I just got mine today, basically packed the exact same way. The base is seemingly ok but there is a giant hulk fist sized dent in the seat piece. They still seemingly have changed nothing with shipping/packaging as two other parts that were shoved in there had some superficial scratches/scuffs but thankfully one was the underside of the tray and the other is super subtle. One thing I haven't checked that now Im is the bottom of my base.

I am backer 305. Why should I have to pay more to get what was promised? To date, I have only received the seat. Where is the rest of the YawVR? I've beeen a backer since 2020. This is ridiculous?

It was my understanding you’d be paying 10 percent more as a backer, not full price minus 10% Price going from a few hundred dollars more to a couple thousand is obviously going to piss people off.

I hope this company doesn't go the same path as Fanatec but after watching this plus the interview with the CEO it sure looks like deja vu ........ It's fine to use Chinese companies (cheaper manufacturing costs ) but at some point you need quality control and from the fitment of panels I do not believe all these issues were transit related . Clearly the "quality control" aspect needs to be addressed swiftly or unfortunately this company could face the exact position of Fanatec. Relying on customer financing is a very risky venture

Hey dude I only use SRS for everything- with their licensed motion comp with wit motion sensor (using open vr motion comp)…. The yaw game engine makes the unit whispaw back and forth while the game is paused and has few other minor glitches. Infuse VR motion comp doesnt work for me and game ne some vr centering problems

Great interview as always! You are a hero, Sir. The issue between those who paid for the 2DOF vs 3DOF is further compounded when you consider some paid for 3DOF PRO version (such as myself), which was around double the cost of the 2DOF version. Some paid even more for the arcade version. They may not find a solution to make it completely fair... but I hope those who paid double get SOMETHING to show for it, something they would find satisfactory...

I cancelled my order as you can't ship without protecting the metal. Any shipped package has to be able to drop 4" on all corners/sides. Millions of other companies do it.

The only thing that interests me is when the kickstarter devices are being delivered. The rest is just blablabla at this point. How many years is it now that you guys took all those millions from backers? When do we get our stuff?

They are making a good faith effort to satisfy those that pledged to the Yaw2 Kickstarter campaign with the superior Yaw3. The long wait plus the remaining unknowns is legitimately frustrating but Yaw first has to stay in business by attracting new customers. I just got my Yaw3 and am impressed with the new design.

Also, is there a new weight limit to the new devices? I'm 180 lbs but will be adding quite a few heavy accessories and want to be sure I don't exceed the weight limit. In addition, will the base be more stable? I've seen some videos where it seems to jump around due to the small base when in motion?

On my Yaw3, the outer wall of the rear maintenance flap is dented, probably also due to transportation. But it doesn't affect the function, so far everything is fine in terms of the structure. I see at 9:54 that you have a cover plate in the front of the base, which is missing on mine. Have you tested the wireless USB connection? I occasionally experience a signal dropout. The app for testing works well, I haven't had much experience with the other software when playing. A guide to setting up Sim Tools, Sim Racing Studio and experiences with the in-house software would be interesting...

Yea fatal packing mistake of using the item itself to supply the rigidity to the packaging as opposed to to using the packaging to supply the rigidity to the item. €1 worth of 12mm wood would solve the problem. I canceled my order until the shopping matures.

No "Handle with care on box" for starters.

The number of chewed out screws in the video at the 17 minute point suggest VERY poor quality control at the factory before it even makes it to the box. The difference in the two covers isn't packaging. It''s also poor quality control in the molding process. Also an extra screw beside the cover at that point in the video suggests they're just adding "fixes" as they go along unless the replacement is a different model than the first one. The third screw is probably what caused the warp in that surface when you put the straight edge on it. For $4 grand US I'd expect better than what seems to be a work in progress.

Hey dude, My Yaw three came perfect despite the box being beat up pretty bad-- you don’t need to remove the pitch door to connect the flat cable. Just hold it up and do the connection you will need two people… My screws were also stripped because they were too tight, but we got the yaw three assembled in under an hour and it’s been fantastic for a few weeks.

Interview was fine on your end, not a fan of yaw and still convinced I will never receive this. Sad cause they are literally missing out on loads of free advertising by not getting this in the hands of the creators who backed them, I know a few me included. The best advertising they could ever have is I dunno people actually using the thing, the biggest enthusiasts are the ones that would have backed.

Oh scrap! I'm going to have to buy a Pimax Crystal with Wireless just for this chair ... and a Pimax Super/12K for general use. Expensive!

Will you really end up killing your cable with wired HMD doing 360 if you have good cable management? For example, I have the KATVR 2 slidemill thingy and I can spin around many, many, many times before there is any kind of a noticeable issue with the cable. There really only is an issue if I go one too dominantly in one direction. I figure with 360 Yaw movement it would be a similar situation. There's also utilities like FPSVR (I think that's the name) that track this for you and help you manage it.

Once you recive yaw 3 could I recommend for you to try the wireless nofio for valve index ?? If you can get one also about the extra parts we paid separately are we still going to get that or we getting g our money back for those parts

I am a backer, one within the first 300. After asking for a shipping update after more than 2 years I was told they could not send it and that I had to buy a Yaw3 with a 10% discount (!) I guess it's my fault for trusting the kickstarter campaign, I am getting a dof h3.

When is shipping expecting to ship for the U.S

I plan on ordering a Yaw3 + Somnium VR1 in the future and i have that crazy idea to put the VR computer itself into/onto the chair itself to enjoy cabled VR AND full 360 degrees of rotation - there is an outlet on the rotational platform, right? That should work then in theory, someone correct me if i am wrong? Since the only moving parts in today's computers are the fans - they should be able to work, even when "shaked" a bit, when everything is strapped and fixed in place. I am however not sure about the max. output of that outlet. And the second question is: where to actually place the computer. (And then maybe without a case of course, so that weight is reduced, also i guess space would be very limited for such a task as well). I have to investigate...

I am hoping the CEO sees this post. We paid for yaw2 over a year ago. The only part was sent to us was the yaw chair and nothing else. I would love to get the rest of the yaw 2 or get our money back. It is not cool to take our money and then deliver to new people after I paid. I hope he responds, I have my doubts, none of my emails get a response.

As another Aussie and backer in the 300s and having offered to pay even more to actualy get one, I do find this whole concept perverse, it just goes on forever with no hope of an end in sight or ever getting delivery. I don't believe for a moment they will start any significant delivery before Xmas. Got a DOF reality H3 about six months ago and it is like sitting in a mixer, not smooth at all, so I would say just avoid this market and build a home project yourself.

What about USA?

What about the Yaw3 360 platform? The 360 is one of the main USP I here.
