I will be collecting my new weapon from Berry BMW Heathrow at midnight on Wed 28th Feb, this will mean I will have a 18 plate car. I genuinely cant wait! Joe Achilles joe I’m thinking of leasing one. It’s a toss up between your exact car and a new golf R as a 3rd car, my son can use too. I’ve had the 140 out today. Tbh it doesn’t handle as well as the golf. Faster and more torque. 8 speed is a good auto box. I’ve had most cars. I can’t decide. Only thing that puts me off about the 140 is it’s not as secure in the wet. Loses grip quite easy. Have you driven the golf R dsg? What’s your thoughts on both cars? Thanks
Love the new motor. I actually looked into changing my M235i for an M140 the other week but financially it didn't make sense to make the switch at this time. Had the M235i for a couple of years now and love it but just got slapped with a S59 and 3 points the other day from Mr Police Officer in an unmarked 5 series.

I'm a recent M135i owner (2014), love it and the channel. Small point but you say the Goodridge hoses stop over heating, to my knowledge this isn't the case, they stop flex that can occur in rubber hoses, so improve breaking performance a little; not so important when the hoses are new unless you are track focused but become more so as the car ages. Keep up the good work

Test drove a 2018 M140i Shadow edition. I'm in love!! Love the retro dials, sound of the engine, the push of the rwd. Mineral grey with cream leather interior. Looks incredible. Something I never thought I'd go for, but about to pull the trigger on 👍

Joe it's absolutely stunning! I know you aren't a fan of bling and for you it's more about the drive rather than the aesthetics, but that's a very good looking car and sometimes why not have a bit of style over substance. Having said that you have some good performance mods too, all round a really beautiful car, dare I say it better than an M car because it's got a bit of a personal touch👍
Iv had my shadow edition a few month now and the seats are a bloody nightmare to keep clean. Watch out for new jeans. I love the steering wheel and front splitter 👌🏻

Fantastic vid as always Joe..... picking up my M240i in MG 1st March too....currently having all the M performance splitter & diffuser parts sprayed in burnt copper....to match my Cognac Leather interior lol..... I know you don't like it, but trust me...it'll look as epic as yours when its done :)

I’ve only had a brief test drive in the pre facelift M135i so I can’t make a full assessment on the car however I take your word on everything you say re the m135/40 and I’d love to ask a BMW engineer why they don’t make them as good as they should be from standard! Lovely Joe, really nice spec. Interior looks great, same colour in my 5. Keep the plastic on the seats 😄 Chavvin it up with that body kit! 😋 No, really tasteful and subtle. You didn't scratch the 'M' decals off the calipers!? Didn't know you were a number 7 man too. Got a 007 plate on my BMW! Can't wait to see a driving review.
Nice video Joe. Not a fan of the Orange colour usually but WOW! I don’t know if I could go back to these cars. I could sense my neighbours hate when I used to start my M135i with MP exhaust and sport cat. I still think they sound better than the B58 engine though.
Really interested to see what your thoughts of the new car are. I ordered mine just after yours and have emailed my BMW dealer today for a dealer fit LSD price. So I could only get a 14 plate 120d m sport due to age and its by no means slow however I'm thinking of tuning it so remap, twin exhaust etc..I'd love some opinions as to wether you guys think it's worth it or if I just wait and then get an m135/40? If you wear the ebc pads out you should try oem m4 pads all round I’m sure you’ll rate them highly!
