Hello there
Aye love your channel, crazy seeing you here traveler
My guy
No, he's too old now. He's dead and left us with epic memories. Legendary.
love your channel
Hugh: so if Disney buys fox I can come back?
Disney: You never left
looool.... The Real Mafia! lol.... Great point.
I would die
Disney: "... and you never will..."
@@shizzlenizzle Disney: 😈
I thought they gave it to Devito already
Is he aging backwards?
I was thinking the same thing!
do hollywood people eat babies ?
Me too i was thinking the same I'm afraid if he would never tell them that he want to change
Lol, yes!!! Haven't you seen xmen? Wolverine doesn't age!!! Duh!
He has Benjamin Buttons syndrome.
He needs to send Russell Crowe a box of cigars for the money he has made as Wolverine
Kevin Lewis and a big barrel of whiskey 🥃
Or tell Crow now it's your turn to be Wolverine!
Cubans to be exact.
@@kinghulk4142 Henry Cavill needs to do thank him too
I heard Dougray Scott chose MI2 over the role of Wolverine, he was the first choice, what a dumbass.
I think Russell would fit that comic-book type Wolverine, the short and beefy guy. But thank you, Russell, for recommending Hugh...
I think Crowe would have been okay for a few movies, but he wouldn't have been able to do the character long. He hasn't aged particularly well and, frankly, has let himself go for awhile now. He was never going to be able to keep up with the work out regimen to keep the physique like Jackman has done. Yes, Jackman is about 6 years younger, but he looks far better right now than Crowe did at 50.
But he is tall
Well Russel would have to be like 5’3 to be the comic book type wolverine lol. But he does seem beefy.
Before venom film released I could (and still) see Tom Hardy
Dougary Scott was cast as Wolverine first, but his commitments to Mission Impossible 2 got in the way, so Dougary left the film project.
@2:26 “My cocaine is the best.” -Hugh Jackman, 2019
Michael Karayan 😂😂😂
And he said it like my cocaine was saying it.
Lmfaooooi
😂😂😂
lol
Brilliant interview.
Actually giving the star a chance to talk.
Hugh Jackman has such a down to earth personality..
Disney "hey we will give you 100 million dollars to play wolverine in the next avenger's movie" Hugh Jackman "so Howard remember that conversation we had"
For 100 million I think Hugh would fuck Mickey Mouse in the next movie.
Disney Offered Hugh Jackman 100 Million Dollars to come back as Wolverine? I doubt he will come back unless he's lying and he will Return.
@@volzman2172 lmao
10 million would probably do it as well
volz man 💀
When Robin mentions how sean connery came back to 007, Hugh acts as if its a completely new concept. He actually seemed to have changed his mind...
The look on his face was like “wait you can do that?”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
To be honest I've never seen Never Say Never Again.
She might have Been talking about never say never.Where Sean Connery was forced back into bond due to some old contact he signed.
It’s not a great example because Diamonds Are Forever ended up being one of the worst Bond films ever made. Lazenby’s movie before was much better.
Would’ve been insane if he was in endgame
Jon Luisi I was thinking the same I was hoping for a cameo but of course I’m left high and dry and the new generation of x men movies just aren’t the same without wolverine it blows
Right? I had a feeling he was going to have a small part, maybe a few others too, in Endgame. Guess they did the ol trickaroo on a site i came across, lol. Ya know, those pictures they do.
Really hope he comes back as Wolverine, he is just so terrific in that role and as an actor. Kudos, Hugh, whatever you decide.
I know!!!!!! But if he shows up in the future with Secret Wars tho...
I was hoping. He could have done 30 seconds and made people happy.
That would have been lame and would of made no sense.
The Prestige...a movie that needs to seen 3 times. Wolverine was great though.
Dude for real. If I’m browsing channels and it pops up, I have to watch it, even if I saw the whole thing a week prior. It’s just so good.
Justin Sane great movie
Great movie
That movie has layers.
The Prestige - when the audience witnessed Batman facing Wolverine and seeing Alfred's early military life as a double agent.
Wolverine can't be replaced
Never
He'll back
In secret wars would be perfect....
They've already replaced him. No one tells Disney what do , NOBODY
Well considering that Hugh wasn't the most comic accurate, Marvel Studios can always go down a different path and five us an equally as valid Wolverine.
