    A WORTHY SUCCESSOR
    A great flash just got better! The Godox AD200 Pro TTL builds upon the hugely popular Strobepro X200 (Godox AD200), providing faster recycle times, 9 stops of power control (1/1 - 1/256) in 1/3 or 1/10 steps, an improved display, and a colour stability mode which reduces the maximum colour variance to +/-100K.
    THE STROBEPRO DIFFERENCE
    Godox flashes purchased at Strobepro come with our two year in house warranty. Strobepro is the largest distributor of Godox products in Canada. Give yourself peace of mind with Strobepro's helpful staff, 2 year warranty, and Calgary based service centre.
    FITS ALL ACCESSORIES
    All the accessories and batteries for both the Godox AD200/Strobepro X200 and AD200 Pro fit all models.
    AUTOMATIC TTL FOR CANON, NIKON, SONY, FUJI, PANASONIC, OLYMPUS
    Tired of adjusting settings in tough lighting conditions? Then let the AD200 Pro do it automatically for you. Set it to TTL mode and fire away with perfect exposures in any lighting condition. Weddings, party's, or outdoors, TTL is a lifesaver.
    BATTERY POWERED
    The advanced lithium battery made by Panasonic gives enough power for all day shooting. The AD200 Pro will give you 500 full power shots. Who shoots at full power all day? Real life mixed shooting is close to 900 shots per charge.
    STROBEPRO X SERIES WIRELESS
    One controller to rule them all. With it's built in receiver all you need is the Strobepro XT Controller for full TTL & HSS remote power control up to 330 feet away. In addition, the XT controller will control any Strobepro X60 Speedlites (manual or TTL) X360 TTL, XPRO and X600ii strobes.
    2 YEAR STROBEPRO WARRANTY
    Ever had a problem with something you've bought online from Ebay, Amazon or from some guy selling from their basement? Good luck getting that fixed. We're a Canadian company with a Canadian warranty, right here in Calgary. Your AD200 Pro is backed by our Strobepro 2 year warranty. Plus, most orders shipped same day will be in your hands within 5 days anywhere across the country. All backed by our full support team.
    9 STOP POWER RANGE
    Dialling down all the way to 1/256 power allows you to shoot wide open with even your fastest glass. From babies to fast action outdoor sports, you're covered.
    HSS (HIGH SPEED SYNC)
    Finally HSS is built right into the strobe. No more receivers necessary. Pick up the Strobepro XT transmitter for Canon, Nikon or Sony and you've got the ultimate setup.
    GROUPS GALORE
    You've got 5 groups and 32 channels of wireless bliss. Easily control power across all your X Series strobes and speedlites.
    WIRELESS FREEDOM
    No power wires, no receiver wires, gone, outta here. Experience the freedom that shooting with no wires creates. Seriously, it will change the way you shoot forever.
    ACCURATE
    The AD200 Pro is dead accurate across the entire power range. Stable power output, accurate colour temperature, professional results.
    LED MODELLING LAMP
    The LED modelling lamp helps find focus when using the fresnel head.
    FITS ALL MODIFIERS
    The AD200 Pro fits all Strobepro and Bowens modifiers when used with the Strobepro bracket.
    EASY UPGRADE
    The USB-C port makes firmware upgrades easy. When we release a new update, you're covered.

    man, you cannot imagine how much time I've lost looking for a video that explained why my AD200 pro kept beeping out of nowhere and why it wouldn't auto dump the charge when I lowered the power! I'm very happy to know it's because of the color stability mode.
    Thank you so much for providing an actual in depth review of this flash that mentions important and more features and specificities and other people don't cover in their reviews!

    The PC terminal is an important backup. I use the radio transceiver of course but things happen. So having a PC cable ready just in case is super important. I hope Godox keeps building them this way in their future strobes.

    good video, but what you were talking about with the 'multi' mode, is simmilar to Nikon's repeating mode, it is used for strobascopic flash, ie: more than one flash per shutter exposure, say flurecent lights, to maintain WB in the shot, without interference from other lights, or to stop the motion of a machine ( lathe spinning metal, train wheels, ferris wheel, etc). much better to describe it this way, more clear understanding, as the traditional definition of "multi" is in multi-exposure mode, in film cameras to shoot two or more shots on the same frame of film, this is the first thing to mind when the word multi is used!!

