Drum majors used to bring a certain dynamic to a corps/band, those days are long gone. There's little reason to have them these days; they're not even window dressing. Who decided putting them out on the 35's and have them flap their arms like little birds trying to get away for a cat? You could have someone from the pit do everything you needed, or why not have your sound guy do the lite work? "Drum Major in a Can."

That actually sounded like a marching band. I am comparing to the other versions that I listened to previously on youtube which sounded like concert bands. They were dancing nearly enough and what happened to the UNH at the end? Haha, such a fun song to dance and play to!

I remember seeing Arcadia HS perform Purple Carnival in 1975 at the All Western Band Review - my school (Agoura) had already performed and I was watching from the sidelines. I literally fell over from the impact of the start of this fabulous march.

Well done!

Look at the China flag. That is the Republic of China Military show. Only the Communist countries perform its "the Military show". Such like North Korea and the Chinese Communist Party in mainland China. The Republic of China is the Communist as well. 看看那面中國國旗 = 那是中華民國軍事秀。只有共產國家, 才會展示自己的「軍事秀」, 看看北韓, 也是如此。中共也是如此。原來, 中華民國也是共產。
