  • We attempted a change from the top, without removal of the starter, but it proved a little too tough. It could be done but would take a bit more patience than we had. The video ends with the replacement of the starter.

My question is, are there 2 crankshaft position sensors? My lght still comes on. And the engine stalls while driving!!! Thank You..

I have done this. Why does no one seem to show what you do after to reset the system? Is there another sensor or is this the only one? I keep getting shown there may be two. Hardly anyone tells you not to get that sensor anywhere near a magnet or even a cell phone. If you drop it, it will not work. It's fragile AF despite the strong casing. Use a small pry tool to get it out. You can use long angled needle nose to twist and tug but that small pry tool is the time saver. Still, what did you do to reset the algorithm of the car?

@@CommentThink Not even close. The 2.8L is a V6 while the 2.0L is an inline-4. The two engines have nothing in common. 2.8L was available from 2006 to 2009, so any of those years will work if you find any videos/resources. You should also look into WIS, a program that has every repair procedure you can think of with diagrams and step by step instructions for pretty much every modern Saab variant there is.
