I’ve had these types of pens before. I’ve had glittery ones and neon ones even mixed colors. There my favorite pens and I used to have thousands!!! I’ve even got some around my grandparents house. They work really well and I’ve never used another pen that I liked so much.
I wish my life is as colorful as this gel pens..

This is so nostalgic! I got this set as a birthday present when I turned 8 because I was obsessed with coloured pens... well, I'm still obsessed but man, this took my back to the mid 2000's.
Reminds me of that one girl who always had colour pens in every colour possible.

The texture made by the streakiness of the pens of the on the black paper is so interesting! It’s consistent which makes it look great.

I feel like some of the pens I used to fill in the larger areas went down about 1/3! I’m curious to how long they’ll last!
Kasey Golden, now I don’t use them a ton for art, I usually use them for writing notes, but if I were you, if you were to use them on a daily basis use them more for line art and they will probably last you a lot longer.
i have a set similar to these, but they don't have refills like yours ;-; and I've already lost like 3 of them to busting ink cartridges.

On my school some people stole mine...
It was super cool watching the sped up version of the swatching because it looked like once you touched the paper with the pen, it just dropped ink in a perfect circle. Lots of love!
When you sketched on the black paper, it put the nostalgia in my head of drawing with the neon chalk on the black board.
I've done a full out colored drawing with gel pens only. They're one of my favorite things to draw with- You get used to the nameless colors.
i love the texture that came from the pens! i especially love the look of the tan paper.
These colors are really vibrant and not to mention plentiful. They look like really good for a color challenge, something like Huevember, or at least for line art during the challenge. Great drawings Kasey, those mermaids look colorful and stylish! Who knew mermaids could be so striking!

How do you know which refill is for which pen-
They have no color names-

The reills are in packs and the bags are labelled by which row they are in. So find the row and since the pens are so scattered, find the ink that beat matches

Aaaahhh. I bought the same pack on impulse a while back, and I hardly ever use them. Usually, I don't do impulse buys, but I was going through a lot of writer's block, and bright colors help trigger my ~cReAtIvE jUiCeS~. I still use them when I have writer's block, though.

and i would use them to doodle on my arms and do fake tattoos ^^
I remember I used to have some similar to those! I took the end cap off and put a little piece of paper in it with numbers to make it easier when it came to swatches 😁

In school I used to make art with gel pens all the time. I found it was best to use construction paper and lay down a layer with a white gel pen first. Also a lot of my drawings tended to be pretty small like the size of stickers. It’s interesting watching someone draw bigger with them.

Sketching with colored pencils helps a lot, because then the material on top doesn't pick up the graffite of the pencil :^)

I would recommend baby pink colour pencil .... the graphite does not show up even a bit after colouring.
I’ve never been a fan of gel pens since I’ve always seen they dry sooo slowly and I take notes very quickly and like highlighting them, but this video made me want to try some to draw with
I once bought a similar pack with 100 pens and did the same as you did 😊 Labeld every pen and it works great
