I’m backer 767, and this long wait (31 months) has my family and friends now laughing and telling me I’ve been taken 😮 Perhaps the DOF Reality H3 would have been an easier purchase (understanding no guarantees with Kickstarter investments). Hey, I got one of the first, and you are better off not having it. It's been a bumpy ride and I've been on the verge of hocking it out into the street on a number of occasions. Basically, it hasn't been useable for me ever, though some of the recent software tweaks might fix it. This looks like a major improvement.

While the exclusive info you provide seems great in terms of production quality, I had hoped you would have offered info regarding product fulfillment, because as a potential buyer, I am very hesitant. Most reviews I see on this are over a year old, from influencers... most comments I see on their kickstarter page are less than desireable.
All I can say to this is that non Kickstarter orders have being getting fulfilled for some time, they recently sold their factory building (still renting it) which I’ve been told will help with fulfilling orders to backers.. I expect this will steady around late May after the Yaw3 has passed a small round of end user testing. Additionally they have a Yaw3 prototype in Florida at the Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace expo this week flysnf.org
Great video! :) I'm definitely interested in upgrading so would be interested in that. I'm hoping it can draw enough power through the output plug to add fanatec wheels and transducer amps etc plus strong enough to not buckle from a alu profile racing frame. :) I'm hoping it does have more roll and would love to tilt back to have more forward tilt for sure! Would it be possible to put the feet “screwed” to the base (and not magnet) and have holes to be able to fix them to a wooden or metal platform with wheels that allows moving the yaw2 to use it and “moving it to a corner” when not use? and the other question… Would it be possible to have some element that allows a joystick to be placed between the legs like in airplanes? (in addition to using the central platform for a button pad or a laptop...) I don't know if the central platform and an element to put a joystick between the legs would "fit" due to space problems...
They have always been screwed at the side, just magnets at the bottom, this is quite rigid.. I have already requested holes for fixing to floor/platforms on the V3.. 🤞
1 plug and 1 usb seems fine as most people would need a 5 to 7 port hub and multiple power outs anyway by the end of it all. So 2 alone would not be enough for most anyway.
In my last discussion with CEO it seems the timeline has pushed back about a month.. I have a meeting with him tomorrow.. hopefully I'll get some good news for an update
YawVR have said they will start shipping V3's to backers as soon as the V3 starts shipping generally. Assuming they come through with this you should be getting a unit that is more reliable than you would have if you received a unit earlier.
So uhh can you get Yaw team to add the option to purchase our own Raspberry Pi5 upgrade? lol. I won't pay double for a front of the line pass but I will pay for a Pi5. They can keep my Pi4 for someone else's yaw2

you car's timing belt lasts 75K miles having thousands of hot/cold cycles and RPM variations. belt technology started to really advance 30 years ago. 2 cents
why would anyone buy this? we have not gotten a major racing or sim game in vr for years now. Forget about this and new headsets, if theres no games whats the point?

I have the Yaw2 with Fanatec CSL.
But the Wheel always fails, because the USB Signal or theelectrical current is not constant.
I don't expect this to be a problem with this variant, I've successfully used a G920 via VirtualHere on a Pi3, and a Pi4 should have more throughput.

They should have a 360° option..meaning the seat then goes full circle. Should be easy to do.
This is already one of the things that is unique to YawVR simulators.. unlimited 360 rotation.

As the RPi usb ports will be directly accessible you’ll get 4.. but you could still plug a powered hub into one of the Pi ports.

Isnt a belt drive worse for the longevity of the device than having metal gears?
This is possible, we don't know the belt rating yet, but it will be a lot simpler to repair than worn gear teeth 🤷

If you could sell one with a motor strong enough to move an aluminum rig, it would be great. It will probably be cheaper to ship.
The motors haven't changed from the previous revisions where they had to move around far more weight.