Hugh was great, but...
I hope the next guy is shorter.
V-Way get over it. You think people weren’t saying the same shit about Christopher Reeve or Michael Ketaton?
What Hugh does when he comes out of the elevator in the first Xmen, and he's all animalistic and he's hiding from everyone, that is my favorite thing he's done as wolverine. It was just so perfect for the character.
VALENTINEproductions my favorite scene is when he says “what do they call you? Wheels?”
2:39I know hes looking at Hugh Jackman when he said "are you okay" but I'm pretty sure he was asking me if I was okay and the answer is no, no I'm not Howard
But he didn't care if you were okay or not
Lmao "there's no such thing" when he's told he is a wolverine. Priceless, love this guy lol.
"Logan" was an awesome movie.
I’ve only now discovered the cool and sweet Hugh Jackman is! After watching The Front Runner on television recently. I can’t believe I didn’t know much about him except seeing him in Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman at the theatre’s. So talented and passionate about what he does and yet so level headed. Am a recent fan.
Hugh is amazing. What a great person.
Robin: "There's a clause, no pun intended."
Hey Bub...
I think we all need to thank Russel Crowe for handing the part to the perfect actor for it.
Such a humble person. He deserves every good thing he has gotten. Respect.
I remember when Hugh was on Howard's show promoting XMen Origins: Wolverine 9 years ago. Awesome interview.
"Nothing is over!" - Rambo
"Nothing is impossible!" - Shia LaBeouf
That look of Hugh Jackman face when he asked is it over for wolverine
I give thanks to Stan Lee... Wolverine has always and will always be my favorite Marvel Super Hero. Many thanks to Hugh for bringing the character to life as well.
If marvel needs Wolverine - he needs to do it. He’s a good dude and can’t imagine another weapon X. Just like downy and tony stark.
What about Wade and Reynolds?
@@rrrlovebuddy yes.
Stan Lee you forever be a legend!!!!! made my childhood soo creative, RIP to a legend
*"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."*
You better come back as Wolverine dammit u were n r the best damn Wolverine ever Mr Jackman!!
Really? Wasn't he the only Wolverine ever? Don't you need another to make a statement like that?
gronagor cartoons and video games
gronagor so it still makes him the best ever...
You want him to run it into the ground? How old can he be playing wolverine, you know the mutant that doesn't age?
@@gronagor it's the same with tony stark/RDJ and deadpool/ryan reynolds. they don't need another to make that statement. it's all downhill after them.
The role was originally meant to be given to,
Dougray Scott but because of filming conflicts, while shooting Mission Impossible II, The studio had to decline.
There is still chance!!! Yessss.. that's all I needed.....
Hugh Jackman should comeback for the MCU Secret Wars. He was born for the Wolverine role just like RDJ was for Iron Man.
Disney originally wanted Tom Cruise for Iron Man
Disney didn’t even own marvel studios at that time when iron man came out
@@CavemanJesus4Life That sounds like the darkest timeline.
What a freaking Legend! #Beast of an actor! No one could this Role better than this man.
I like his thinking, always leave while there's something left in the Tank. Epic.
He’s the best. Makes me even more proud to be Australian.
Hugh is very underrated as an actor
He is so funny and down to earth. Hugh Jackman is the best!
Holy shit!
U already put it up on line?!
Awesome!
You guys are on the ball! Good job.
Please change your mind Hugh!
The world needs Wolverine!
And so do the Avengers
Lmao
Hugh will always be Wolverine. I can see his perspective but as a fan, its hard to see him go. Alot of people pointed out how much effort went into his roles and how long he had to keep them up and if im being completely honest, its the last thing i think about when thinking i want him to stay and keep doing it. I tend to forget the build up that led to the awesome act he puts on screen. Hopefully he will at least be a consultant or something for the next actor. BIG BIG shoes to fill.
subbed and waiting for Hugh's return interview
This guy seems so down to earth and nice
Its just sad that Hugh never made it into the MCU. My god Jackman IS Wolverine
I can't picture anyone else playing the part. He was absolutely perfect for the role.
Amazing advice in this interview.
my fav actor of all time
I think he'll come back. All the actors in Infinity War said they were gone for good including Tom Hiddleston but now he's getting his own show. The whole alternative reality thing makes it easier for Marvel to bring back these characters.
