simple and perfect! now we know! many thanks for sharing
You just changed the game for me đ
It's so much fun!!!! I cant go back lol
This is absolutely awesome, thank you!!
Thanks for the telemetry link! I have been looking into building a PSVR 2/PC VR racing sim, and this could be a great Day 1 feature.
Awesome, would love to check it out once it's ready!!!
Oh my.. I'm subscribing to your channel now.
đ€Łđ€Ł Thanks!!
Your a GOD! My DOFReality H3 works like a charm. THANKYOU Shawn or is it Sean.....A LIVING LEGEND!
Haha its Shawn, but you can call me whatever đ€Ł and happy to help!!
Awesome was waiting to hear this.
How much is a dof reality h3
Does it work msfs
Excellent video! Do you think this program will work with the new-Next Level Racing-Motion Plus Platform?
did you ever get it to work?
Good evening, can you tell me how you solved the stability problem with the VR2?
Thank you very much.
Have you though of trying to put tracking spheres up to help the motion compensation?
Is it possible for this to work with the Next Level Racing V3 Motion Seat?
Can you Please drop a pic with your specific SRS settings for GT7
Now how do I use the base PS5 controller in PSVR2 for No Manâs Sky? Because the combat is literally impossible during flight with the VR controls
Thanks for video. Does motion compensation work?
Unfortunately it's doesn't with the PS5, like it does with PC. Surprisingly though, it wasn't too bad with out it, except the maps that have intense quick elevation changes. All still playable though.
Great video!! Now I need to get one!! But I'm really curious how the headset doesn't loose tracking when moving around . and goes out the boundaries??
With PCVR you can use motion compensation which corrects for the movement. With PS5 there is no option for that at this point. It surprisingly works pretty well still though. If the car is on a really big incline or decline, while heavily braking or accelerating it can cause your head to be too low or too high in the car, due to the no motion compensation. I havent had it happen all that often if GT7 though.
Thanks for the answer. Would be interesting to try if it would get better attaching a small screen to the yaw 2 and using the screen tracking aid option on psvr2.
A motion compensation solution could be something like this indeed considering that there is no data input to the PS5 from the PC or YAW II.
In any case something to do with the cameras on the headset. Probably it's just up to the PS VR2 software on the PS5...
Can you tell me if you need the premium subscription to be able adjust the amount of movement in the chair?
Great Video!! How about the V3 motion platform? does it work for that yet?
That's what I'm trying to find out. I'm literally sitting around waiting to buy one but don't want to until I know it works
Thank you very usefu videol how do we play different games and VR games on ps5 with our yaw2 please when you know please do a video will be greatly appreciated
I'm hoping some more PS5 games will add this telemetry option, like GT7 has. I really want this in the upcoming Switchback PSVR2 game!! đ€đ€
This setup can work with any motion sim right?
Hey buddy, will DCS work with the SRS and yaw2? Like you mentioned I canât get this yaw software to work to work together with my vr and DCS
I like u couldnât get yaws software to work, so frustrating!!! I got the SRS motion license and it works!!! Iâm still trying to figure out if I need the premium subscription to be able to adjust the peripherals
Dose it work with flight-sims as well, such as Ace Combat and StarWars Squadrons etc.
I also own the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 flight stick, plus peddles; and I have a feeling that the next Ace Combat game will also be fully playable on PS VR2, just like GT7.
Plus iâm praying Star Wars Squadrons will eventually get a PS VR2 upgrade.
Yep it does!!! Not sure if it will with future PSVR2 versions though, unless the devs add it in đ€đ€
@@RenderedReality thanks
How do you stop the PSVR2 showing up the green boundary with all that motion?
I also would like to know this
Where can you buy a motion simulator rig?? đ
For the Yaw 2 it can be purchased at yawvr.com not sure how long it will take to get it though.
Is this still a solid option if you only have PSVR2?
Oh my god you cracked the code so much respect to you @RenderReality
Something I always said is if Sony actually made a motion Sim, they'd take over most of the gaming industry
It is so much fun with GT7 too!!! I'm loving it!!
@@RenderedReality I bet it is. Now that I know a way to make the Yaw2 work with the psvr 2, I'll grab one asap.
