- The smallest 7 segment display counter (maybe).
Looks like 3X8X8 or 3X8X9 are possible too but I don't like 3 wide design because it's not tileable.
I added the reset button because there was some space left...

Ooooi 1.11 is helping you make magic again :D
"I added the reset button because there was some space left" LOL take it easy xD
XD
Great design! Now make one that can count up and down! Never seen one actually.
I'm thinking about how to use this system in my survival 'cause this is too amazing, nice work Peter!
Wow! I've never seen a counter that small, let alone a seven-segment display. Nice work!
Excellent design! Wow! SAVED
wow, this is amazing! it's really sad how you don't get as many views as you deserve
has anyone else noticed that peters music preferences/tastes are changing alot? xD
Tutorial?
Amazing as always.
Holy sh!t that is amazingly tiny
Nice work peter
Simply amazing!
I'm in console so.... I WAN'T THIS FUCKING OBSERVER BLOCK! A loads of posibilities of Redstone contraptions. AMAZING!
haha brilliant! I was trying to make a smaller one, but you beat me! haha
This is SO PRO!
OMG!!!! AWESOME!!!!!
Ur insane!
dam that is super compact i still wonder how did get that reset button in that size
To get it to work at all in that size is impressive, but I don't know how you managed to make a reset in the same space
I love to see all the moving parts. It will probably be noisy though :p
nice
Wow, can't imagine how did you fit the reset mechanism in there. I have never used any counters that use cauldrons myself, but I remember Etho and Doc making a reset for one, and it was twice the the size of the counter.
Alexander Prokhorov I believe it was this version before he compacted it again with the observer that doc and etho made a reset for. The bridge was across the back and the observer gave him the space to move it up top. Atleast that's how I remember it, not positive tho...But that and a lot of other compacting has made this unbelievably tiny , and it still looks pretty stable.. very nice
Because they did circuit wrong, the proper way is rotating the piston tape to 9999 and add 1. This design only needs one clock.
BTW, can you add another segment to make it 5+ digit?
You mean you first disconnect the carry, then let it loop to 9999, then connect the carry again and add 1?
Please please please make a tutorial on this! I have been trying really hard to create a two digit version and have driven myself mad trying to figure it out. Please! ;n;
Would it be possible to have some sort of binary input?
Amazing work. It would be awesome if you would describe your steps and though process when you figure out the piston tapes. I notice that you have observer blocks in your tape- what function do they perform? Are they necessary in the reset?
Piston tape sequence: docs.google.com/document/d/1msz7ufnv3JmO8e-KoM5pv2o3PY6BdeciOGnEAxI6p7A/edit?usp=sharing
Your use of observers within the tape to trigger the next counter and complete the reset is amazing.
In regards to the piston tape. After trying unsuccessfully to figure out a system (mini builds, graph paper, etc) where I could just build the tape I finally resorted to making the tape with full cauldrons and then constructing a number (0), advancing the tape and then constructing another number (1) and so forth. After 20 minutes and 2 full revolutions I had a working piston tape. I think the mini builds helped me visualize what lines needed to be activated when, and graphing it helped me understand where and when tape was interacting with the line in the rotation (9,8,0),(8,0,1),(0,1,2),(1,2,3).... Really neat system
can you make this contraption count down ?
Are these cauldrons you make are same as the older versions of this redstone machine?
Wow
WHAT!!
Can you do a tutorial ? Thanks !
how? there are only three fee tapes per Segment . you need at least seven . incredible
Can I make a tutorial on it?
會有教學影片嗎?
This is small enough for a Tutorial! pls do one :)
I guess you win redstone. gg
Mumbo should see this 😂
Lucas Boute mumbo sucks ass as RS
What happens if you go over 9999?

TUTORIAL!!!
Does it work for MCPE ?
I transformed the design a little bit but the reset don't work perfectly.

Please use the vanilla textures, cause right now i am not sure what each block is, especially those grey blocks with the arrows on them, what are they??
those are the new observer blocks
*****
oh right yeah. still, it would be smart to use vanilla textures, no confusion ;)
This is why I seldom use vanilla texture in my redstone video. The Observer block side texture is really bad. bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-108915
4 wide lol
Who is watching in 2017? (Sorry. I had to.)
Seriously though, I love it. Tutorial please!