He’s dropping it at the right time. He’s 50 now and is leaving on a high note. If the next Wolverine movie were to flop, Hollywood producers would think he lost his mojo and he won’t be in the same demand.
Down to earth dude and what a commitment to the role.
@Howard Stern, @Hugh Jackman GOD Bless You BOTH! ! ! Two (2) Of The GREATEST Entertainers EVER, Thank You
Love this guy, a genuine super good dude
Michael Caine: "What's the internet? I'll do it"
🤣😂🤣🤣🤣
It’s amazing how different Hugh Jackman is in person to how he is on screen when he plays Wolverine. I feel he’s the only person who plays a live action superhero better than RDJ (Iron Man). Even though he’s passed, Hugh Jackman will always be the Wolverine
1:13 honest to god lol-ing at that. Amazing 🤣
Hugh has to thank Dougray Scott more than Russell Crow. He was originally suppose to be wolverine. But he was shooting Mission Impossible 2 and production ran longer than expected. So he had to give up playing wolverine. Bet Scott is kicking himself everyday. Hugh, global superstar. Scott, not so much.
Rob M.
Ouch.
To be fair, scott probably wouldnt be this good wolwerline
@@marcelljambor2529 Anybody could have been Wolverine and Dougray looks closer to the comics than Hugh
I heard Dougray hurt his leg while filming M.I.2 maybe that,s why the production went into overtime. It's just as well though because he hasn't aged well in the last 18 years. Jackman still looks young, and wolverine ages slowly
So why should he thank doug scott? Its not like he gave it to him, he was busy
Glad to see Robin still on the show! Glad Hugh is Wolverine! Thanks Russel!
I believe the follow up to this interview is coming soon
Wolverine series was great. My other two absolute favorites of his was (even for a guy) Kate & Leopold and my fave all time was Prestige! Oh man I could watch those once a week for life!
Howard stern has one of the best on air personalities.
And for the record Sean Connery donated his entire paycheck (over 1.4 million) from Diamonds Are Forever to his favorite Scottish charity.
Always thought it was insane how the directors could see the wolverine potentiel in Hugh, the way he looked before and the way he acts i would never have guessed he could be a good wolverine back then. Huge props to russel crove for seeing that.
i REMEMBER him from the Oklahoma musical when it randomly came on PBS on night, i was so young thinking wow!
We still need that proper Wolverine Deadpool movie thing going!
The original cartoon of the x-men, wolverine had an Australian accent. 😂😂
blackstarafro2
Yes! When they cast Jackman for the role, that’s what I thought they were going for. 🤔
Holy shit.
It was meant to be a "Canadian" accent, I'm guessing.
Yeah, that was weird. I was a huge Uncanny X-Men fan back when it came out and I was pretty taken aback.
yeah not to mention, Russell Crowe is also Australian, and Dougray Scott is Scottish lol But I suppose in fairness, Crowe had already proven he could do a totally convincing basic American dialect, I can't remember back then if Scott had yet. It always cracks me up how hard Hugh Jackman is on himself about his American accent, because he does it flawlessly.
The video so positively satisfying
Hugh left us with the most legendary memories in Marvel history. Sorry, Robert Downey Jr, but Wolverine's death was like Titanic.
There will never be another Logan like Hugh..... What a legendary sendoff.
I really hope he comes back in some fashion when the MCU takes over the X-Men.
hugh seems like a real nice guy
Most aussies i know are.
And to think this was an unintentional. Legend
Great clip
Ive excepted that hes done with Wolvie. But my God, if marvel ever decides to build an animated universe like DC, they need to let him voice act as Wolverine.
Russel would be awesome wolverine but then again hugh is just perfect. Russel is such a nice guy. Love him.
At the time I think Russell was preparing for Gladiator, that's probably why he gave it up. Then again he has said he didn't want to do Superhero films.
when he said he might change his mind i was relieved
The one man to have not only lack of knowledge of the character but also lack of knowledge of the existence of the animal he’s named after... yet he will always be our Wolverine (other than the voice actor for Wolverine who is amazing!) amazing what talent can conjure up.
Yes, there’s still hope for Deadpool and Wolverine!
So Seinfeld ruined it for all of us
NEWMAN....
I think in the long run it's probably for the best. "Logan" really was about as much of a high note to end on as possible, in my opinion. If Hugh felt his wolverine days were over, I'm going to believe he knows better than anyone.
