    I had so much fun with this project and I’m blown away at how gorgeous they look and even more so by how well they work! Thank you for checking out the video. If there’s anything I left out or any questions about anything in this video, please comment below!
    Aside from the tools used and the curly maple that I had as leftover stock for the handles in this project, the materials were relatively straightforward and inexpensive by comparison.

    This was one of the better videos I have seen on making turning tools. Very nicely done and the tools look great.

    If you go to steel suppliers, you can get the square stock much cheaper. For a 20 foot stick of 1/2 x 1/2 steel stock, I paid 8.50 and then a $1.00 for them to cut it in half so I could put it in the back of my truck.

    Similar to a previous question, how did you grind or create the V for the detail cutter?
    Great job btw! Appreciate the logic and simplicity…..just missing the V details. Thank you.

    You can easily resharpen those carbide tips. Simply rub them face down on a fine diamond card about 10 strokes is all you will need to recover a shiny surface and, sharp edged tool.

    Like other folks, how did you cut the 'V' recess? Would be much appreciated. 👍

  • @sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc7924

    Nicely made tools, you should get an almost perfect finish with carbide as long as you have the the height of the tool rest correct, the tip if the cutter should be level with the centre of the wood always . Next time if you make any more dont forget to just key the metal that goes into the handle with a angle grander of triangular file. I have made a few and this stops them coming out forever!!! Cheers beautiful wood, sadly no maple in spain but we
    do have olive and grape, oak and dreaded pine and other hardwoods that I have never heard of!

    Hi! Just discovered your footage and was wondering how you managed to get the V-cut into the bar, as I had no idea how to solve this problem. Now I'm a bit disappointed for you didn't show it. Maybe you can give me a hint?

    Well done. The handles are beautiful.
    Is there a reason you didn't get your bar stock from Lowe's or Home Depot?

    • @AZsTinyWoodshop
      @AZsTinyWoodshop  Před 4 lety

      No reason really. I didn't even know/think that local home improvement stores would have them.

      No, I only made one set of them, but haven't even used them since I made them. You want to buy them?
