- Siri creator Adam Cheyer shows off the first version of Siri he ever created in a magical way, on Season 5 Episode 11 (S05E11) of Penn and Teller Fool Us. Teller, the silent magician, is so astounded, he actually uses his voice to respond for the first time in "Fool Us" history!

You just did a trick that no other magician before have done on the show, and it's making teller speak , actually you did create a realistic SiriTeller .
Getting teller to talk is a great magic trick
The 'impromptu' tricks post performance were an awesome touch. He seems like an amazingly humble man. Such a neat concept too.
If he is so humble why put "Siri Creator" in the title when in fact he admits during the video to only being a co-creator o.O
@@djorngougenhimer7455 Because humble people want views too. You acknowledging that he clarifies it kind of undermines the point you thought you were making. But that's just my humble opinion ✌🏼😉
@@djorngougenhimer7455 Don't be pedantic.
Ok not gonna lie at first I didnt expect too much from the performance since just having the Siri creator on the show is enough of an attention-grabber, but DAMN that was a brilliant trick and one of the most wholesome ones I've seen on this show. I loved the narrative and setup of your trick and how it beautifully intertwined with Siri. It may not have fooled Penn & Teller, but it put big smiles on everyone in the audience including me, and thats what magic is all about. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience!
Getting teller to speak deserves its own trophy
Getting Teller to speak was magic in itself
This is one of the best magic performances I've ever seen! I've watched so many of the Penn and Teller episodes but never have I seen someone just doing trick after trick, even when their performance is technically over! Thanks!
By the end of the video I was laughing. What a good routine! Adam seems very likable and personable
Regardless of the fact he didn't fool them, it was thoroughly entertaining and I really enjoyed the concept. 😃
This started off a bit rocky, but blew my mind by the end! What a terrific magic trick!
The tell was the way he chose the card beside Teller's card for Penn. That strongly suggested a pre-made order in the deck. And his lack of skill suggested that that sleight of hand was not involved so it had to be set up in advance.
But I guess that wasn't the point - it was a cute concept even if a layman like me could figure it out.
By far one of my favourite performances on fool us, such a neat trick!!
I seriously love this trick, just if you have an iPhone do not watch it like I did on speaker because Siri kept interrupting lol
This is beautiful, the never ending magic. Thank you Sir.
The real magic is how you got Teller to impersonate Siri
I've no idea why he glued his teeth together for this act.
First time I heard Teller talked O’my God that was awesome
What an amazing guy, how cool. His kid is so lucky to have him for a father, magic and creator of siri
Brilliant video , I got absolutely fooled , loved it , thanks
Wow, I love it! You seem such a peaceful, clever and also very humble guy. You may not have fooled them, but I'm really impressed. That was awesome!
Saw your inspirational, delightful and personally helpful interview with Jason Parker's channel !! Thank you for being you !!!
This was such fun to watch. Your son is lucky to have yous as his father.
This is great, I’m going to learn to speak like him so Siri can understand me!
Jeez, how humble he is.
What a wonderful performance! This definitely fits for the magic a genius would create. 🙌
The actual trick was to get teller to speak. Worked like a charm.
Loved the act !!! Super cool!
Wow man am jealous of ur cleverness and the way u enjoy ur life we need alot of people like u on this planet god bless u ❤
i actually enjoyed the chatter more than the trick. Especially when he kept his trick going through it.
This was so enjoyable to watch
It was just awesome, greetings from Poland from a fellow IT engineer!
thank u for this.. keep on the magic
Excellent finish. Had one more up you sleeve.
I didn't know Teller's voice could got that high!!
A wonderful routine that Siri would be proud of.
Great Performance
I don't like Apple company at all... But you sir are a legend. The performance was wonderful!
“Choose any card from the *shuffled* deck”
Smooth.
Wow, apple has really upped its advertising game
That was very cool!
Great act 🙏
What an amazing performance. 🥰
Excellent!
good to see adam cheyer loves and practises magic.
Wow!
You actually won by getting teller to talk! Best prize of all!!!
Lovely
Holy shit I can't believe Teller did that lol
It was a real treat! I think the hiding it, and it being a made-up voice as a character, is what allowed Teller to break the "rule."
Wonderful design on your effect. Congratulations. Just wondering if I could use it ? And how time consuming would it be to change the language, say to Finnish?
That was cool 📱
I laugh at the fact he says at the beginning of the audience 1:40 "Penn and Teller. You can be the ones I'm trying to impress" That's hilarious!
