Cheers Will. I have the R12 being delivered today with the new wheel released with it. Once again you make the installing process of any sim equipment easy and simple to enjoy out of the box. Love your work.
Excellent Will! Glad Moza picked you to do these setup tutorials. Really helps with the gaming experience..
Man im loving my R9 and GS wheel, this is exactly what i needed to just tweak the last little settings, really helpful thanks Wil
New to sim racing with a wheel. So I just got my first wheel. The R5. Anyways, thank you for showing us and me to understand what we are changing and what it does. This is making my experience a lot better. Love the channel.
As a new starting simracer i am glad this vid exists, thank you😊
This is so incredibly helpful I can’t thank you enough will 🙏
Thanks will this is a good send got my moza r9 and gs wheel hooked up beautifully now 👍
Ty for the informative video! However, it might be a outdated in the way how ACC works, idk. I run the Moza R12 wheelbase, and i found out after a few hours of messing around that the CORRECT way to set the raw force of the FFB while keeping detail AND not reaching clipping ingame is to set the wheelbase force settings to 100% in both maximun output and game ffb force. Then use the ingame Gain slider to adjust your final feeling in the wheel, this made me reach much much better results and avoid clipping. In the end i ended up with about 65-70% ingame FFB GAIN to get the feeling i wanted, preserve detail, no clipping and still waaay more force than i could reach with 90% ingame GAIN setting and then messing around with the moza pit house FFB strenght settings.
Current version of ACC that im doing this on is V. 1.9.8
Wow , these settings has changed my sim experience 180 degrees ❤
This content is great for MOZA costumers. You guys should have FFB guides for every sim out there!
Huge improvement over my previous settings.
Thank you! I will try these settings.
Genius video! Thanks a lot! 👍🏼
Excellent settings for R5 wheelbase, I can feel everything I need to. I would highly recommend them
Does ur wheel base not get super hot at 100%?
Great explanation of the functions of the Pithouse software. Now I can use them for dialing in the rF2 settings. They say the FFB is great, but I haven't felt it yet.
straight to the point, thx !
Thanks Will! Would be great if Moza has a list of Moza influencers presets available on a dedicated support topic for us to download and use
Another great video, particularly for very lazy people like me! I have the R9 and GS along with the SRP pedals. I feel like I am not getting the most out of the brakes as the pedal has so much travel. Do you know if Moza do any upgrade kits to help with this or is it a DIY fix in your opinion? I'm doing average lap times but it feel like a real life car where the brakes need bleeding!
this is awesome. I just got these same products!
bombastic awesome I'm all set for my R5 experience when it gets here ...
definitely getting a moza wheelbase whenever i can afford one!
After 10months, can now?
Great video, thanks for the time you put in to explain these settings.
I noticed that the display on the steering wheel is acting weird and has lag, did you try to talk with moza and see what they have to say about this?
I have the same issue and i've been fighting for almost 2 months to find a solution and i think i may find it but i'm still testing it.
Moza customer support was no help and they just stop replying the emails.
Great setup
You don't know just how timely this is for me, my MOZA R9 and FSB just arrived last week, and as soon as I have time to reconfigure my cockpit, ACC is my 1st Drive. I just installed it recently and have been burning laps with my G920 as a send off before I upgrade, and to Feed that Need for some wheel time before I go into engineering mode.
Moza fsb?
Thanks so much for this! Will you be doing one for rfactor 2?
Hi, thank you for your tips on setting up the Moza wheel base, I have thr Moza R5 and am using it with the hub , unfortunately after I have renewed my PC , with the said settings am not getting any force feedback of any sort, not sure why although I used all the settings stated. Any idea as to what could be wrong. Thanks.
Just received my R5 today and coming from the T300 by thrustmaster and all I have to say is wow! I previously had the DD1 and sold it. It was just too much FBB that wasn't being used. I was undecided on this wheel or the Fanatec DD, but decided on this one due to the pricing of the Eco System. The upgrades are just priced better. I'm not using the pedals yet because i'm waiting to get the brake mod which sadly was out of stock. ( If you'd like to send me one Moza that be nice!! hint hint ) I'm using my Thrustmaster TLCM pedals. Back to the wheel. I'm running the ES and its mounted to the TrakRacer T80 and mounts just fine! The connection of the wheel is amazing so much smoother than fanatec and I had the quick release. This one is far better easy on and easy off.
Regarding this video, I've been following boosted for quite some time and his videos are great and this one is no exception. The default settings are ok but using his and this wheel comes to life. Anyone who tells you that you won't see a difference going from T300 to R5 is wrong. I ran 90 percent FBB on my T300 and never felt good enough or strong enough. You feel everything with this wheel and the sense of imersion is fantastic.
Moza you have a great product packaged great and for the money you can't beat it! I ordered my wheel through your distributor Advanced Sim Racing 2 days ago. I'm in the U.S and they are in Canada. My wheel got here today with free shipping I mean wow just overall happy with this purchase and the company so far.
Thanks for making those tutorials ! For a beginner like me, this is very useful because I don’t know what I should feel initially (even though yes, I get the point of personalizing it to our liking).
Though I have a problem about « clipping » : I don’t understand how to know when it is present. Is it a feeling or a number indicated somewhere? For ex, in F1 22 with R5, I have some weird feelings sometimes and I don’t know if it could clipping.
Towards the end of the video, he discusses clipping and shows the little force feedback meter in the HUD. What he didn't tell you is the meter goes red when it's clipping the signal...
Brand new to DD froma Logitech G27. I bought the R5 bundle and WOW what a difference, however I have a problem. The wheel oscillates at low speed, how do I get id of that?
What button do you have mapped for Pitstop, and what controls to change values in it (left, right,up,down)?
Super, thanks for that. I know you've done a video for iRacing previously, so any plans to update this due to recent software updates?
Glad to hear that you found our video helpful! We're actually planning to release updated tutorials for various games, in the coming weeks, so be sure to stay tuned and subscribe to our channel for updates.😁
If you are clipping the FF in the sim, which specific setting would you reduce? The in-game FF setting, or one within the wheel software?

