It is great to watch someone tread where I am going with one exception. I'll be using fractional wrenches as opposed to Metric wrenches.
I broke down and bought a new tool box with a set of "fractional~standard" sockets lol thanks for watching
Brian, video showed some bolts i never knew were there. Thousand thanks for the video.. Just finally freed up my Front manual Drums for the shoes and pulled them off..Cant wait for the next episode.
Glad it helped, if you have any questions let me know.
@@ArrowheadGarage Thanks, will do.
The two missing brackets hold the iner wheel well on hope that helps. This video must be before John helped fix the sail pannels and roof can't wait to see the whole bird done🙂
the best way to pull the fender is pull the wheel well still attached to the fender . he struggles with it for idk how long !
That bracket on each side low near firewall is for the rubber water dirt shields that bolt there.
MTZ, I am going to have to do some research, I have no clue about the rubber water dirt shields... so many parts missing! Thanks for the tip!!!!
@@ArrowheadGarage its a little metal brack with rubber attached that fills a gap between inner fenderwell, firewall and frame to keep water from splashing into engine compartment. Not really super crucial IMO
The 1967 firebird did have factory chrome bottom strips. Not sure if the ones you have original. As for Pontiac engines are concerned, the Pontiac 389, 400, 455 are same Pontiac small block. They just have been bored out by Pontiac get larger displacement.
Thank you Ronald for the info on the chrome bottom strips! I like them and think I will get a new set for this ole Bird!
You should be able to disconnect the wiring harness from the firewall.
Can this be done on one with a wide body kit on it ? I have a 78
After doing this, do,you think it is possible to remove the inner fender well without removing the fender?
I think you can remove the inner fender liner, few bolts on fender then the few bolts on the fender brace.
What are your thoughts on the Power plant. Sticking with the Chevy or going back to Pontiac.
If I can find a 400 I would be happy… for now I am going to rebuild the 350 and if needed put it off in the corner for another project!!!!! Shhhhh
lol.. stop texting so loud..
Do you have to take off the front bumper and headlights to remove the fenders?
You might be able to, but it would be a job getting those front two fender bolts out.
@@ArrowheadGarage how is your fenders? Did you do the kitchen magnet test? Mine has bondo at the bottom right over the chrome panel. Also yes that chrome is factory actually
Some people just go chrome delete fenders bumpers and trim. Its all what you like
Fenders have NO Bondo... MIND BLOWN but the driver side fender was replaced at some time with a factory replacement unit.
I think am going to keep all that chrome, my brother was really really really into chrome lol
Power disc brakes and AC nice ! 455 ready ! naw 428 ?
A 400 would be perfect 🤩
Absolutely 💪👍
that car had factory AC on it .
Yes it did, going with an aftermarket AC system soon.
