- SORRY ABOUT THE POP-UPS IN THIS VIDEO HOPE YOU CAN LOOK PAST THEM I will make sure there is not so many in the future.Hello all in this episode in Microsoft flight simulator 2020 we discuss the Cessna Longitude and all of the systems so that you too can fly this beautiful bird with ease! First we go over the electrical system and explain how that works. Then we discuss the apu starting and a general cockpit familiarization. Next we go over the flight plan and also enter it in the G3000 (by working title) this is a full tutorial so i go as slow as possible we also go over the arrival and the approach procedures. Next is the Vnav setup and this is why we go over the arrival and approach because we need to enter all the flight restrictions in the G3000 for Vnav to be effective. Then get our clearance and set sail! Thanks for watching any questions please leave them below also remember to like and subscribe to the channel!

I must have watched about 100 MSFS videos by now. This is, by far, the best I’ve seen. Excellent work, sir. I’m no longer at the mercy of the built-in flight plans in the sim.
Thanks so much for the comment hope you enjoy the other 2 videos in this series. 😊
OMG! Thank you, thank you! I didn't know about the auto throttle. What a dream that is! No more constant playing with the throttle.
Yes it is a great thing that auto throttle in the next part of the video I will get into how to use it more remember you can't use flc and auto throttle at the same time use 1 or the other . Thanks for watching
Thanks for the AT info. I was able to map it to a throttle button and map the speed selector to a rotary. It makes approach speed control so much easier. All of your vids that I have seen are 5 stars! Well done.
Thank you for the comment I really appreciate it . This was an older video and I was just having fun in this 3 part video with a little info lol .
Spent lots of time flying the CJ4 (great job by WT guys) and now ready to tackle the C700. Searched for some tutorials for this bird and luckily found YOU ! Outstanding and wonderful presentation skills ! Subscribed, liked and hit the bell ! Looking forward to part 2 for the Longitude ! Thanks for a job WELL DONE !
Thank you very much for the comment and the sub and the like Wow! part 2 and 3 are out check the description I should have those down there . Hope you like 2 and 3 😁 thanks again
Ok.so for some reason I didn't put the links below I will fix that here is 2

Excellent instructional video. Thanks!
Your welcome thanks for the comment 😀
Really enjoyed the video. I've wanted to fly this plane and now I can at least attempt it.
Hey thanks for the comment 😀
Excellent work very very informative video!! thank you very much
Hey thanks for the comment happy you enjoyed it
Really nice work bro!
Thank you very much 😊
Awesome video, thanks a lot!
Very welcome thanks for the comment 😀
Thanks for the outstanding vedio and leading me to the latest mod update.
Hey you are welcome thanks for the comment glad you liked the video
Nice tutorial!
Oh gosh lol that video is so old now . I did a complete redo of the longitude series with the aau update here is the link it is much better than my older vids .
czcams.com/video/_tlM4hbLL6E/video.html
Just so there is no misunderstanding of Garmin WT products; The longitude uses the G5000. Basically the same as G3000, except G5000 has an extra GTC instead of softkeys on the PFD.
Thanks for the comment 👍 this is a very old video you should check out the new series with all the updated avionics czcams.com/video/_tlM4hbLL6E/video.html
Great channel and video. Just a comment on the VNAV restrictions. If they show up in white they are database reference only and ignored in VNAV mode. Only those in blue are followed. That is how most Garmin GPS products work.
Hey thanks for the tip. In vnav mode the numbers in white are the approx altitude you will be at when crossing the waypoint . They are not a set restriction for the vnav and the vnav doesn't stop at any restrictions anyway because it doesn't work as it should lol. the numbers in blue are the ones followed by vnav. Once the gps gets some love from working title I will have to remake the vnav portion. I'm just trying to make it as easy as I can for new flyers to learn what we have to work with. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching really appreciate it. 😀
Unfortunately to download the flight plan you need to make commitments which I hate and won't do it. Other than that, I'll keep watching your videos and hiting the thumbs up button.
Thank you... yes I've had people complain I don't put the flight plan link in the description and this is the only way i can do that unless I type out the flight plan.
