Gatac Syulen: Is it the Starter for You?

This ship is pure aesthetics. If you don't love how it looks and flies, nothing else is worth enough note while you're paying the additional alien tax.
I just learned about the 2 SCU containers - good catch - thank you! I saw you firing two missiles at once, and I wanted to let you know you can fire up to three at a time. Auto-land (alt n) helps with landing in stations.
I've been making a montage of the details for my next video and I fall in love with it more each frame. I've yet to use it in combat, but it's good to know it's formidable.
Also, you have an exceptional narration style and are so good at conveying information in a concise manner!
I only fly small ships and don’t care about vehicles so this is probably going to be my daily for a looonggg time
I can’t land it to save my life.
It's certainly different! Having the camera angle bound to a key for me really helps in tighter landing spaces!

It really is just an enjoyable ship!
I am pretty sure the SCUbox holder on this ship is a placeholder until the Gatac cargo boxes come in seen in the Railen concept
I hope that's the case (and it happens soon) because it's the only real negative thing I have to say about the ship! Love everything else about it!

Big help for me getting out of hangars and getting into the ones that have the doors infront of you instead of above is taking off and just strafe out the door sideways the ship fits a lot better and also looks cool asf
Can you fight with the landing gear down to make the profile smaller?
if CIG had taken the time to program the cargo hoops to take a 2scu or smaller (like as small as a mail box) it would have been a 10/10. as is for me, its a 7/10 useful, 10/10 "cool"
Love pretty much all the Syulen has, sadly it has the massive flaw of not being an MSR.
It's a Gorgeous Ship. I think this thing alone will bump sales on the Railen
I might consider a ccu from a Taurus to a Railen , I can always melt it if CIG does something stupid with it . The Railen is in a good place price and cargo capacity wise . Just not sure about defense while soloing it . @@BeardofOz
Hey good news, fellow MSR lover. They nerfed it again. It now has barely enough upwards thrust to not fall out of the air! Truly a marvelous ship.
Ive got bigger and better ships but i cant get enough of flying this around. Handles beautifully and is very cozy. Makes me excited for the railen if we see it in someone's lifetime
So much quant fuel that you can put a VK-00 in there and have the fastest quant drive in the Verse. Not a huge fan of the aesthetics of alien ships that have released before the Syulen. The Xi'an has some incredible design. This has me excited for the Railen.
For function, a ship with a cargo bay is going to be more useful for a new player since they can tractor a loot pile in there. I'd say the Titan or C8X because they can both easily down bunker turrets and don't have a THICC front cross section. As much as I like Drake, the Cutter is a bit anemic on firepower. This is if you want and a damn good looking ship and great atmo translational control.

It's a beautiful ship, no denying. Almost Perfect in fact.
They nailed the alien feel but it's completely impractical.
No, you can carry cargo, weapons rack, good fire power, a bed ,cool factor etc… It’s just a bit hard to land.
As a starter ship I don't personally find it to be impractical. If you're wanting to push into specific roles, perhaps, but otherwise it does what a Starter should do.
I mean I would ask how? What are you doing as starting out in the game? Do you plan on making money? How do you plan to do that? Mining? Running Cargo? Doing bounties? Any of those things are far more practical to do with the Cutter and the Titan. Not only that but if you use the age old equation of time vs. money the other vehicles will be more practical as well. Now that's not to say the ship doesn't have some things going for it, it does combat ability being one of those. But when it comes to anything other than flying and looking cool... it's going to fall short. Even getting in and out of it is impractial as is landing it. @@BeardofOz
Of the starting vehicles which can't carry cargo? which don't have beds? Of those how many can you get in and out of easily? Of those which can fit a small land vehicle? Which could you drag a body into easily? It boils down to cool factor. Don't get me wrong it has some things going for it but it's no where near as practical as the other starter vehicles. Which by the way it doesn't need defending. It's the coolest starter there is, but if we're talking about using it for pretty much anything from cargo loading and running to bunker running to rescue, etc. the other vehicles are just more practical. @@kilamir
