      Glad it was helpful! It's a bit of a challenge to have to hurry because it sets up so fast but once you get used to it. It's not bad at all.

    Thanks for the video! I now know how to cast small parts I'd buy off the internet. and do it with confidence. I'd love to be able to copy tires. Can you do a video please?

    Bubbles are no biggie, they can easily be puttied over sanded smooth and off to the races. They may weaken the part but usually bubbles in resin can be worked with/around easily enough. Nice video!

      Thank you! I have had my share of bubbles and fixed many. Some can be in a bad spot though!

    Nice job on the video! I have a little more advanced question though I’m trying to cast that steering wheel from the 67 cougar and I’m not exactly sure how best to do that so the wheel itself turns out?

      I have had trouble with wheels and have tried doing it as a two part mold.

      Yeah without a pressure pot it’s got to be a difficult proposition.

    A very nice video on how to work with resin. I do have a question about this type of resin. Does it work well with sanding and painting? Any tips on that?
    BUT. The main question I have has to do with the air cleaner. That duel snorkel cleaner is also used on a few HP Mopar engines too. I know I want a couple of them. So please do update us with contact info for them.

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  Před 3 lety +1

      You can sand and paint the resin parts just wear a mask when sanding resin. It can get in your lungs and cause respiratory issues. Just be safe. Clean as if it has some mold release before prime and paint.
      The air cleaner may be used on other Mopars of the time period but I don’t have a list of all applications.

      @@TheMuscleCarModeler. Thanks. I am a huge Mopar guy (own a couple of them) and I am aware of most of the performance models that the air cleaner comes on. That's why I'm interested in getting a couple of them. Cheaper to buy yours than to make each one from kits (the cost of the kits is what kills me).

    The way I see it! If the product hasnt been made in over 10 years and the maker has no buyable parts available then its a free for all!