I can't thank you enough for this video. I just upgraded my MSFS to fly the longitude and apart from the alarm bug that has popped up in U6 I'm really looking forward to flying it. I'm very new to inputting the Vnav because I normally set my flight on the menu screen map but this is a new level of immersion to get used to. Two questions that I can't find in my documentation what is the maximum climb rate VS and what should the final fully trimmed landing speed be for this plane? And to the people downvoting this video "Get bent"
Hey there thanks for the awesome comment . For your questions im.not to sure of the maximum climb rate but in little navmap it gives the approx climb rate in the fuel report profile for climb and decent check out the link in the description for that video and the landing speed so if you are I the speed bugs setting click on the landing speeds and there you go your approach speeds are listed . I hope this answered your questions if not just yell at me lol 😅 thanks again
Make sure you download the Fdefix link in the description this is a must for this aircraft and fixes the alarm bug
Great video! Great introduction to the Longitude and the Garmin GTC’s. Question though, doesn’t the Longitude have G5000 avionics?
Yes but the working title mod is g3000 that is good for both g5000 and g3000 for the tbm . Thanks for the comment glad you liked it .
Maybe explained in additional videos. No way to enter speed restrictions into FMC? Thanks for your hard work. All these graphics and so forth must take a while to do.
Also, how are you getting your V Speeds?
Hey thanks for the comment this is an older video and I pulled back on alot of the graphic stuff and only use what is necessary I find It was to distracting ... anyway no you cannot enter any speed restrictions. V speeds I use what is default in the aircraft. In the pfd menu I believe you can select v speeds .
Enjoyed the video series and am learning lots about this aircraft. I may have missed it in the first video, but did you set TakeOff trim? I have MSFS 2020 with all latest updates and also both major Mods on the longitude, but I cannot find what the trim setting is when I am trying to set it prior to TO. What am I missing? Thanks.
Hey thanks so.much for the comment . TO trim I just set with a slight down trim and most times I don't even mess with it im.sure there is a poh somewhere but idk maybe someone can chime in . The issue with trim in this aircraft you don't know the percent anymore after the updates so it's always a guess anyway lol.
Lmao that autopilot blowup doll was so unexpected 😂 I must of been laughing for at least 5 min before I completed the rest of this video lol
Lol 😆 thanks so much for the comment . I like to be funny every once in a while glad you enjoyed it .
Hope you enjoy part 2 and 3 😁
Nice video. Is the MSFS's checklist good or do you know any good checklist for procedures?
Thanks for the comment you know I not to sure about the checklist you can probably google search a poh for the cessna and something may come up.
Hi Captain , thank you for the nice videos and explanation, I am using your cold and dark but there is an warning on the screen starter ignition what error did I commit? Rgds and tks in advance
Thanks for the comment . Does the warning go out ?
Hi, great tutorial!!! My pfd settings doesn't have the option to change baro from inch Hg to hpa, how's that?
That's really strange I'm not sure lol thank you for the comment
Hi question, I noticed that on your center screen your aircraft was in the circle radius, how do you activate that?
Great content thank you so much
Thanks for the comment . So are you using the working title g3000? If so you need to switch the map into north up mode in the settings in the gps.
@@2020fsers thank you so much friend. Keep up the great content. 😍
Thank you 😊
Great video. A couple of questions:
1. At the 33:30 minutes of the video, does it make a difference if you press the Starter button first instead of the Run button (under the clear cover). It's confusing because other videos press the Run button first.
2. Does the FMS function on the Longitude?
3. What has changed with the plane and the mod since you uploaded this video?
Thank you.
Thanks for the comment . In the sim it really doesn't matter if you click run first before the start . Clicking run opens the fuel valve IRL you wouldn't do that you would always hit start before run . What do you mean fms function ? I don't think anything has changed to the aircraft. Make sure to use the longitude mod and also the g3000 mod 👌.
@@2020fsers The FMS in the SPD dial. Does it work in MSFS? I was under the impression from your video that it should work. I thought I came across a video mentioning that the FMS does not work in MSFS.
Edit: Found the video that say it does not work? - (@23:40 minute of FSMANIA's CZcams video "Cessna Citation LONGITUDE Key West, FL. to Atlanta, GA. part 1 of 2"). And yep, I'll use the mods. Btw, is there a Gear Down indicator in the mods? It's kinda confusing since I've not been able to locate an official checklist for the Longitude. Thank you.
Oh the spd dial fms or manual yes it does work . It may be a little buggy but it does work for me . I never heard of a gear down mod.
