Recently I saw a subjective top 5 scottish players list. I don't know much about scottish football. However I have heard of some of the most famous since mid 70's. I may have heard about Jim Leighton. As a Nordic following especially LFC and int. euro football, it is hard to learn names and bio for most players. I may miss out some obvious candidates. I'll give it a try out of my poor knowledge. There may be better players but as long as I can set up XI, that's good enough for me.

Yes, there were much fewer games in the past which was why it was a rare occurrence for someone to get 100 caps but now it is much more commonplace. Tournaments were smaller and fewer countries competed in the qualifying phases.
