- We asked Scotland fans for their opinion on who should be in the Top 50 Greatest Scotland Internationals of All Time and after over 36,000 player votes this was the top 50.
The vote wasn't solely based on ability, skill or caps. These are the fan favourites and players recognised by the fans for their international efforts. The players that meant the most to Scotland fans.
Qualifying players for the vote had to have 20 caps or more for their country.

Surprised not to see Danny mc grain in the top 10 all time all time great Scotland players,, he was world class in his day,, but yes definitely king Kenny Dalglish, deserve his spot at number one,, absolute genuis! Without doubt, one of the world class players ever,,
The list may not agree with all. But every one of them were Scottish warriors. Bless them all

The top 2 are about the only ones in order I agree with
best two strikers were law and dalgliesh, best two midfielders were souness and bremner, best two defenders was miller and mcgrain, best wingers were johnstone and right midfielder strachan. best goalies were leighton and goram.

Why is Andy Robertson in this list??
Where is John Campbell? He was four times English Football League top scorer between 1891 and 1896, three times individually in 1891-92, 1892-93, 1894-95 and shared in 1895-96. With 145 goals scored in first tier English football I think only Denis Law and Kenny Dalglish are ahead of him and he scored more goals against the English than any other Scottish player in the 19th century.
As usual it's voted for by younger people, especially as it's online, so no point getting angry or upset over the order as it's a meaningless time filler for people. It's not definitive & certainly doesn't mean that a legitimate football legend like Dave Mackay is a worse player than Jennifer Beattie or Gemma Fay etc. Law & Dalglish are the top 2 as they deserve to be, that's all i'm bothered about. Chill out!!

I have no real problem with the Women playing football but purely for the purpose of this list I think I would have had a separate list for ladies.

It would be interesting if there was a vote on the best playing eleven, formation how it would relate to this vote.

The only way we will see a great Scotland team again, is if we boycott international games as we need a complete overhaul from top to bottom.

What a dreadful list.
Sigh....it’s like the BBC have compiled it.....surprised Anya isn’t in there to add a black player to the list for equality reasons.....McFadden was a good pro and gave us joy, but to have him number 3??? There isn’t a player past 1986 in a Scotland jersey who is better in any position than we had before.....