Great info!
Would you recommend the Yaw 2 for PCVR with Microsoft Flight Simulator? It looks really cool and fun, but not sure its too arcadey and a bit over the top with movement?
Also, how does it handle motion compensation? I've not tried a motion platform yet but I hear there can be problems in VR where you head movement doesn't match the cockpit so you might end up with your view going into the ceiling or across to the other side of the car or plane. Is this true, and can it be corrected?
I would reccomend it with msfs, I don't play that game a lot, but I have tried it with the Yaw 2 and it's awesome. Really adds to the experience.
With PC there are a couple ways to do motion compensation. The native Yaw program has some built in, but I the app doesn't always work great for me. I use the witmotion add on attachment, and Sim Racing Studio to take care of the motion compensation. It works well, and even using no motion compensation, I don't find it that extreme. You do get some in headset movement with out any though.
are you using the rotation platform add-on for the yaw 2?
No, I didn't get the rotation platform. I do plan on getting the gravity platform though.
Is the Yaw 2 sturdy enough for the Logitech G Pro wheel and the Pro Pedals?
I think it should be, I have seen pictures of people using them with the Yaw 2. I think I am going to pick up the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD pro.
How March is it in rands
Hi~ Do you know if PS4 version of GT7 also can output telemetry data to SRS? Thanks!
That I'm not sure about. I dint have a PS4 to test with. I would imagine it would though.
It can, so it would probably work much the same way.
Listen, I was looking online to see if there were any new updates on this where it can connect directly to the ps5, did t find any. It would be great if yaw2 could connect direct to ps5. People would buy it like crazy. Why Sony donât allow it? Wow. The ps5 is already a computer. Is there any new update 2024 on this with ps5?
Pro tip, you don't need to cover the IP address of a device in your local subnet
I'm envious, but also Yaw2 seems a bit unrealistic, at least as a bystander watching you go up so high during acceleration, and even side to side movement. Quite curious of how it compares to other rigs with some hydraulics motors setups.
That is all completely adjustable, I just like a lot of movement.
@@RenderedReality That's good to hear, thank you for clarification. Although I do believe it's a bit overpriced, I will keep an eye for the future! ^_^
@@IIMinDStealeRII Yeah, I have my platform not move half as far, but when the kids want to rise a roller coaster sim, I tune it to max. You can set pretty much all motion platforms for as little motion as you want.
Can you put any seat on the YII?
Like a Playseat?
Yes for the most part, they break it down a little further on their site, but I believe as long as it has a flat bottom base.
@@RenderedReality Thanks very much! Looks outrageously fun.
can i use my 2020 macbook pro for sim racing studio????
Unm, I'm honestly not sure. May have more information on their website, if it supports Apple.
If it's the M1, you might be able to via parallels, they have a 14 day trial. If it's an intel one you can use bootcamp and it's easy.
Details pleeeease on your desktop wallpaper!
I believe it's from wallpaperflare.com not sure what it's called though lol
The dof reality work with consoles to and the a little cheaper then yaw 2 for 500$ less you can get a dof p3 3dof.
Can I do this just as easily with my MacBook?
I am honestly not sure if it's compatible with a Mac book.
Did they enable it in the SRS config file by default ? because Otherwise you have to do that yourself
Yep they did, it's part of the new beta
Quick question on this⊠When the rig tilts back to simulate acceleration, does the view inside the headset have you looking up to the roof of the car? Also, when you brake and it tilts down, does the headset have you looking at the dashboard? Or does your view always have you looking directly out the windshield no matter how youâre tilted. Iâm just wondering how the PSVR2 distinguishes your head movements from the rig tilting? Also, is this the Pro version of the Yaw 2?
This is the standard Yaw 2. The PS5 doesn't have motion compensation like it does with PCVR, but your view surprisingly doesn't change very much. Only a little bit, but not really enough to affect the gameplay at all. It works surprisingly well.
@@RenderedReality In my 6DOF motion platform, tilting back fools you into thinking there's longitudinal acceleration because your view forward is unaffected by the rotation due to motion compensation. I'm limited to PCVR for this reason, and also limited to lighthouse based VR headsets which provide solid MC. One thing to note though. I find rotating back/forward to simulate acceleration/deceleration doesn't work so well when there's constantly varying acceleration. It's more suited to slower jets and planes.
