strobepro.com/products/strobepro-xrc-radio-receiver-canon
Thanks
Which APP should i use for APP MODE shoot?
Muchas gracias! me es muy útil
Great tutorial ...... when you used TTL SETTING how you use the camera settings? Thanks
Hi Eddie,
With TTL, you can use your camera in any setting. However, I would generally suggest shooting in manual, and ensuring your flash is below your flash sync speed to get the most consistent experience (that way only the flash power is automated).
Strobepro Studio Lighting thanks
Does this radio controller work with most speed flashes I have a neewer NW 565 flash?
I came here because i couldn't figure out why the trigger would not control the zoom function of the flash. In the video, as he was changing the zoom value, in the display of the flash, the zoom number were not changing either.
I would appreciate if anyone can help on this matter.
Thanks!
I experienced the same issue. I found that if I put the flash into auto zoom and changed the zoom level on the trigger I could hear the zoom working. (Had to put the flash up to my ear.) But if the flash is in a manual zoom mode the trigger does not change the zoom on the flash. And as you observed, the display on the flash does not change and thus does not reflect the changed zoom level. I am just assuming the zoom on the flash is changing because I hear it.
how to connect to Nikon speedlight sb-900 ?
Many thanks.
Does the xro Sony communicate with Sony HVL-60RM and TT685S?
hi because i don' t see the function sync below display?
Hi Frencesco. If you don't see the sync function, it's likely because you have an active group selected. If you hit the Set button, you should return to the master screen that displays (from left to right) Zoom/CH, Sync, All, and MOD.
Does the Xpro works with the Neewer NW600? Is the same model as the Godox AD600.
Can you do a video on how to use the trigger with Nikon flashes ( SB 910)
justray65 I’ve a same question does it work with sb 919 or not?
thanks for the upload, where do you find the firmware in the menu please?
Good Job!!!
is it possible to set group ratios . i.e setting key light (A Group)and fill light(B Group) ratio. essentially I want to set the power of main key light (A Group) to 1/1 and lock it down set the ratio to 1:2. i want the fill light(B Group) to be automatically be set to 1/2. And if I update the Key light to 1/4 then I want fill light power to be 1/8
You can use group ratios on the X60 speedlites in Master mode for Canon but not with the XT Radio Controllers. The ratio settings will be limited to Canon's standard ratios.
I have a Godox AD360ii TTL flash for Canon... Can I trigger the flash in manual mode and with HSS using the XT Pro (Sony) trigger,
Yes, as long as you have the latest firmware on your 360ii.
Using this with my new AD400 but when I go to ETTL or put in an exposure offset in either mode it doesn't display on my AD400. The AD400 shows TTL and 0 for exposure offset. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
Hi Brian,
The exposure compensation on the strobes and the controller are designed to be independant and will not display on the strobe screen when adjusting the controller. In essence you could dial +3 on the strobe and +1 on the controller for a total of +4. The adjustments are cumulative. If you leave the strobe at 0 and just adjust from the controller you will have -3 to +3 but it just won't show on the strobe screen.
@@Strobepro Thanks for explaining this!
Is there a way to identify the current firmware on the XProN ?
Hi Kevin, Thanks for sharing the info. I'm new to Godox. In the mail my Godox V350 (Sony A7 III body) + XPro-S Transmitter. The quesstion is, should I have 2 V350 heads am I able to set different power settings on the heads from the camera trigger transmitter. What is the total number of heads the transmitter can handle? Thank you.
Yes you can control up to 5 groups independently with as many lashes per group as you want..