    Just FYI: You talk about at the 9 minute mark about checking your firmware just to make sure you have the latest version, but nothing in this video, nor at the Godox website that I could find, nor anything in the "manual" tells you how to find the current version (very frustrating). I had to do a deep dive into the net and some forums to find the answer. For those reading this who would like to know: Step 1. TURN THE FLASH UNIT OFF! (yes, OFF). 2. Hold the MODE button down. 3. WHILE holding the MODE BUTTON DOWN, TURN the AD200 PRO on. The CURRENT FIRMWARE VERSION should appear near the center of the screen. I have to say, I don't get it - hidden both in the literature, and hidden from expected ways of viewing it on the device, the reasons for this are just baffling. A few other words of caution: My latest purchase came with V1.5 (also listed on the Godox site as the most current). If you have to update, as of the date on this comment, you now must use the G3 UPDATE LAUNCHER (check at the time you are updating). Also make sure your version of G3 is for your OS (i.e. Mac/Windows). Lastly, check the Godox website for what the update contains (and if you really need it). If not, and your flash works fine, you might think to bypass any potential subsequent problems or bugs with the new firmware version, and just keep using what you have until a firmware update speaks to your needs.

    Thanks so much for the Vid, very appreciated. Got a question for ya:
    I’m using a 200ADPro & XproC. I’m often off camera, remotely hand holding 200ADPro & remote triggering the camera -using a remote-, however I’ve found the XproC will override any setting I have on the 200ADPro. Is there anyway to stop this so the Xpro will simply trigger the flash & not override it’s settings? (Currently the only workaround I’ve found is to put the Xpro in APP mode (and not use the app) - but this seems a bit backwards? Is there a better or proper way to do this?)
    Thanks heaps.

    Hello. Did your flash work quietly? Every 5 seconds I have such a micro-click inside the case on ad200pro. Barely audible. I found a similar problem on CZcams, where the guy was told by the godox representative that this is how capacitors are refilled in some models and that this is completely normal. For the author of the video with the problem, the flash has been working for 3 years now and nothing. How would it be okay if so, but the sale may be difficult.

      Rear curtain sync is entirely camera dependent, with exception to Canon where it can be set either through the internal menu or via the sync button on your controller. The AD200 heads do not zoom (the fresnel head is a fixed 35mm).

But you can go over 135 value... So... I don't want to try because I think is a good way for burn all... But someone more crazy than me can try 😂

    Does Yongnuo YN200 light support yn e3 rt trigger?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety

      Hi Siddheswari,
      We're not familiar with the Yongnuo product. From my limited search on the subject, it appears to be compatible with the YN560-TX II, RF603 and RF605 only.
      Be careful with the YN200. Reviews seem to suggest that it has some reliability issues. You know the old adage: buy cheap, buy twice. The Godox AD200 Pro is still at a relatively good price point, but it has been well tested in the field at this point.

      Hi Daniel,
      There are some little LED strips in the fresnel head that are meant to act as a modelling lamp, but I think you'd be disappointed with them! The AD200 Pro was really designed to be a flash only.

    How does the .1 adjustments sync with the 1/3 of triggers?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Joey,
      The newest controllers (XPro and X2T) can be set to use the 0.1 stop adjustments. The controller always overrides what you have set on the flash. If you have an X1T, which only does 1/3 stop adjustments, you can enable the "APP" mode from the custom function menu. This will make your controller into a dummy trigger that simply triggers everything on the channel (meaning it won't override what you have set on the strobe). If you prefer to adjust your lights this way, the APP mode is available on the XPro and X2T as well.

    How do you trigger stroboscopic mode remotely with a x1t? Also, it is not possible to set 1/256 in manual mode and 0.1 intervals, right?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety

      Hi Carlos,
      On the X1T, you'll have to enable the multi mode from the custom functions menu. Long-press the channel button to access the menu, and find the function with three lightning bolts (it was function 04 on my X1T-N). Hit Gr to change this function, move the scroll wheel, and hit Gr again once it is set to "On".
      Now your groups will work a little differently. The mode button will just turn the group on or off. Your multi settings need to be controlled from the back of the strobe. You should be able to set your strobe to 1/256 and 10 Hz, assuming it's an AD200 Pro and not the original AD200 (which had a minimum power of 1/128).

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Jody,
      The barndoors are tricky to remove, but at least you don't have to worry about them falling off. Try to peel one side of the barndoors off the head rather than pulling directly outward. Adding a bit of a twisting motion also seems to help.
      As for the head, with the release switch engaged, it is removed perpendicular to the body (see 6:02)

    The color of the fresnel head is such a different color temperature compared to to the barebulb and round heads. Unacceptable in my opinion for not color matching all the AD200/pro heads.

      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety

      Hi Dave,
      If you've disabled driver signature enforcement, that was the typical workaround for the issue you're describing. However, we're receiving some reports of Godox's software not functioning on later builds of Windows 10 and 11. We hope we'll know more about the issue soon, and that Godox will have a fix for us. In the meantime, perhaps you know of an old computer somewhere that wouldn't have had an opportunity to run a Windows update in the past few months.
      If you are in Canada, you could send your flashes and controller to us, and we can update the firmware for you as a free service. If you are outside of Canada, we still might be able to help you, but there would be some customs paperwork involved. Please feel free to get in touch with us at hello@strobepro.com if you are interested.