@@RenderedReality Thank you for that answer. I think Iâm going to pull the trigger and order one of these. One other questionâŠI donât have the most powerful PC in the world (one of the reasons I use PSVR2) Do you know anything about what the minimum PC specs needed to run SRS to get the PS5 and PSVR2 working with the Yaw2? Thanks.
I wonder if the upcoming Yaw G accelerator attachment, timed with backward rotation, will help mimick forward acceleration?
@@RayD1234 a basic laptop will run SRS the specs are close to bare minimum as itâs just a data relay program.
That being said I decided to just not use my motion platform with PSVR2 and GT7 itâs basically a barf machine without motion compensation your head just flies around to cockpit without it. Honestly a terrible experience compared to a PCVR experience with MC. Iâd give it like a 2/10 review and basically is just a novelty vs super immersive on PC. A cockpit with 4 corner bass shakers and steering wheel would be a much better match with PSVR2 & GT7
im trying to cancel my order before it ships out and i emailed them and they havent gotten back do you know what to do im getting kinda scared
Your order for the Yaw 2?
@@RenderedReality yes
Can you make it work with switchback vr on psvr2
I am really hoping so, but I dont think it will be possible at least right away, unless the Switchback teak decides to add telemetry support.
@@RenderedReality actually it's a bad idea the game is too terrifying anyway
Oh man, does this mean I might be able to use my NLR V3 motion platform with my PS5?!?!?
were you able to use your NLR?
@@pigwatcher3 Yep. it worked!
@@originaltrilogy1 how?!!!!!!!!!
It worked using the method OP used?
Brilliant !!!
@@originaltrilogy1
It would be nice if there was a direct method to connect to PS5...something like a licensed motion seat manufacturer..or like the PS3, allow running Linux OS to install such software.
It's weird bec I'm pretty damn sure GT7 makes up like 85% of the sim racing community. So its a missed market oppertunity..But manufacturers for such technology know console gamers ain't in that budget range and won't pay shite
Yeah, would be really nice to have that option. I am glad it's at least possible though, it's so much fun with GT7. I am currently hooked on this game!!
A raspberry pi version would be nice as well, to attach directly to your sim rig.
is there a tutorial on how to get Dirt rally working with the yaw 2? I have sim racing studio...it sees the yaw and I can do tests...once I jump into the game I get no movement...
Man I donât like that u need to depend on wifi for this to work with PS5. There definitely should be lag or delay.
You don't have to rely on wifi. My wifi is just really good here. You can have the PC and PS5 hardwired through ethernet.
Looks like the just jump right into to psvr and not set up didnât last long lol
This is just a first time setup. After that you just double click GT7 and hop in. Super quick still lol
Why even bother to blur IP address inside the home network?
đ€Łđ€Ł
Sony need to have yaw2 on ps5, also, wireless headset if they can, rock star need to have grand thef vr optional on ps5, etc. We do t need to spend money buying all kind of equipments running wires all over etc. Just the free king headset and the console. Such a technological time we are in. I know it can work, they just greedy for money. SMH
OhâŠ
That driving doesn't look natural. It looks like driving in drunk with rocking chair.
Itâs all pointless. Gt7 has the worst online play Iâve ever experienced. The players and execs running it have zero respect.
There are some good people online as well though, plus the regular game is still awesome
It depends on what driver class your in. I'm in BS and it's 80% clean
@@CTK123. thatâs a horrible ratio when your racing against 12-16 people. Itâs a completely broken online experience if you attempt daily races. Getting lucky and having fair competition only once in a while is not a brag.
@@RenderedReality I agree. Doesnât change what I said. For me, itâs unplayable. BS is usually unplayable, which makes it unplayable for me. Iâm not wasting half an hour only to be purposefully wrecked the entire time.
But thatâs me. You donât have to agree.
Do you need sim racing studio to use the Yaw sim rig?
With Gran Turismo 7, yes. It is the only way I have found at least. It won't work with just the PS5 alone. I also use Sim Racing Studio for pcvr ad well. The software just works really well, and makes it a lot easier then any thing else I have tried.
