At the MoPOP in Seattle they also have some of the Ghostbusters proton pack props. However they only had the light, wide-shot versions which were mostly build out of styrofoam or something. :D

Hey Phelous, if you're up for reviewing any episodes of TV shows that rip off Ghostbusters, I'd like to recommend an episode of Sabrina: The Animated Series entitled "Most Dangerous Witch." It's about a witch-hunter who uses Ghostbuster rip-off gadgets, even down to the jumpsuit with a red cross through a cauldron instead of a ghost, he's even got an Ecto 1-type car.

For those of you looking to actually purchase a Bob’s prop shop proton pack unfortunately you can’t anymore Bob’s prop shop was blacklisted by the GB fans community and his site taken down it turns out that the shells he uses are not molded from one of the original packs and he also lied about other elements and authentications about the pack still looks good but would not recommend trying to find this seller.

Lol, his packs were anything but accurate or well-made. Most of his resin parts were recast (stolen) from other artists.There's a reason he's banned from most every large prop group. Sorry to say, you got ripped off.

Shame you went with Bob for a proton pack. He's been blacklisted within the GB community for recasting other peoples work. I would never pay that money he wants either knowing he's a recaster.
I doubt Phelous knows. I knew about the video Bob packs for years, before I knew anything about Bob Mosley or the awesome GBfans site.

I dont trust Bobs Prop Shop.. in the GB community ive heard too many horror stories, even from my friends who've bought kits or fully built packs.. that would fall apart and not made with good quality. And theres alot of amazing Proton Pack Builders out their.
And now that Hasbro made the Spengler Pack as a Haslab project im jus waiting for mine to come in so I can get to work on the overhaul.

I 3d printed a pack and made it a subwoof for mine Matty wond. A lot what they did sound like what I did. I even made the knob on the gear box a volume control.

Well, the timing of this video is very appropriate considering it was just teased Hasbro will be making a proton pack replica.
4:15 actually, the spirit ones may be nice for convenience. But hasbro did reveal that they’re going to make a haslabs proton pack build. (More details on october 27 2021.) it has been rumoured to be less than $1000, but it’s probably gonna require a wand of your own, the matty wand, or the spengler wand. (Unless there’s a stretch goal like “comes with wand that connects to pack.” Or something like that.)
But aside from that, good video.
That looks so cool! I once met a guy who built a proton pack from scratch, he said it cost just over 10 grand for the whole thing including the lightning/internal electronics

@@phelous it was damn impressive, he had connections with mechanics who had professional tools to craft all the parts. he told us a story about how he got pulled over by a police officer because they saw the proton pack wires in the back of his car and thought it might be a bomb. The story ended with two police officers posing for photos on the side of the road wearing the proton pack
10 grand isn't too bad. He could easily make that money back by catching two focused, non-terminal, repeating phantasms, or class-five full roaming vapors.
