- Fine liners are typically used to outline your illustrations and add bold, dark lines to finish your piece! But what if I used fine liners to complete an entire illustration?!

Ooof the memories when i only used these pens for my art...dark times ....
Yes I relate on a spiritual level
Oh all those memories r flooding in Y0Y We've all been there ^^"
Felt that
Lmao you did that to
I've used those pens to colour in a drawing and the background. Edit: those pens are hell to use for colouring
Kasey: colors in big spaces with a fine liner
Me: what the... t-that’s impossible.
Not impossible but takes forever and looks awful lmao
I had a bunch of ultra fine bic permanent markers in 6th grade and had all sorts of colors so I used them ton color more than anything and I regularly colored large spaces with them, or with ballpoint pens too
oh lawd he comin but are you actually laughing your a** off?
"Dogs have snouts and tails, unlike cats"
I mean I havent seen a cat in a few weeks but last time I checked they have tails
Cats have tails to balance, I have a cat so I know they have tails 😂!
Manx cats are born without tails so technically shes wrong 😅
@@chrisjeremy8109 well some Manx have itty bitty tails, if I'm right!
what are you talking about, cats dont have any snouts or tails!
That have snouts too but I get what you mean lol 😂
Watching Kasey fill in big areas with fineliners is the worst thing I ever had to witness. This will haunt my nightmares for a while...
LOL
Do you mean satisfying?
Tmjon the waste of ink hurt my soul... I mean she’s using them for art so not really waste? But like they’re not meant for large areas so it still kindof hurts lmao
Same. Coloring in big spaces is very hard with small supplies.
@@ravyxen as a kid a friend of mine used my red fineliner to colour a big area and i got really mad because she used up all the ink...
RIP Black Paper
Reason of death: There’s no use for it
Lol
Sounds like whats gonna be written on my thumbstone not gonna lie
Pistachio You can use more than just metallic pencils on black paper if they're the right formula
Anežka Vopršalová i came here to write that, you were faster
Pistachio There's way more than just prismacolours that work, there's also faber castle, arteza and more
*nobody is gonna take about how she can make that character look almost exactly the same on both papers??*

i actually prefer the “earthy” picture more, idk it’s just the vibe of a homemade toy with all these stitches, and kinda old album photo or smth
Yes!
Same! to me the brown paper has a more old fashion effect to it
It has a vintage vibe.
“They have tails, unlike cats” now wait a damn minute?
She might mean a tail unique to that creature. A tail unlike the tail of the cat.
7:43
7:33 I see the reason. Instead of only tails, she mentions how dogs -as a species have many different shapes and sizes- unlike cats.
Cats may have variations, but may be fewer and hardly noticed in comparison to dogs.
Thats the joke
Owning the whole pack made you the coolest kid back in school >:0

The ink in those pens is semi-transparent. That’s why there’s a color shift. And you are very brave to color in large areas with a fine-liner.
The brown paper has more of like a 80’ vibe :D that’s why I love it more.

These are meant for note taking! Basically every schoolgirl in Germany has them. Usually you buy them in sets, only use your favorite colors until you loose them and gradually end up with a bunch of useless ones like brown or yellow cluttering your bag. I kinda miss them.
those were what my math teacher used in 7th grade, vietnam flashbacks insured as soon as i clicked on this video
Yeah, every “aesthetic girl” has these in Mexico along with the Stabilo Boss and the Crayola Supertips. We jokingly call them “la morra de los plumones” (lit. the marker chick). Every. Darn. Classroom. Has. One. It became a meme lol.
Every german school girl? You mean student, right? The boys had them too, at least at my school haha
Oh yes i had a lot in my pencil Case , i skechted so much with them in school time ( germany here)
My school is ass so classmates will steal it if you take your eyes off them
I'm just amazed that Kasey's somehow managed to avoid ever touching a stabilo fineline until now 😂
Me: Ooh I wonder what the fluffy stuff around the character is, maybe bubbles?
Kasey: pUBES

