    Finally a deep review. It is hard to find for niche Third part parts.
    I need to ask how is it when it comes to brightness and visibility in the sun. I have an old Suzuki ignis 2 (2012). When my mom gave it to me i needed to change the stock radio and got a SONY XAVAX3005ANT. While it is much better than the audio cd stock one. It has some issues, the biggest is visibilità when the sun hits the display. It's rubbish and cannot see anything. Also, during the night, it doesn't dim and it's basically blinding.
    So i was taking a look around for something better that wouldn't cost more than the car itself

    Great unboxing and install videos. I just bought a 2020 XLT and I'm interested in upgrading. Did you lose any factory functionality? If so, what? Thanks for your time and effort.

      No, brand name radios lock down those features for liability issues. there are ways around it, but again, a few issues to work through. Send us a message on our facebook page and I can help.

    I purchased a vehicle that had this radio already installed. The main issue that I have with this radio is that it won’t automatically connect to my iPhone when I turn my car on. I have to put both the phone and radio into search mode to pair them up. It drives me insane.

    Do not buy any Pioneer products. I purchased a brand new AVH-W4500NEX Double Din Head Unit in May of 2020. By the beginning of August 2021, the head unit froze and went into a constant boot screen. Pioneer used the cheapest SD cards they could in these "top of the line" units, and after about a year (right past the 1 year manufacturers warranty) the SD card becomes corrupt rendering the head unit useless. You can either pay Pioneer almost $200 to fix it, or buy another unit. They will not help in any way. My head unit was almost $700, and lasted just over a year. The issue is widely known and Pioneer refuses to do anything about it besides charge you to fix their mistakes after purchasing a "top of the line" head unit. Multiple models are affected.

      @altoburger9692 Před 2 lety

      Whilst I'm sorry you had this issue, could it not be solved for future purchases of the unit by creating a few copies of the SD card they use as backups?

      @@jimlascola To be fair I don't think he's a troll. I think he's a genuinely upset customer who feels like he got the raw end of the deal with a company he'd given a lot of money to. It's happened to me and I'm sure it's happened to you. I'm actually thankful he did it because I've seen a number of customers mention that Pioneer have very little after-sales customer service and as a result of reading quite a lot of comments over multiple videos I decided to steer clear of Pioneer. I don't think that Pioneer necessarily make any more dodgy products than any other head unit company, but if you do get a dodgy head unit it's nice to know whether the company is going to help you or not.
      Kenwood didn't seem to have as many negative reviews and I've read their customer service is quite good and so I ended up going with one of their head units and couldn't be happier. I actually had a small issue with my head unit setting it up and messaged Kenwood over Facebook and I had a response from them with an answer in less than an hour. I knew when that happened I'd made the right decision going with Kenwood.
