Man, that guitar is starting to look amazing, brother! Can't wait to see the body carves and finish.
Many tanks BK. I'm looking forward to it for sure.
I think this is shaping up to be my fave yet Bill, nice work buddy!👍
Thanks Gio.
Looking great Bill! Looks like Crimson is making decent templates.
Thank you. Yes, the Crimson templates are pretty good.
gotta love it once you get all that routing done.
btw, i shredded the end of my right index finger about a year ago using my router sled.
i had my hand on the headstock as i finished the end and bam!
i figured out a safer way to do it. the finger tip healed up nicely. i threw s masking tape band aid on it making sure the shred were in order and most of them reattached the rest came off and still healed.i consider myself stupid for doing it and really luck i did not lose a finger
Ouch! Hope it all healed well. The router is the one tool in the shop that can cause some major injury if not handled correctly.
Nice progress Mr. Bill.I like how you did the routes before any body carving. I know you know what you are doing but since I am dealing with this issue on that Paul I am doing atm... Be wary how close you do your body carve to the pickup cavities. Be sure to leave room to mount the rings where they sit on the flat section. I am currently in the process filing and fitting the rings to my build because the carves were too close to the pickup holes. Also.. the more I have played those pick ups the more I am loving them. Can't wait to hear the second set and compare the differences.
Good point to remember. I came close near the front PU but I think I got clearance. If not I can always mount the PUs without using pickup rings.
