  • It is extremely hard to find a Ghanaian restaurant in Los Angeles, but after much scouting in the area, I’ve finally found a restaurant that serves Ghanaian food!!! This is a very rare chance to try a cuisine from so far away! You don’t want to miss the chance to see me explore Ghanian food for the first time, some of the dishes were simply amazing and to die for. Definitely worth a try! Check out Airport Royal Cuisine for chance to taste the flavors of Ghana!

Fun fact: Jollof rice is a dish from Senegal and became widespread in West African countries like Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, and even Cameroon. we can't compare Ghana's to Jollof that of Nigeria's because both countries prepare them differently and vice versa.

It was the Yellof people of Senegal who make the best "jellof" theycall it. I cannot wait to taste the original. However , I love Ghanaian Jollof over Nigerian Jollof any day. I feel Nigerians add too many spices and cook with short rice or basmati that sometimes make it look dry. At the end of the day the taste depends on the cook , the cooking process and the spices added.