Hi, this was a response to this specific AAC video - at the end he mentions the FF might clip, but doesn't explain which setting should be changed to address this.
@@mhgbuYeah you're talking to copy and paste bot. Someone suggested decreasing the in game FFB gain to 67%.
I've tried these settings now and have to say I really dont like them, even with a lower FFB the car feels too much on rails, almost like there is an assist in your wheel while turning. at the chicanes its such a slow response to get the car turning from one side to the other the car has always too much strenght like a bus, its much easier to balance the car but feels too much like the car is driving you instead of the other way around.
Id say to lower the natural inertia to 0 and in advanced settings lower wheel friction and speed dependent damping all to 0 as well
Yeah. I've tried his suggested setting for iracing and there was also a lot of wheel friction and dampening. I prefer more "pure" FFB with inertia and dampening as low as possible, then it easier to recognize what FFB telling you.
Puting natural inertia, wheel friction, speed damping to 0 feels way better
Lol i have consta clipping in this setup, especially in long or very fast corners (like blanchimon bruxellesm puyhon in spa) even though i have gain at 80% in game
Thanks for the video. I just received my R9 v2 base with ES wheel but it's oscilating like crazy. Even with lower FFB settings and dampening increased. Any ideas? Thanks
Same here, would be nice to see if someone replies :)
@@Photographiecp I've been playing around in Moza pithouse in the evening and under the advanced FFB settings I increased "natural inertia" and "wheel friction". Oscilation is complete gone now. Hope it works for you also!
@@markdomenie5453 thx mate! Been playing around with the setting and yes, increasing inertia to 300% and wheel friction to 60 works good. Also found out that decreasing road strength or deacreasing body in eq helps with oscillation/wobbling. Porsche also tend to be higher in this as a lambo (for instance).
But also seems like that dampening makes it worse instead of dampening anything.
i mad this exact ettings for the R9 but i am experincing weird things. hard vibrations when goin on straigth and when at super low speed
and can't figure out how to solve....
And also if i leave the wheel like you did at the end of the video it starts shaking like crazy
Hi Will, this is extremely helpful, thank you. Could you please do a Moza video for Le Mans Ultimate, as I could not seem to get the Moza pit house and in game settings right? Much appreciated!!! Great stuff!
Appreciate you taking the time to make that suggestion, we'll look into creating more to help.
@@MOZARacing thank you
Where do I find the force feed back clipping meter? How do I pull it up onto my screen so I can check if my wheel is clipping ?
Thanks in advance. Cheers guys.
I have moza r12 base and pedals and in aseto corsa competizione dont see wheel just pedal... any sugestion
I'm an absolute beginner but...what about buttons mapping for AC and ACC? Thanks
These are incredibly helpful! Perhaps I'm a dummy but how does one setup and use all the controls on these fancy wheels? Buttons I get but dials etc... wondering how people set these up? Keep up the awesome vids!
All done in game. Set them up however you like. Everyone is different.
My R9 shakes rapidly on the straights with these exact settings on ACC. Any advice ?
How does this work with the steering lock for seperate cars? Does ACC adjust depending what car you drive or do you have to adjust it manually?
@@OG_Gamers_Live great thanks. I guess it's best to set the steering lock for each car if you want 1:1 experience?
Cheers Will. Slight tweak with the R5, as the FF maxes out a lot on Nurburgring especially. I've had to turn the in-game gain down to 67% from your recommended 90%. Only then do I stay just within the constant clipping range.
Thanks for the heads up.
man i had to do this too but the wheel feels like shit at that low ffb
@@beasley_unborn6729 Since figuring out 67% was the zero FF clipping zone, I run it on about 80% these days for about as optimum as I can get without losing too much. Certain tracks on ACC cause more FF clipping than others and might need adjusting.
MY moza r12, fsr formula view and crp pedals dont work in aseeta corsa competizione, just see crp pedals.. any suggestions?
Thank you very much for a fantastic video :-)
Can I also ask a question?
You/you are clearly communicating with Moza Racing, how is it possible that Moza Racing do not understand simple questions in English?
I have asked a very simple question three different ways with no luck, they answer something completely different from what I am asking.
Have you had the same problem?
And how did you solve it?
It's unbelievable that such a large player is so bad at communication.

