Where do you think the two managers rank all times and which major trophies do you think each will still win?
Wait are you tifo football
@@saovisal9942 đ€Łđ€Ł
Is this South African
Oh ffs...The Athletic has followed me all the way from Tifo Football...
You're not aloneđ€Łđ€Ł
Same lol
đđđ The Athletic is inevitable.
đđđđ
Itâs everywhere
Statistically, for Mourinho to have been competing & winning at the highest level for as long as he did is wild! Pep's just seen a decade. I'd like to see how time naturalises him like Mou at Tottenham. Lest we forget, Respect! Respect! Respect!
Mourinho started first
Ironically, Mourinho said Respect x 3 when his Man United lost 3-0 to Spurs which he now manages lol
@@jordyj4126 Mourinho was a PE teacher that never played professional football. He really started at the bottom.
by 2014 Mourinho was finished for top level coaching jobs. Guardiola doesn't look like he's gonna stop
@@voroldrwarfff8858 It won't the way he keeps going to world classes teams that have the finances to back his ambitions.
Please make a video of a Jose Mourinho evolution (tactical) at different clubs! Thank you!
we love jose mourinho
Please make video on the difference between Gardiolas Barca Vs Bayern Vs City...
Yeah even I want to see that
Great thinking đ€â€ïž
THIS! I bet everyone would want to see this
nice
Messi vs no Messi
Champions League titles vs Champions League failure
The athletic are widening their influence. From rabona tv to tifo football and now football made simple
Can you imagine an alternate timeline where MOURINHO coaches MESSI ?
I may be wrong, but I think Ronaldo had his best goal scoring seasons under Mou, and Real did score the most number of goals in a single season under him as well. Would've been very cool to see what Jose could do with Messi
messi would have been deadly on counter attacks and score 100+ goals
@@reff9203 no he wont
â@@mohibullahshahid6741 yes ind he would
@@jacobmurphy423 Messi on counters is a passenger
I donât think Mourinho wouldâve gotten more out of Messi than Pep did. Pep made Messi absolutely deadly in that false 9 role. I think that was the best decision Messi made. I donât think Mourinho wouldâve made that decision. He wouldâve probably bought another striker and put Messi on the wings. Heâd still be phenomenal but never as deadly as he was under Pep. Especially since the style of mourinhoâs teams are so opposite to Barca
When they come face to face usually Mou always out smarts pep. Even with a weak Tottenham team he beat city.
What about 2010?
Jermaine ya when mourinho celebrated at the camp nou
@@deviousz9658 they got sent off cuz he told them to play rough
DeViouS z for nothing? Idiot
Shall we just not talk about all the times Pep has beaten Mou. Also it was a weak city as well, key players injured.
Here is something very random;
I was wondering why Arsenal U23's with so many seniors playing(especially in defence) was destroyed by City U23's. That was last night,I couldn't get any answers! So I woke up this morning, turned on my phone and went to sky sports news and one of the top articles"Sane returns for U23's....." So that's what happened........
These are the contents I pay my internet bill for. Great video keep them coming
I love how you ended thus vedio. A touch of class. Your work is amazing
Different between both of them is, Mourinho can make Burnley looks good, while Pep can't
And pep can turn any good team to perfect while Mou turn them into Burnley
@@danny90099 Pep cant win CL with Bayern while Mourinho won with Inter
@@davidchandra8722 mou couldn't win a ucl with real madrid... And got thrashed by pep week in week out
@@nobody9009 3 semifinals. Before he came, Madrid didnt pass 16 for 10 years or something. Would call it unlucky. Should be better if you compare it Pep Bayern/City.
Got trashed by Pep? Funny that Pep took a rest time after Mourinho won Laliga and broke records đ
@@davidchandra8722 don't tell me who finished tenth with chelsea.... Yea losing 5-0 against barca and not even winning by a 3 goal margin as a revenge against them is called thrashing
I was just watching the "Take the ball pass the ball the" documentary yesterday, huge coincidence
Leslie Kay what is that?
Wow!!!! Bro!!!! Super great videođđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸ
Well it lacks the part where Guardiola had a budget like no one else in the game to build the team that he wanted, no hold bars.
Mourinho didn't even got a good leading center back. That makes one hell of a difference.
Thanks for saying. That's what everyone seem to ignore.
Dont care how old this is but what? Mou spent hella money on Real madrid especially in the 2011-2012 season he spent over 200 million dollars lmao. Pep playere came thru La Masia so therefore he didnt need to spend as much money lol. Look it up Mou is still one of footballs biggest spenders ever since 2004.
Mourinho has spent the most money out of any coach in the 21st century, check your facts first before fabricating false facts.
