No Paul McGrath is laughable, after Brady he's probably the greatest ROI player of all time. Robbie Keane has surely had the greatest impact at international level of any player north or south, so his exclusion from the list is also questionable.

Robbie Keane was a fantastic steward of the game but he was never World Class. Duff before all the injuries was much better.

The man who has had the biggest impact at international level is left off the list. The goal king who set up nearly as many, technically gifted and a quality dribbler. A record that probably won't ever be equalled and qualification for the World Cup and Euros would not have happened without him - Robbie Keane. He also would have drove through the desert to play for his country.
Paul McGrath stands alongside George Best and Roy Keane. A major omission.

Yes, and he then came out of retirement for the World Cup but wasn't selected by Charlton.
McGrath missed out because we think Giles ranks slightly above him, that's all.

How the hell could you leave out Paul McGrath?? Id replace Giles or Irwin for McGrath. Otherwise this list is latently obvious.
I don't know if you were around for Giles's day but he was no doubt the best passer of the ball in England. Matt Busby regretted letting him go from United all throughout the remainder his manger career. Also voted FAI's greatest Irish player of all time.

@@conorl1894 Irwin was fantastic and also very reliable. Always consistent and rarely injured. But McGrath was pure, sheer class. Irwin was 100 times better pro than McGrath but Paul had complete, natural ability. The guy turned up drunk with not much sleep to many games and he still put in man of the match performances.
Now think about the career McGrath couldve had, if he applied himself fully.

Cut his teeth at man u's academy then over 9 yrs as a prem league 'regular' at old trafford, with a few loans to sunderland & antwerp inbetween. Then 3yrs under Tony Pulis at west brom and not to forget a gallant cog in the foxes defence since 2018 under Brendan Rogers' redemption to leicester city. In the end he's a defensive rock for club and country and maybz a few spots higher than it should, but i guess there were scant few defenders in the the full 16 list..
