That drop used to damn there knot your fucking stomach up. It’s not a drop ride out more terrifying than how Freefall used to be.......the good ole days.
As much as I miss FREE FALL, and I do very much so, to say LEX is Not a Real Drop, I'll Dissagree Strongly with Anybody. Both FREE FALL Experiences I feel had a similar feel of pure Adrenaline Rush and both give you that Dropping sensation in your stomach. The only difference, is that Lex Stops with magnetic breaks and your not on your back. I ❤️ Lex and am glad SFMM attatched it to the SUPERMAN Tower. What I miss about FREE Fall was the Trip up that Elevator shaft and the Drop of course.
@@JenGerardThank You for Your Service Operating this ride and keeping us safe during those years. I do miss it very much, although I Absolutely ❤️ LEX and can ride it Multiple times. I remember how Tall it looked before they Put Up RIDDLER all around it.
Since it was already in the DC Universe area by Riddler Revenge, they could've themed it after another character......I don't know...maybe....."Mr. Freeze Freefall"?
So lucky to ride this back in 1993, classic ride
Anyone who has ever been on this knows you actually felt the drop! unlike Superman & Lex Luther ... I miss Freefall i wish SFMM never Removed it.

Agreed!!!
It was real. We used to put pennies on our knees and they would float for the first part of the drop

this was the only ride at six flags that scared the shit out of me.
That changed my life forever, never been on a ride again ever, not even the merry go round!!
2024 and I just found out they got rid of this ride? Why!?!? It was one of the biggest stomach-churning drops in the park. 10x more than Superman.
THe scary part was the sound... and the delay before the fall.. and knowing it was rusty and creaking. Modern rides feel too safe.
And for some reason that’s a bad thing
Since it sounded like that when it was brand new too, I’m guessing it was an effect done purposely to disconcert guests.
It’s a mix between Superman and lex Luther drop of doom it was a great tide
My favorite ride at magic Mountain! #ILOVECALIFORNIA..#BRAT
I miss Freefall. I was on free falls crew back in 2000.
Adam Lemus I was a lead at Freefall 1987-1988
@@unwelldanny7108 I wish i can find people that worked on this ride in the early 80s

Freefall is one of the old rides from Magic Mountain good memories
Dude I totally forgot about this ride
this ride was better than Superman
Scarier than superman
Oh how I enjoyed this ride
I loved this ride so much
How did they quiet the brakes? I remember when I was 10 years old, that thing was roaring at each drop and it was terrifying!
It seemed like this ride was always closed whenever we went.
This ride always scared me. The drop was more intense.
I wish it was still here.

It was already blue in the early 90s so
Where would FREE FALL Entrance be if it were still Up❓️
Can the Area it once sat on, be seen or recognized through Riddlers Line que❓️
When you are on this ride, scream as loud as you can.
Damn i miss the crap out of the ride 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Is this ride still there at six flags? Loved it
Yes come on down and ride it
NO, it was removed back in 2008 I believe.
@williampavichevich4877 such a classic ride. czcams.com/video/2VcZWzw2Rbg/video.htmlsi=Xzbx25Ztl1KMDscg
Only got to ride it once
U said this twice
I did it 1989. Twice!
I assume it was more expensive then the simple gravity drops.
This is the first gravity drop ride ever
1982-2004
Or more like having a hard time finding replacement parts as the ride model was discontinued by intiman
Only got to ride it once
Same. I was 10 years old.
Same here as well; I've only ridden it once, on my very first visit to the park in Deja Vu's opening day.
