  • Fine liners are typically used to outline your illustrations and add bold, dark lines to finish your piece! But what if I used fine liners to complete an entire illustration?!

When I was younger I was too nervous to ask my parents for more expensive art supplies. So I had a phase where I used only fine tip sharpies to colour my drawings. I don't know why I didn't just use some really cheap markers. I think it was because my mom saw this massive pack of colourful sharpies and got them for me thinking they would be good for drawing; and I didn't have the heart to tell her they were the worst. It was a very painful time in my drawing career....

Yeah the white paper shows off your Art to better advantage. If you use the color paper(s) for portraits or landscapes you can eliminate some of the work filling in areas of that tone of the paper you use. I can think of no better reason for going that direction. I would like to see how just using the fine-liners for your regular art works and drawing your line work in differing colors to match your fields colors, Will they hold up with Watercolors? I think the fields of color in these drawings is a little to patchy or streaky? I admire your courage in the directions you are exploring trying to replace the Prompt series. your growing as an Artist and if you do not see it others of us are appreciating your efforts to do so! OH I loved your Sock Kasey's Toonme picture, it is AMAZING!

These black ones are great for lines. Ive drawn entire mandelas with em like almost an entire page of lines. And it not acting any different.
It's also exactly pencil size. And of course because it is a fineliner, it glides.
