Had mine a month, it still amazes me. One minute and comfortable cruiser happy to cruise at 70mph at 2000rpm for mile after mile, the next a hooligan that wants to rip your face off if your dare turn that traction control off in less than perfect conditions.

Real shame with the new 1 series, this is going to be a classic and start to appreciate i reckon, there couldn’t be a better time to buy it. The m140i really is an excellent purchase.

Awesome video, only thing stopping me buying an m135i/m140i is the insurance for my age, and the fuel in a 3.0 litre beast. But the value for money you get in that car is insane, favourite hot hatch at the minute hands down!

Had one for the past 3 months now, absolutely love it to bits, had loads of BMW's now and this is the best by far, never bores me, a real drivers car and last of it's kind, definitely a keeper for the future.
This is exactly why I want one over the a45....pure driving skill needed!

The last of its kind was the f20 n55 m135i they put all the noise reductions on the f21

Jus Killz f20 is 5 door f21 is 3 door both have same engine

BMW M140i straight six engine is incredible. i understand that they dyno at 350 - 360 bhp standard.
Definitely a contender for my next car!! An amazing little machine!

Looking to upgrade my daily in the next coming months and after weighing up the options it’s came down to the M140i or S3 both have pros and cons but still undecided
Mate I've driven the s3 and its great but not really involving...quattro takes the fun out to be honest...m140i needs more driving skill when fully going in sport+ which for me is what I want in a sports hatch! :)

Psycho Bread I was looking at an S3 but I drove the M240 first and after that I had to get the BMW

You really shouldn't be sitting so far back with your arms virtually straight. Either adjust the wheel by pulling it closer to you, or move the seat closer, or back rest more upright. You have much better control of the car with your arms bent, as any professional driver will tell you.
Thanks Michael, I'll bare this in mind when adjusting my seat in the future...I had adjusted the seat already but any bit more forward was a bit uncomfortable for my knees... but again thanks for the sound advice :)

Exactly right!
You'd get a slap off a race instructor for having your seat that far back.
You should be able to put your wrists on the wheel at 10 to 2, with your arms still having a bend in them!

On my second m140i ... love everything about them. Well apart from the fuel bills🤫

Great Video and Great car. I think the bmw 3.0 l row 6 cylinder is the best Engine you can get. And just the reason that you Could tune it with Stage 1 Tuning to over 400 hp is mindblowing 👌🏻

Any difference between the 2019 and the 2017 model?
Interior mainly...Dash board and speedo clocks
Exterior nothing but shadow edition adds tinted rear lights and interior of headlights...also there is an exhaust filter that dampens sound and emissions in the July onwards 2018/2019 models

C8UER with all that horsepower, did it really need to be remapped? It’s twitchy enough with 340bhp! Awesome car though and am a proud owner!
I think its more a case of not falling out of love with the car...some peeps do a remap so they fall in love with the car again...
Remaps just put unnecessary stress on the engine parts and can ultimately ruin what is, a fabulous car. Plus the M140i is now becoming even more sought after.....

The Car Tax on my M240i is £465.00 per year
Wow that's crazy! Why??!!
Any car in the UK which was over £40.000 when new attracts a luxury car tax supplement which is £320.00 in addition to the standard car tax of £145. You have to pay the additional sum for 5 years. The 40 grand includes the base price including any options

Different experience in my opinion Pete, have to drive them differently..for everyday use id pick the m140i...for a car to do a touring weekend in id choose the rs3...for a track id choose the m140i for the ability to get the rear end to slide out..

All of you who have a M140i as well... do you also think that the brakes aren‘t that good on the M140i except from that everything is on point of this beast...!!!
Supercars Hunter i’ve noticed the brakes are pretty crap. Concerning tbh.
