My favorite to use are gel pens. The vibrancy, wide selection of ink colors, and its range of tip sizes ensures that I'll always find one perfect for any writing job. Hybrid ink pens are a close second. These pens are perfect for extensive note-taking as the ink lasts longer than gel pens and don't smear when using highlighter pens (there may be minimal smearing if using a 1.0 mm tip as it's letting out more ink). An added benefit of hybrid ink is that it appears darker than that of viscous oil-based ink pens. My favorite hybrid ink pens are the 0.38 mm Uni Jetstream and 0.5 mm Pilot Acroball, with both having blue ink. Thanks for the video JetPens!

Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens (specifically the ones with a shooting star and the "Gold" ones, I don't know what they're called) have really pretty ink and they're really smooth. They only come in one millimeter but all the Gelly pens are great for drawing little things because the ink flow is satisfyingly smooth and it's just _amazing._

      @@ivanavalos3911 Final Thoughts and Reminders
Historically, there has been a general preference (not legal requirement) towards blue ink. This is because blue ink easily distinguishes an original document. Black ink can be confused with a photocopy, especially over time as the ink fades. If there are instructions for a document to be signed in a specific color, those instructions should be followed. Parties are free to request that people sign in a certain color if they choose.
Although the ink color is one factor, the most important element of a signature is the parties’ intention. Did each party intend to sign? If they did, the form of the signature (including the ink color) is usually irrelevant. Therefore, people can sign with gibberish and still be found to have genuinely signed the agreement. This means someone can’t get out of a contract just because they signed with a signature different from their own. The same goes for color.

My favorite are roller ball pens. They work so smooth and require less pressure and I have to write almost everyday. They also make my handwriting better. However in some notebooks if the paper is thin or low quality they bleed through the page but then I just use notebooks which are suitable for them.

  • @soniccookie655

A few years ago I had this amazing pen that wrote so smoothly and easily, and its ink was so thick and dark. I realize now that it was a rollerball (I think it was the same brand you show here). I love a good ballpoint or gel pen (Pilot G2 is one of my favorites), but I just don't think they can compare with the rollerball. I think my second favorite is a certain brand of ballpoint, which I don't know off the top of my head, but I like it because of the nice variety in line thickness you can get with it, almost like a pencil. I like sketching with it. But I think the rollerball deserves top place because it is just so unique. The ballpoint is lovely but you can get the same sort of effect and feeling with a pencil, a rollerball is more like a pen filled with paint.
I have another rollerball now (I just looked at it, it says "roller ball" right on it!), but that one I had before was so much better. I think I might try to get a new one now.

if i’m being honest, i’ve got at least 3 of each kind of pen in my case at all times. when taking notes i always go for my blue uni-ball vision elite rollerball for most of the writing (pretty much all the info, etc.) and my black paper mate inkjoy gel pen for the headings and dates (i also use it for the dashes when doing point form and any writing that involves having a colon after it). i’ll also sometimes use a purple paper mate inkjoy ballpoint pen for any key words or information.
i did used to write everything in exclusively the black gel pen but then you find random pens when organizing and things change, and i’ve got more lying around that i still haven’t tried out; but truth be told if i did try them then i would have to get a whole other pencil case just to carry all my pens😅. it is nice to know the true difference between them and what they’re best suited for, and i might just buy some more rollerball and gel pens out of spite🤷‍♀️😂

I love gel pens in general. They’re easy to write with and easy to find in most stores. My favorite low-cost, quick-to-find ones are the Pilot gel pens. They say Pilot G-2 07 on the clip.

Pilot G2 1.0mm gel pens have been my go-to for many years. Their G2 minis are perfect for carrying in a pocket or glove box. Plus, the rainbow array of color options is great for color-coding tasks. With gel pens, I never have to "swirl test" to warm them up, they just work the first time, every time.

I think I'm probably the only one, but my favorite will always be ballpoint pens. It's the feel I love. My second will have to be pilot frixion. I love the fact that I can erase my mistakes. And all the colors and tip sizes don't hurt either.

My favorite pens are none of the above. Fountain pens. Great ergo because you don't have to use any pressure at all, it will write under it's own weight. All the colors in the world. A wide variety of tips including stubs and flex. Depending on the ink, waterproof, archival, fraud resistant etc. The only thing about them is they don't do so well on cheap paper, but even that you can make work by getting the finest nib you can and a ink that doesn't run as much. My pick is Noodler's X-Feather.

Haven’t watched the vid yet but here are my ideas:
I like rollerblade in long essays and stuff
I like ball point on less professional items I keep to myself (i.e. notes or a to do list)
I like gel pens on short things like letters
    Edit: spelling

My list of when to use what pen: At anywhere and need to write something down, or you want lab rat pens, use a ballpoint pen. For everyday use, rollerball pen. For taking notes or need something to last, use a gel pen. For professional writing (i.e signing something or writing a comic book), use a fountain pen. And if you are in the 1700's, use a quill.

My favourite kind of pen to write is the rollerball because it hurts less my hand. I use uni-ball eye micro myself. Despite of that I also have gel and ballpoint pens to adapt to other situations. In terms of colour availability in ballpoint pens, the best range I know is from BIC: there is a pack of fifteen different colours with 1,6mm tips (which might not please those who like a thinner writing). PaperMate hasn't this many colours but they have around ten different colours for their 1,0mm pens and the writing feel is incredibly smooth!

  • @AlexiLaiho227

i like rollerballs the best! pilot precise v5 is my favorite, the silver retractable ones feel very sturdy in the hand.
i also like liquid gel pens, the pentel energel pearl writes significantly smoother and darker than the normal pentel energel.
i think it's because the pearl is halfway between a gel pen and a rollerball, and i like that a lot too.
another of my faves is the uni ball signo 207, which i believe is a rollerball/gel hybrid as well, but I'm not sure.

The pen companies are always coming out with better pens, I am getting confused. I come from the Bic Cristal ballpoint era, most people don't know how good they have it now. All we had was a choice of Black/ Blue/Red, now you have a 64 -box of crayon colors unimaginable at your grasps which is really cool. I am grateful for all the fun that I can have now with all these pens.
I like taking a break and getting away from the keyboard and writing for a change.