@@DizKord1600 That's why I hope Avengers 4 is great, and a final send off for Tony Stark and Steve Rogers (and maybe Chris Hemsworth or Mark Ruffalo).
I think that had Seinfeld not said that to him, he may still be playing wolverine right now or at least coming back when it crosses into the mcu
I never likes that jerry shofeild anyways god damnit!!
Sad day stan lee RIP. A genious what a imagination and a WW2 Vet. Thank you stan for making us all imagine what could be if we get bit by a spider
Howard Stern is a great interviewer.
H: it’s over wolverine?
H: yess
H: are you okay?
H: I’m good
We: cmmon, we’re not okay it’s FCKNG masterpiece, I was 6 years old when I watched first till now
10 movies
18 years
And y’all just gonna say it’s over
WELL DAMN IT
If you are 18 now than you did not grow up with the X-Men movies. You were about a 1 year old when the first movie came out 6 year old? Lol. Some one did not go to school. X2 was out in 2003' you were about 2 1/2 years old by the time that film came out. X3 2006 now about 5 years old. You probably are one those dumbasses who thinks Wolverine is the team leader. Read a comic, watch the old animated shows. Everything after 2000's is almost garbage. I'm glad Hugh is out.
Dougray Scott was originally cast in the role. It's only due to scheduling conflict with Mission Impossible that he had to pull out, forcing Singer to recast the role.
Its December 2020, still refreshing the Howard Stern CZcams channel twice a day. Still no new video of Hugh Jackman on the show announcing his comeback.. Hope is fading by the day
I hope he comes back because he is a great actor specially as wolverine we the fans miss you bro come back
We miss you, Hugh. It's such a shame he was screwed out of the Best Actor nomination for Logan.
Best Actor was a good year that year.
Give "swordfish" a watch.
Jackman plays his part really well and you get to see halle berrys better halves.
According to imdb.com Dougray Scott had actually signed up to play Wolverine but two things happened.
The movie he was making at the time Mission Impossible 2 went over schedule and he had to continue filming
and he also got into a motorcyle accident while filming the ending.
Gonna start saying yes to everything. Lets see how this goes a year from now
Thanks Stan Lee for this creature.
Why does the word creature look so weird to me, I know you spelled it correct, it just looks wrong
Its actually Len Wein who created Wolverine.
@Tomheten but the context is about wolverine
@Tomheten, Wolverine was not created as part of the X-Men. He was meant to be a random character.
Stan Lee didn’t create the Wolverine
3:03 too bad the makers of the simpsons can't follow that same advice
Sad but true
I didn't fault them at all for going well into the teens with their season count, given the nature of how the show's done is so different you can't really compare, but by NOW, yeah, it's well past time. There was a long time that, even though I very infrequently saw the show anymore, but that if I'd heard they were finally ending it I still would've had like a small pang in my chest at the idea, I wouldn't even blink at this point if the same announcement came. like c'mon, you're just churning out material to fill out season DVD sets now. You're long since past saying anything new with these characters.
One of the key things Jason Alexander I remember actually saying about Seinfeld, that even by year 9, he had every confidence the show could still remain sufficiently funny for a good long while, but "there's no way we can surprise the audience anymore thru these characters". Being funny isn't enough if you're just perpetually recycling the same tropes, that's how he became fine with ending the show.
Freekin LOVE Hugh Jackman! What nice guy
‘You only live twice’ - was the name of the Bond film where he came back.
Wow. I guess that is true. He was/is the longest running superhero. Longer than RDJ.
Do they mean the amount of movies he played the character? Because Patrick Stewart played professor x in almost every x men movie.
Nay 8 years longer than RDJ
@@GoldLBS Sir Patrick btw. He played in almost every xmen movie. But Hugh played IN EVERY Xmen movie. RDJ just shows up but Hugh stayed in crazy shape for 2 decades. That's nuts.
"So you're saying there's a chance"
I understood that reference.
These IOU's are just as good as real money.
It's never over.
Hugh *we* need You back as Wolverine.
Ron Howard Narration: Hugh did change his mind.
Even Seinfeld did a reunion inside of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Come on, at least do a Wolvie appearance with Deadpool thing man.
Hugh Jackman will forever be Wolverine.
He really has it together