Only a programmer could think of something like that lol
not only think of it but be able to figure out the math to do it. I wouldn't have the brain power.
👏👏👏
Him: "Siri will be better"
Me: 😔
Great self working trick. Kids are going to love it. I was in my bed ready to sleep but after watching you I felt the urge to grab a deck and spent an hour finding the deck order for it to work. Now I just need to find the best words in Portuguese with 5 and 6 or 6 and 7 letters.
WOW it is incredible and amazing trick 👍👍👍👍👍
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”
Fooled me.... 🏆
Bravo 👏
That was funny and impressive
JIMMY (From South Park): "That's an ad!"
He should've used his deadpan voice for Siri. I would get a kick out of saying hey siri, and he's like huh 😏
That's an Excellent maths Trick! Does it work with any number you choose ? ... I've found so many myself just with the #9
that was very entertaining apart from the fact dude had his product in everyone's pocket
He’s got a quirky way of speaking interesting.
love you lots lilly. :)
Always remember this....If Siri and Alexa are continuously listening for their names, they are listening to everything.
Siri and Alexa continuously listen for their names locally on the device (phone, speaker), but they are only trying to identify their own name. Only once they have recognized that do they try to interpret the rest of what they are hearing. So in essence, while they might hear everything, they only "pay attention" and listen and interpret after their own name is recognized. Audio that is not interpreted isn't saved, isn't sent anywhere off the device, it just vanishes into the ether...
Loved this!❤ ✿❧🌿❧✿ ❤
the first prototype of siri is a deck of cards
The top asked question is “call mom”
I bet you didn't even have to audition ♥
Ughhh teller's voice caught me unprepared
A W E S O M E !!!!
He gets Telller to randomly pull a card then HE pulls a card for Penn....then he says the card is a red 3 when in actual fact its a black 3.....needs polishing up..!!
Brilliant, but when ‘function’ will suffice why does it have to become a ‘functionality’?
Geek magic!!!!!!
Why does it sound like his mouth is wired shut ???
..
His niece is a better performer
No kidding! See her performance here: czcams.com/video/k70YlYaaWpQ/video.html
@@acheyer1 thanks for inventing Siri bro. Love the recent developments in AI.
Spelt colour wrong
he’s probably american, so no
There are two pronunciation in English. He used American one
And you spelled Spelled wrong
@@sultanalmarzooqi9159 So I suppose that the word “slept” also doesn’t exist?! If you must know, the suffix “lt” - as opposed to “ed” is used as the past participle when writing with the perfect form. Though the above doesn’t contain the helping verb “been”, the word “spelt” does exist. I would also suggest that if you’re going to be pedantic, you could try and remove your incorrect capitalisation and use full stops!
This is clearly a shill.
He's good... But I have to say it.... Hmmmm Siri v Google? Siri cant touch Google's AI assistant... Even after all these years... 🤔😏
Well, the part where he compares Siri to Google didn't age well. Siri turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment compared to Google assistant.
not really impressed.
not impressed. Siri creator and this is your best? If this was some beginner or not so rich magician, it would be quite impressive, but cmon?
If I had funds, I'd come up with something that has never been seen before. How about some hybrid cards, that actually have what he mentioned .. buttons. Can easily be done. I'd design my own cards with touch screen, but I'd design it in a way that you can't tell it's not normal card even if you're holding it.
Or another idea, would be rubic's cube with "AI" in it, that knows its own position and can always solve itself of take any pattern on request.
I go by the saying that "Magic is just a word we use to describe science we don't yet understand", so I'd be doing REAL magic. I have so many ideas ... but no funds to make any of it happen.
Gimmicked cards are far less magical than being skillful enough to do it with normal cards
Magic is not about describing science that we do not understand. Magic is not about any description at all. For magic to work, on the other hand, we need to understand things very well, such as the fact that it is not possible to cut a person in two halves and reconnect them quickly. Magic conveys the illusion that it is possible. Therefore, magic is performed with things that everyone knows intimately, but they are surprised by the new "properties" that the magician "lends" to them.
If you use electronics that we all know what it allows, surprises don't happen - magic doesn't happen because it's not real. Electronic Rubik's cubes were already there, as well as the era of displays, etc. All this has long since left magic. That is why it is very difficult to invent something new. I'm not saying the magician was perfect with his confused story and fickle camera, but he tried something new, even though the audience didn't understand what was going on. Effort and originality are valued.
IrlRosie does the best Siri impressions. Cool trick too.
