      @@brettharrisphotography7463 We kind of like the S2 bracket option. Although it's something extra to carry, the S2 bracket can be stored in the bag with your modifier without much worry. The strobe then stores down as small as possible in your main bag with the expensive stuff (cameras, lenes, other lights, etc). The S2 Bracket also has a much larger friction disc than the mount that comes with the light, so I'd imagine it would do a better job of holding heavy modifiers over time. Just our $0.02! :)

      Not specifically; however, the Godox flash app allows you to control your flashes via a Bluetooth signal to the controller. The X2T and XProII are compatible.
      Alternatively, you could use a second controller in your hand. On the controller mounted on your camera, find the SHOOT menu option and select APP (X2T, XPro) or L-858 (XProII). Let me count the ways this went wrong. A cover with a hole in it that begs to be used to restrict light, but the cover melts if you use it. (I'm sure it's there to allow cooling when done shooting....but?) A proprietary mount that doesn't work with standard speedrings. But it has an adapter that you have to be careful with or it will break. When the adapter assembly is complete, the light looks as though it's too large to put back in it's case. That means that I have to assemble/disassemble for each use if I'm mobile? And, if I'm picky, the battery in the light looks like it's not a real part of the light as the finish is matte and the light is glossed. I'm only 12:29 into this and I'm done.

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Rick,
      The vented hole in the front is standard on most protective covers for the reason you mentioned. There is actually a big warning note etched onto the front cover, but we thought this was something that couldn't be overstated, so we mentioned it in our video. As for the various screw-on adapters, we agree that it's not necessarily ideal, and that's why we at the shop here tend to lean towards the S2 bracket instead. The bracket can remain in the bag with your modifier while the light is completely unencumbered in your main bag with your cameras and other flashes. That said, we are looking into Godox mount speedrings that will fit on our modifiers so our customers will have that option. In North America particularly, the Godox mount is the new kid on the block, and there are now only two readily available strobes that have that mount. Godox makes some of their strobes (like the AD600) in both Godox mount and Bowens mount, and the Bowens variant pretty much dominates the market.

      Depend where you buying it from....at least in China, AD300Pro is not much more expensive than a AD200/pro(old AD200 and new AD200pro is only 30$ difference in China, and AD300pro is only 130$ more than AD200pro)