Will be a good story for a movie... I hope someone make movie about this rivalry
Another incredible content....â€â€â€
great video, relly enjoyed it , :)
I really love your videos!
Your videos are interesting I really love it
One thing that I know about Jose if he really lands the players that he really wants thereâs no way you can beat him thatâs why he is so emotional and angry when his players they donât play the way he wants
damn,I remember that time Barca vs Real Madrid , I was 12 , it was the best time ever
As a Chelsea fan, I take pride in the fact the first stoking of the flames on this rivalry began while he was at Inter with a quick jab critiquing Barcelona's "legitimate" win against us in 2009.
When questioned about allegedly co-owning property with the Portuguese referee in the S/F match vs. Inter in 2010 :
"I don't know about that. Maybe Pep owns a restaurant in Oslo"
LMFAO.
cool to see you working with the Athletic! Be fan of you both!!
FMS,
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Guardiola and Mourinho are my favorite managers after Mr. van Gaal. For some reason, I got emotional because I hoped they could put their differences aside and become friends. I think their differences are based on nationality rather than personality.
Who's here after Tottenham beat Man Ciy
This is one of the best shrubs scripts ever, the ending touched me still even though im watching it for like the firth time
you can't be called the best when you cannot win without the best players. Pep last lifted the champions league when he had Messi and Co at his disposal, that is why we call Mourinho the Special one because he always works miracles out of nothing.
Mourinho also worked with the best
Lmao he worked with prime ronaldo and still can't win cl đđ
Ppl forget Mou won UCL with Porto n Inter. Inter was a fine team but compared to the other big guns of Europe that's something special.
@@jordyj4126 Tell that to Porto who hé won ucl with
I'm Portuguese so I will always be biased towards Mourinho, but you can't just chuck a bunch of players on a field and expect them to win it for you. Pep is still one of the best of the last decade.

Men I love this channel
Keep it simple đ
Well, after the role of DM is more important than ever in term of build up play link between the CAM and Forwards. Mourinho Long Ball and Direct counter attack has a huge disadvantages now.
As Klopp who found his way to Long balls by DM or RB & LB to create chances.
Mourinho direct long ball to CF to win the ball but poor in mid will always get him and not being in Possession of the ball, lesser you will get in creating chances.
Relying on Opponent make a mistake and start a counter when you already running to get the ball who has so much possesion will only lead to his player stamina depletion and less effective in counter when they get the balls.
Mourinho mostly use his DM for counter or Tackles only.
GK and CB for long balls to CF.
He never took a player who has a good control in ball who can receive ball and goes for through or long balls to side or forward plays.
Instead he want his DM to be strong and agressive to steal the balls for him and win duel in air.
Haha if u watched Mou RealMadrid - They had XABI ALONSO who's imo *THE BEST DM* whos king of Long balls n physically strong enough to do tackles n aerially too v.good.
The RM counterattack was soo lethal those days when xabi Alonso pulled strings n released CR7, Ozil, DiMaria, Benz, Higuain, Morata etc
it was Xabi and Khedira back then IIRC?
Perfect âŁïžâŁïžâŁïž
Damn I never thought I'd see the two hug
Need a video about the height of the wenger vs fergie rivalry đ„
Theyâre both amazing managers but the things Mourinho can do for playersâŠhe can make any player better. And they always fight for him. Every player that was successful under Mourinho still considers that man a father figure to him. Heâs incredible
Now just think both were spent their young age in Barca â€
@Football made simple pls I want to be a coach can u guide me are there football coaching Academy where I can take courses to be a coacg
2:05 "It's like having two Picasso's in the same time period" Then you drew music symbols, why? Did you mistake Picasso for a composer like Mozart or someone? lol
Itâs here guys, The Athletic has begun to take over another channel.
Wonderful comparative reporting of the two biggest coaching influences in worldâs football, but is it deliberate NOT to include JosĂ© Mourinho achievements at Inter Milan? Iâm still wondering why such huge records wasnât mentioned to JosĂ©â credit.
Its different and i love itđ€©đ€
Do a vid on nagelsmann (how is he this good of a manager at the age of 30 something)

They both should sit and talk about football, It would be fascinating Listening to them...
what will be interesting in 2020-2021 Premiere League Season... Guardialo vs Mourinho vs Klopp??? anything to talk about on this?
