Easily the best college band in the nation! I love the Ohio State Band! They march with such precision and pride and they play their marches better than any other band ever could!!!!! It makes me very proud that I was a citizen of the state of Ohio for several years.
Love that square turn they make. That has to be even more difficult while you're playing in double time. Thanks for uploading this!

Not just double time. That’s cut time at 180 bpm.
So far we only see Wisconsin and Ohio state turn like that
I’ve done this. It’s called the Nickerson turn and it’s really annoying to make look good.

Buckeye fan here. I was there that day for the parade and game. Travel agency took 3 planes full of fans to California. That was just one travel agency; there were others too. We filled two large hotels in Huntington Beach--lovely town. Urban Meyer's last game was memorable. Yes--that street turn was unbelievable! Very sharp! We viewed parade from street level but from above, it looked even more amazing.

Very few bands get to appear in both the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, and then in the Rose Parade, doing the Holiday Season. This Band lead off the 2018 Macy Thanksgiving and Marched in the 2019 Rose Parade.
Even the band directors are in step double time at the corner turn - 14 across with square turn in 2019, 7 across in 2022 with swinging turn.
Without a doubt - one of the best college marching bands in the US.
These bands that are stretched out a block long do not have a clue what a marching band on the street should look like.

I’ve been following TBDBITL for a while now and as a high school band student, I’m amazed once again, they led me to finding the best football team in my opinion and I’m from Alabama(where football is religion), I can’t wait to see them in person and to feel that feeling of pure awe. That drill to turn the corner I have never seen before and I’m envious I can’t been there right now! Go Bucks!!

Mari Anne Souza I looked it up and it seems like it’s performed my most military bands and Ohio state, this isn’t their first time, It is called the Nickelson turn and there are videos of Marine bands doing in through Music213

I have respect for the OSU marching band myself because I'm in my 2nd year of playing trumpet, but the reason I have respect for them is because the music program I'm in would never compare to these people.
This is a very impressive marching band. Intonation, articulation and marching style was done at a high level. Thanks for sharing!

Question to any Ohio state drum line member when you March your field shows your sneers are off to the side but in this video there front in center are you using carriers or are you still using the straps??

"THERE" (FRONT IN CENTER) = REFERS TO PLACE
"THEY"RE" = THEY ARE (CORRECT)
Poor grammar/spelling causes confusion to the reader. It took me a while to realize the meaning of that post. You posters may not care, but your audience does! If you take the time to post, take the time to proofread!
Straps are used for all pregame or traditional performances, harnesses are used for everything else. This applies to the bass drums as well

I knew both the drum majors this year, they're used to it. Sometimes you get the baton, sometimes the baton gets you.

OSU marching band has very few peers, if any when it comes to marching and visuals. But from a musical standpoint, they are above avg, but far from being considered the best.