I always though these pens were more like a school type of pen. I used to use them for highlights and to better separate how important things were
I use them for titles and little details in my notes
Omg did you draw that profile pic ? It looks so cute!!
i used them to draw those trippy swirls with stencils
I eat them
I usually use them for lining. A colourful outline can be quite fun

I like both of them. I feel like the brown paper had a more vintage feel to it and the white paper looks like your style and oc. They both came out great
i love it! did you know that stabilo also has "bigger" felt tips? :b its way easiert to fill blank space with them

When I was younger I was too nervous to ask my parents for more expensive art supplies. So I had a phase where I used only fine tip sharpies to colour my drawings. I don't know why I didn't just use some really cheap markers. I think it was because my mom saw this massive pack of colourful sharpies and got them for me thinking they would be good for drawing; and I didn't have the heart to tell her they were the worst. It was a very painful time in my drawing career....
...yeah I never had the heart to tell them. They are always so excited :(
But still, I also got some cool supplies so it evens out.
My parents typically buy me sketchbooks and colored pencils, not markers so yeah. I usually use my tablet for drawing if I want bright colours, but I remember those days when I had a small pack of sharpies (fine tip) and thought it was a great idea to use them for everything ;-;
Sock Kasey, her sass and her 1970's muff are a great combination
I remember using these back in my school days, but I don't remember them being sold as "fine liners" back then. They are definitely meant for writing, not art.
You could also use them for just the lineart
yeah theyre really good for lineart, actually
they're also really good for a Tim Burton-ish type of style that's REALLY based of lines
i used them for art as a kid. instead of colouring i would only do lineart or fill up the spaces with patterns
@@cecerats I still use them for art. I just pick a larger pen size
The brown paper feels like CottageCore and I'm 1,000% here for it
"If you don't know who sock Kasey is... how sad for you"
The brown paper look like an old photo, something that you would find after coming back to your parents house after years, you shuffle into a dusty box and find an old, faded and brownish picture of yourself as a kid. It has a sense of nostalgia, i like it.
The white paper is so happy, i love britgh colors!
"If you dont know who sock Kasey is....... Thats so sad."
I literally died
Where is sock Kasey? Fuhj?
Speaking of seeing the same image on different paper, it’d be interesting seeing the same watercolour painting on rough, cold-press, and hot-press paper!
AHHH KASEY! You need to know that the stabilo fineliners (also the thicker versions) ARE WATER SOLUBLE!!!!!!! You can get a wonderful watercolor effect with them!
Loving the music and next time you use these fineliners try a more scratchy abstract style, it would be fun to see the style change and how the essence of your style hangs on!
This video makes me itching to go draw something with my fine liners. And I'm a writer!! :}
Kasey where’s the poll at 6:30?

I have similar. Idk which is better quality. The brand I have is “Staedtler” - got them at Target.
I have these and the pastel highlighters💕
I have them but pastel colors 😅 and not as big pack 🙁
I have the exact same pack as the one in the video, but I only really use them for writing lists or in my planner.... but now I might try using them to line my drawings!

So... who is Kasey Golden to me? I don't know, but she can never resist.
I love Stabilo fineliners!! I even used to collect all the colors lmao
I like the brown paper and its earthy tones almost equally, but I like the white paper more. The white makes the color pop so much.
I loved the bright colors, but the brown paper gave the drawing such a soothing sepia tone. Like being drenched in a daydream.
Hi Kasey you never fail to make me smile. These are probably the only pens I actually own! Hahah
I wish I could watch this right now but I have a parents evening to go to and options evening so I’ll watch it later
The brown gives a rustic tone which is satisfying for me so I choose brown
Try red, orange, turquoise, and brown fineliners on yellow, card/paper.
It's absolutely stunning.
Omg I have these I got so excited since we have them at home! I love watching artists using the supplies I have
‘While it does have an interesting texture to it. I don’t think I would have the patience to do a whole illustration like that.
I like the effect that the fineliner made. It does that fabric feel and made the plush feels plushy
I love fineliners, dunno why. I just like collecting them and randomly doodling with them.
"Dogs have snouts and tails..... Unlike cats.."
Me: ¿
I think what she means is dogs have more long and broad snouts and more long and fluffy tails(some dogs not all) and while some cats have fluffy tails you dont typically see a cat with 6 inch fur at the end of their tail like some dogs. And most cats have a flat-ish face with a smaller snoz. But I'm guessing
The brown paper looks vintage and awesome! I just image drawing some old Mickey Mouse or Looney Tunes inspired art on it
oh my god i love the brown 😭😭
this both gives me anxiety and is satisfying.
"it's just the tip size: super tiny"
"The tip is so small"