when is there a setting update for ACC 1.9? because clipping in all directions ....
What about the specific steering lock for each car? Or is 540 for detail purposes?
Set both Moza Pit House 'Maximum steering angle' to 900° and in game 'Steer look' to also 900° and the game will automatically apply the correct soft-lock for every car. Since 900° is greater than the rotation limit of any car in the game, the soft-lock works flawlessly .
Hi, I used your settings and my R9 is oscillating a lot. Changing the dumping settings either in Pit House or in the game does not help. Regardless if car speed is low or high, the wheel keeps vibrating and it puts it into aggressive oscillation if I take my hands of the wheel. It's tha same in both AMS2 and ACC. Is this normal?
i have the same issue, have you solved anywayw?
@@snv272 Apparently, the Body Bumps setting is responsible for oscillations. Put it 0% and oscillations stop, put 20% and they appear on higher speeds only.
Is this setup still actuall? because i did everything as you say in video and base is consta clipping with this setup, especially in corners and long corners (like blanchimont, bruxelles, puyhon in spa and similar) i even have a gain on 80% in game. Thanks!

just got my R5 bundle I use it on iracing mostly dirt racing. Coming from using a logitech G923 this thing makes that feel like a toy. Highly recomend getting the R5 bundle if you use the logitechs. And at 600 bucks you cant beat it.........yet
Is there a reason you set wheel rotation to 540? Everywhere else says to use 900 or set it to the cars actual wheel rotation
if you set it to 900 it adapts automatic to the car degrees, as far as i know
@@franvmm that's what I do. Don't get where he's pulled 540 from for all cars
That's wrong on Will's part. Not sure where he got that number.
@@OG_Gamers_Live That's the wrong way to do it yes. You either match every car perfectly which isna pain or you use a value greater than or equal to the largest Steering rotation in game. In ACC that's 900. You can also use 1080 or whatever. As long as it's bigger than 900
@@OG_Gamers_Live @OG_Gamers_Live Aris specifically says, on more than one occasion, to set it to 900 and every car automatically adjusts. You either do it per car; or you leave it at 900, 540 is incorrect! I don't understand why you're replying to every comment with wrong info.
May i ask, I use 360 for Formula, 540 for GT and 900-1080 for rally, on rotation in pithouse. Is this correct, or am i totally missing the point?
You should set it 900 in ACC specifically so that every car matches correctly. Every car has different steering rotation
@@FEVB So I should keep it 900 in pithouse and change it in game to fit what car aim driving? i race in iracing mostly.
@@steam-SMOKEY no, 900° in Pit House and 900° in ACC. ACC adjusts the rotation automatically per car, no car has more steering lock than that.

Why would you use 540 steering ratio? It depends on the car - only the 912 cup car used 540 steering ratio. Or is it just the moza software that is broken?
He's wrong, you should use 900 in ACC
@@OG_Gamers_Live He literally is. Using 540 will give you the wrong steering rotation for every car that has a higher lock than 540. Nissan, Lambo, Audi and Porsche for example.
@@OG_Gamers_Live So yes just tried it. Setting 540 in cars with higher locks completely messes up the Steering rotation. Really apparent in the 911

I tried Moza R5 with BeamNG and I don't like it because the steering artificially stiffens up when taking a corner, so I cannot make fine adjustments (the steering is simply too heavy).
Also when the rear-end of the car slides I cannot catch it because the steering instead of getting lighter, gets heavy again (I assume it should be the opposite because I am losing traction).
TBH I don't know if this is the wheel's fault, or the sim's fault, but I am returning my R5 gear, unless somebody helps me.
that's because cars in BeamNG don't come with powersteering. Turn on powersteering in the modify car menu
@@callmeJAF Thanks, but I already returned the wheel, and continue using my Gladiator PRO Mk2 joystick, which serves me well, because it has all-metal components, and I screwed it to my desk permanently for max precision and comfort.

