How do you line the drop block so it is directly under the barrel after screwing on the back of the brass valve? Is there a way to adjust the drop block?
just back the valve off till it aligns, it will still seal inside the block.. so tighten valve till it seats, back off till it clocks upright,, safepacs dont need clocking.

its not the thread you need to worry about , its the wall thickness where the oring sits and the wall thickness under the threads ( so thread root - I.d then divide by 2 ) . the threads will hold 10,000 psi no issue , but the oring grove needs to be very precise. If youre running aluminum ( any grade ) you need to be more cautious.

It can happen from a fresh fill there seems to be no rhyme or reason that I can figure out. It’s definitely holding pressure, if I do not have a pellet inside it’ll always fire, but when there’s a pellet, it’s iffy?
@airgunningyup I think that I figured it out, I have to keep it at right around 1800 psi no more for the system I got going. I just have a basic 2240 the only custom I have is the breech and the safepac, I'm also running one of the magnum ports. At 1800 psi I'm getting 8-10 really healthy shots with some amazing accuracy with the 14" barrel. I also ran into an issue filling mine until I figured out that for some reason you need to have the action cocked for it to fill. I'm not sure if it was a pump issue or what, but I'm figuring it out. I'll upgrade as I can with a pressure Guage and so on . I'm not sure if you are the person that made this, but because of it I have a new favorite air pistol.

I pulled the trigger and bought your safpac , Im super excited . Doing some reading , looks like people have replaced the popit with a valve stem from the Benjamin Discovery. I did same and also bought the heavy hammer spring . I like to say how impressive this device is and after playing with it for a while and recovering from all the money I've thrown at my gun I will buy another for sure . If you own a 2240 you know what I mean , it's the most expensive gun you can buy for 80 bucks . Once I've got the gun put together I will do a review . Thanks again for your awsum product .
@@elliottanderson4453 I've bought one and highly recommend a power adjuster. I've been fiddling with the 2 springs in the valve itself and the hammer spring. I have a Benjamin Discovery valve stem with the original stock 2240 spring inside along with a heavy hammer spring. 1st few go around pumping to 1200 PSI I only got 3 shots. Shooting H&N 30 grain slugs at 870 to 860 FPS ridiculous power. Currently with a light hammer spring , 60 percent increase transfer port , extended bolt probe Im now getting 840 to 820 FPS with 21 grain H&N barracuda 11 shots . For 20 pump strokes. 💪. Increasing the strength of the valve spring will give more shots . FYI Rob says you don't need any other parts but the front trigger frame screw is to long and hits the safepac without being snug and securing the trigger frame , the rear trigger frame screw fits perfectly, I had another gun and robbed the screw off that then ordered a stainless screw set from eBay, you can also get just the front trigger frame screw alone to save $

I was hoping someone would have some shot string data on here. I'm assuming it's somewhat similar to the Co2 powerlet but with higher fps. Concerned about large extreme spreads.
its threaded to the valve, and the valve is held by a retainer screw under the grip frame. The only force trying to eject the entire assembly is the hammer strike.

I understand this is an odd question and normally people ask to tune up for more power, however i live where there are very strict laws regarding air weapons and so i would need to tune it down to a maximum of 12 ft lb at the muzzle, do you think this is possible using a 14" .22 barrel? Or would it be too hard to get it to stay somewhere between 11-12 ft lb consistently?
@@MDM1992 add a strong valve spring and weak hammer spring , you can tune for 2 fpe if you wanted. So its definately tunable for lower power .. Using the stock poppet already limits power to about 12 fpe , but the best way to tune in my opinion is setup for power and down tune from there.

Would it be an improvement to use the discovery valve stem with this, or does it need that pin to guide it?
its an improvement since the pin just takes up space when installed with the safepac.. also less seating force with the disco poppet.

it could withstand 3000 plus , the safepac is the limiting factor , that and the 2240 poppet

what pressure are you filling to ?? have you dipped the front end under water to make sure its not leaking ?? What popper are you using ( valve stem)

15-18.. for shot count you want a drop block , which would be over 100 shots per fill.

well , you automatically gain about 80-125 fps over co2.. Id add a heavier hammer spring before bothering with porting

depends on the barrel length , and the hammer spring youre using.. Generally across the board you will gain atleast 100 fps

shot count is wayyyyy lower and yes harder to tune.. you may be better off with a drop block