Check out the second video to this and I use that dial.
As he said, in the sim it really doesn’t matter if you hit Run or Starter first….but IRL you would hit the Starter first, wait for N2 to reach 9% (at least in the Latitude….which is similar) then hit Run to introduce fuel to the engine.
fs'ers, You don't use Navigraph? the charts work great!!! Love your tutorials .....
Thank you. No I don't have navigraph maybe someday I haven't really found the need yet.
Before I go through this long video, I am only wanting to know about one thing. Does this video, or can you point me to the right video, talk about how to set up the autopilot before takeoff? Is this possible? It seems when I set up everything, once in the air I hit the buttons to activate, and everything resets to the CURRENT values (or even to ZERO) instead of flying to the ones I preset. Is setting up the AP only possible after in the air???
This will show you how to set up the ap. It is a bit funny and possibly Obnoxious but I was having a little fun here but all the info is great. The ap can be set on the ground before takeoff .
Hey, I'm a little bit confused, is this some more for the Longitude, bcs my FMC looks a lot more simple than that you're showing. Our has it changed since SU5, as I haven't flown the Longitude since then?
BTW, I liked a lot your style and very detailed explanations
oh you know what i forgot to mention that i am using the g3000 mod from working title i will put a link in the description for that sorry bout that..
thank you so much for that i really appreciate it ! hey i just updated the description on how to get that mod for the g3000 thanks again for letting me know about that!
For those of us flying on the xbox, will we ever get to upgrade the Longitude avionics so they actually function correctly? In other words, will we be able to download the Working Title G3000 mod?
I hope they integrate it into the sim like the g1000nxi
frustrating trying to do a flight plan following your instructions as my G3000 in my longitude is not the same as yours.HOW COME?
You need the working title g3000 mod check the description
do you use it with any mod? if so which one please, thanks!
I use the g3000 mod from wt and the longitude fdefix mod links should be in the description.
@@2020fsers ok thanks, thanks for all you do!
Your welcome 🙏
how come my mfd screens main home menu is different than yours? I have less options and mine is definitely less cool.
I am using the g3000 mod link in the description.
....stuck a point where you set airway at MANCA
What do you mean stuck ?
what's the standy by power for?
Standby is used for ground purposes when the power cart isn't available so you don't drain your main battery
@@2020fsers Cool! thanks , and in that case should I turn on both batteries as well? or just the stand by switch?
You can turn on only standby to use the gps and program when ready then turn on the main batteries don't sit to long using the mains or you will loose power.
the .pln file has an extension .lnmpln and even after changing it to .pln it doesnt Load.
That's strange because that's the exact file I used to load in the Microsoft flight simulator
@@2020fsers pls check extension.
The link provided by @2020fs'ers downloads the .lnmpln Little NavMap flight plan file. It loads into the Little NavMap program. It then needs to be exported by Little NavMap into a .pln file. The .pln file is then loaded from inside MSFS.
How do I get the data for vnav altitudes
The data you can find on the arrival , sids, and approach charts that can be had on skyvector.com chartfox.org and others. If unsure how to read them I did a ifr tutorial series showing that info.
@@2020fsers I actually figured out that they came from sky vector after watching again and used your video on how to read them. Thanks for the videos, everything gets explained in a way that makes sense for me
Great I'm glad you enjoyed them 😀 thanks for the followup
Why all the fancy graphics and sound effects, I think it spoils your videos.
Thanks for the comment . I could take all that stuff out but then I would be like everyone else out there granted it would save me hours of editing but I feel the need for a little humor to break up the seriousness of a tutorial so you don't fall asleep. I do appreciate the suggestion please keep them coming but this is me and my personality and I really enjoy this.
Great video and explanation. I managed 25 minutes before the hyped voice and popup symbols got me.
Hey thanks for the comment.
Hey guys after rewatching the video I may have added too many pop-ups especially in the beginning 20 mins of the video thanks for pointing that out to me I will take care of that in the future. I am still new to this and learning everyday.
Part 2 doesn't have many pop-ups
The longitude has g5000 not g3000. Just so ya know
Thanks for the comment 👍
What Cessna Longitude is this airplane? Because the one in the Xbox the VNAV does not work 😫🛫
This is the longitude fde fix mod and the g3000 mod and I don't think they are available on Xbox