If my car just crash and then wheel starts just roll left and right it can damage small childrens hands how to reduce that? which setting is responsible
Hoi Nitin,Turn on Hands-off protection in advanced settings in de pithouse. Greetings.
For a child don't use 100% force, just use 50% or less for protection.
My r12 is max out clip in ACC... Pithouse FFB is 100% and in ACC is 70%! maybe someone has a idea. Firmware is the newest, i reset the Base and calibrate, i try all these things but in every corner is max out clipping...
To anyone that would to understand what clipping means or would like to fix it. "clipping" refers to a situation where the input from the racing wheel exceeds the maximum range or capacity of the simulator or game. This can result in the loss of valuable information and nuances in the force feedback or steering effects, leading to a less realistic and enjoyable experience.
Clipping typically occurs when the racing wheel's force feedback strength or steering rotation settings are set too high, causing the simulator or game to truncate or "clip" the output beyond its limits. As a result, the simulator or game cannot accurately reproduce the full range of forces or steering effects that the wheel is capable of producing.
When clipping occurs, you may experience a loss of detail and subtlety in the force feedback effects. For example, you might not feel the nuances of tire grip or surface texture, or the effects of weight transfer during cornering may not be properly conveyed. Similarly, in terms of steering, the wheel may feel less precise, and small adjustments or inputs may not be accurately translated.
To address clipping and achieve optimal performance, it is recommended to adjust the force feedback and steering settings within the simulator or game. Finding the right balance will vary depending on the specific wheel, simulator, and personal preference. By fine-tuning these settings, you can ensure that the force feedback and steering effects are within the simulator's range, allowing for a more realistic and immersive racing experience with your wheel simulator.
Thanks dude : I copied every single setting shown on the video but I personnaly experiment those clipping problem. Any idea of which parameter I should be working on first ?
im clipping so much with the moza r5 no matter what settings i use man unless i drop it down to like 65 percent but then at that low percent playing feels like shit
What does "poe" mean in Mozas presets ?
POE to me means Power Over Ethernet. Not sure what it means in Pit House.
@@chimp2k2
Not sure what it means in Pit house either, seems an inferior setting to "official"
Where is this in Pit House? (I have not yet watched this video fully)
Not even 2 minutes into the video and the information is already wrong. Specifically in ACC you should use 900 degrees of steering rotation and set that to match in game. The game will then soft lock the rotation to whatever car you are driving as many of the cars in ACC use different steering rotations. If you use 540 like is suggested in this video and then use a car like the Aston Martin V8 then you physical wheel will not match up with the wheel in game. This advice also completely ignores an amazing feature of the Moza pithouse software. If you go to your wheel base settings under the basic tab you will once again find the maximum steering rotation setting. Under this setting you'll see a toggle for "Synchronous". Turn this off. Take the bottom slider and leave it at 900. That slider communicates with ACC and as I said before it will sync with the game so you can drive whatever car you want without having to change the steering angle in pithouse and ACC. Then take the top slider and move it to whatever you want. 360, 420, 540, or 1080 it doesn't matter. That will part a hard lock on your wheel and set where the bumpstop will kick in. So you get the best of both worlds you wheel matches up to the wheel in game and you don't have to worry about all that extra wheel rotation.
@@OG_Gamers_Live Aris specifically says, on more than one occasion, to set it to 900 and every car automatically adjusts. You either do it per car; or you leave it at 900, 540 is incorrect! I don't understand why you're replying to every comment with wrong info.
@@OG_Gamers_Live imagine just for a moment that Aris doesn't understand something as simple and basic as the max steering rotation. Imagine that he has created specific videos about FFB and willing tells everyone false information about the game he himself programs. Congratulations now you see how ridiculous you sound.
Look if you only ever drive one car and never plan to try any other then by all means set the rotation to what that car uses, but don't go here saying that everyone must do that. It's a blatant falsehood.
@@OG_Gamers_Live got set you lock to 480 for the McLaren or Ferrari and then try to drive any other GT3 and get back to me.
@@OG_Gamers_Live you can like something based on a subjective opinion all you want. That doesn't make it true. Your steering won't match up and that's how people have issue. The larger the difference between the two values the more noticeable it is.
@@OG_Gamers_Live you're quite literally the only person in this comment section who thinks this way. Get your head out of the sand man.

900 degrees should be the steering rotation used in ACC to make every car match correctly not 540.
Try to take a chicane with 900 degrees steering rotation... I would really look at it :) Like the first chicane on Monza.
@@xaba_simracing Been driving 900 while league racing without any issues. It matches to every car's rotation automatically.
900 I’m game and in moza software automatically matches it so yes however in acc this has no soft limit of rotation which is why matching it to the specific car can be better so it is locked at the required rotation.
