I was a bit disappointed when it was simply closed after the cut to the glovebox. Should've made him try a couple more times. Or make it into a blooper reel :-P

Great review as always 👍🏼 Love Matts take on cars 😆 BTW, my Golf requires you to put the wipers in "service mode" to either change the wipers or wash the windscreen. That way the wipers stay nice and low and pretty much out of sight when driving, which is a plus 👍🏼😊

I don’t know why more cars don’t have the picnic trays on the back of the seat and pop out of the dash or console in todays world. So handy for so many things to keep kids busy or even adults :)

The point of the Tiguan Allspace is not to have seven people aboard the whole time, rather it’s a nice-to-have feature in case your kids want their friends to come along as well.
If I had to drive this pointless brick for that reason, I'd tell my kids' friends to take a hike, literally.

Exactly JFCW, this is how I use it and it works briliantly. I was quite sceptical before buying, but really enjoying it now I have it :-)

Thanks for the detailed review. I do agree with most of your critics. However, i do have one question to ask yoy. So what car do you recommend instead? I cant think of any alternative for tiguan. Nissan Rogue is good but the powertrain and infotainment system lacks compare to tiguan. CRV and Rav4 i personally dont think they can compete with tiguan. The only car that i can think of is volvo xc 40 but its way more expensive than tiguan. I think tiguan is still the best everyday vehicle for the price and its design. Let me know if I'm missing any other vehicle!

@@wocaomade you can't get 3 car seats across in either an XC40 or an XC60. Tiguan is tight width wise but the base is just perfectly flat, which helps so much.

3:36 my 2015 Kia Soul has this feature. But it has another regular boot light on the other side. The side with the torch is LED and the other isn't. I have diagnosed OCD and this drives me bloody mad
I just purchased one of these. Need to put new tyres on. They r 18 inch. Can I put 20 inch? as there is gap between tyre and the car. If yes. Will it be safe and driving ok?

My father often gets these as rentals when he's traveling for work. Usually a top spec model. Not the Allspace though, just the regular one. He only drives himself in Canada though

Well I do have it since March 2019 as full equipped 190PS TDI (except leather, 3rd row and 20" wheels, but anything else) and I do have to say it is great - especially regarding space!
But I came from 15 years of A4 Avant and... it is no Audi, but that is ok now...

The lower trim Tiguans look low rent. Higher trims & R Line models look much better especially with the LED headlights
Agree. I haven't seen such low trim on the road so far....and I have seen hundreds of Tiguans.
Whats the difference between this and the Kodiaq?
Is it me or does that “Allspace” font in the rear badge (see 2:50 ) looks like it came from Star Wars?
Just test drove one. The steering is not particularly sharp at all, and it is more numb than a dead horse. And the suspension is surprisingly choppy at higher speeds. Wind and tyre noise pick up above 100kph.

You can get tray tables on a Tiguan?! We definitely don't get that in the U.S. Nothing but the most expensive luxury cars have seat back tables here. Do you guys get the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot there and do they have tables?

In China, the Tiguan ALLSPACE is named Tiguan L, and it only have 5 seats... If you want a 7-seater, go with the atlas (which seems to be unavailable in UK...)

I think that the full digital guages look cheap to me. I like analog guages more and it's more reliable.

I noticed in a lot of cars when they hit the high speeds on the highways, the engine sound is pretty immense, especially for guys who are driving long distances, this can have fatigue. Mercedes and BMW have introduced something called the ACOUSTIC Glass, this makes a huge difference !!. Does anyone know if Tiguan/Allspace has this same feature ?

Same on the mk4 mondeo mk5 is back as normal so if someone want's to swap your wiper blades for their worn ones they can help themselves
The wiper service position shouldn't be a surprise - VW has used it since 2004.
If the third row is only suitable for kids, does the third row have isofix?