Plz make a video of outstanding managers that are not in the premier league
You are jeremy ethier of football
Salute
They are both awesome managers. Different route, same passion for football
yout making this up
Canât wait for the carabao final
thought athletic only appears originally on tifo :P
Arteta and Lampard are the future of managerial rivals
At last a way forward!
not gonna lie, i am speaking from the pov of a city fan, when mourinho arrived at utd, i thought that the 2010 - 2012 rivalry of madrid and barcelona between mourinho and pep will repeat again, i was really hyped up but, i guess that didnt happen
Mourinho had success with non top tier european team (porto, won ucl). Guardiola has not prove that he can get the same success with smaller team. Maybe that will be guardiola's next challenge!
analysis of hans flick from bayern munich please

Great video
Barça vs Madrid has always been the greatest rivalry in the world. Nothing will ever change that.
Mourinho=involution.
name of soundtrack?
Brasalona & Realmadrid are the biggest rivalry in the history of club football âœïž
so you're not going to mention when they met when Jose was at inter
"it is likely that Spaniards achivments are behind him" nope looks like you were wrong this machine is still grinding
Look at 7:18, people say Mourinho sucks because he just won this with these clubs. No one in the world would do better in those circumstances
People love Jose better, but Pep is obviously better.
How I wish I could go back to 1997
The problem is that Mourinho is an utterly cynical person, not someone you reconcile with and reminisce.
On the first day , god said "let there be light ", and he saw the athletic
Mourinho is better at being the underdog while Guardiola is only good when he managed a team consisting of star players.
But lets be honest give mourinho 200million pounds he wil not win a lot of trophies mainly cause of his style of football , it dosent work too well with football nowadays
mourinho is the prodigal son , the evil genius
oh i miss the mourinho and Real Madrid
i pick mourinho over pep and im a barca fan.
Did the man seriously just compare The El Clasico rivalry to Man City Vs Liverpool?!
Let's see if spurs levy gonna sell the club to sheik. Mourinho gonna get some money backing .
The thing with the Athletic is that they will weigh heavily on one point/individual but not the other smh
For me its mind management (Mourinho) vs man management (Guardiola). I prefer Guardiola
I had a coach in high school and his philosophy was similar to Mourinho. If we press, itâs only in their half. If not, let them keep the ball and as soon as we get the ball, look up and play fast
Guardiola and Mourinho: The greatest managers.
Klopp: Am i a joke to you?
yes at least now he is a joke
they have dominated the decade and klopp has just started to win .iam not klopp hater but its early to compare him with these two.
@@amanpreetsinghbhathal2328 totally agree with you. Kloop still needs to prove his dominance.
Not even close as of now
Sir Alex Ferguson
mourinho , pep , zidane - the bald avengers
TODAY, SPURS ARE ON TOP OF THE LEAGUE
Watford vs Liverpool
6:30 still tottenham beat man city and man utd beat man city
6-1 damnn
By looking at spurs now it will be right to say that Mourinho is back
Well by looking at Spurs after the UEL knockouts anol,I can tell u that Mourinho is a fraudđđđđ
Pep always had better players. Mourinho makes average players look good. Mourinho has overachieved. Pep has underachieved.
Whoâs here before spurs vs man city?
Of course this is from The Athletic. Why wouldn't it.
You donât mention Inter when you compare them
Mourinho must have changed a fucking LOT from his old Chelsea/Inter days because those players fucking LOVED him and say he was an awesome manager and man to play for. Now though he looks fucking horrible. I'd hate to play for Mourinho now. He seems petty and nasty and moody and bitter.
This video has not aged well
Pepe only know how to manage a team with full of stars, Mourinho can make a win with shit team, he's done that before , unbelievable
Pep know how to make premiere league to farmers league,,,by the way both are great
Back then pep had hair
City Liverpool rivalry doesnât come close to Real Madrid and Barca where both teams had once in a century type player and a team full of insane players. Every game was a must win in a all competition no matter vs Granada or UCL Lr vs atelti one loss just one meant the league was gone
Liverpool quite literally were 11 millimeters away from being a top 5-10 team of all time
Difference is Mourinho can win Champions league with Porto which Pep hasn't done with either Bayern or City
That's the only thing that makes mourihno relevant to this day
pep best in the world
one more added to The Athletic bandwagon it seems đ
If mourinho managed city and bayren he would have won a triple every season
Pep
Imagine a managerial rivalry like this between Xavi and Iniesta in the future đ±đ±đ„đ„
Would never happen. They love each other too much to become rivals. Rather, I would like it to be Xavi vs Xabi Alonso
José didn't evolve. It's hard to say but it's true. I didn't evolve at all
Does anybody knows why PEP only manages teams that already has world calss players and unlimited funds? Cause if that is enough for him to be the best in the world that would that Tuchel, Valverde and Zidane would be as good or better than Guardiola
PSG, Barca and Madrid spend alot too buddy.
Guardiola has evolved football. Look at what he has done in England and how he has change the mentality of English football. If you think any other manager can execute Pep's style and philosophy even with the players Pep has, you are delusional.