Also Kasey: almost never uses them
This is gonna take a looooooong time to color in...
Hello! I'm a new subscriber! And I really Iike stabilo liners, they are so colorful and I can draw with them but also write in school notebooks cuz they dont bleed lol
@Kärt Kaaren Kalvet depends on the paper. they bleed a lot on the wrong paper. 💖
I use Oxford notebooks :3 They're available in my country, I dunno if they are in yours ;">>
The brown paper gave the doodle this charming vintage/antique vibe and the colours looked warmer in that paper. I really liked it.
That swatch of the dark green pen on the brown paper, jarred my soul.
I used to have these exact markers when i was little !! This gives me nostalgia
I think they're pens
Yeah the white paper shows off your Art to better advantage. If you use the color paper(s) for portraits or landscapes you can eliminate some of the work filling in areas of that tone of the paper you use. I can think of no better reason for going that direction. I would like to see how just using the fine-liners for your regular art works and drawing your line work in differing colors to match your fields colors, Will they hold up with Watercolors? I think the fields of color in these drawings is a little to patchy or streaky? I admire your courage in the directions you are exploring trying to replace the Prompt series. your growing as an Artist and if you do not see it others of us are appreciating your efforts to do so! OH I loved your Sock Kasey's Toonme picture, it is AMAZING!

i love the effect that filling space with bullpens does, it's like full of lines but it doesn't look bad and i love it
the brown paper gave me such a retro old summery vibe that i really like

I like the aesthetic of the brown paper. It’s just gives me a weird nostalgia feeling that I can’t explain lol. The way the colors turned out on it just reminds me of something I’ve seen before😂 anyway I loved this video :)
I really like the brown color, just because it reminds me of like- when I was younger, and didn’t have access to good material- so I’d just draw on the back of my notebooks and stuff! With pens!
Kasey: They have snouts and tails unlike cats
Me: *looks at my cat and sees a tail on her*
Also me: *confused as heck cause my cat has a tail*
Lol love you kasey 💖

I think she meant that dogs have a larger variety of tails and snouts..? Like how cocker spaniel has a short stubby tail and Pug has a squished snout, but cats have different breeds too so lol it is confusing, I think cats are fun to draw too
7:42 I’m so confused... cats have tails... right?
The brown one looks more like an old vintage poster in 90s and the 80s !
The brown paper gave the art such a vintage feel, like an old postcard or something you would see as a poster in the fallout universe. ✨
Me: I love my microns, but I always love seeing other art supplies that work too!
Someone: *expresses a totally logical and accurate reason they don’t use microns*

These black ones are great for lines. Ive drawn entire mandelas with em like almost an entire page of lines. And it not acting any different.
It's also exactly pencil size. And of course because it is a fineliner, it glides.
That’s me with me off brand copic markers (but they are really good)
Love the brown paper one. It gives some soothing/vintage vibe to me. ♥️
I love bright and colorful things, but i LOVE how the brown paper look like vintage or something, it's a lovely effect
I love how bright the white is. But I love that the brown paper looks old fashion

the brown paper makes everything look like a sunset color palette in anime
The brown gave me like a flashback vibe, like when an animation shows the backstory of a character kinda thing, or maybe an old-timey vibe '^'
Everyone young artist has tried to colour entire drawings with fine liners.
You forgot the poll 😭
I do love me some tan paper though ;)
I like the red artsy tones and the cuteness of its almost antic look
The brown paper gives it more of a warm, fuzzy, and friendly feel to the first drawing in my opinion.
