Lots of great bikes but the Atherton is my favorite. I like that they are manufacturing domestically. At these price points, there has to be room for on shore labor.
Got a Tyee back in October and absolutely love it, playful but just wants to go fast too. Only problem is I'm just after breaking the front triangle, absolute bummer
If I really have to take a long travel DH, I would choose the Banshee Legend but... short travel DH are soooo fun haha (that's why I have Banshee Darkside 🤔)
I like the Commencal Supreme... but the Canyon Sender is far and above the one I desperately want. Canyon Sender looks awesome and looks like it means business and can take on anything.
The prime is huge as far as I can tell. I've ridden it's prototype last summer for 3-4 hours and I must tell it rides as smooth and fast as it looks. It's still only first look perspective, but still ya better keep an eye on this bike.
Atherton bikes is the most special one of course. I have contacted them to buy one but I couldn’t get a response asap during the Covid season. Then I tried to buy Bergamont Straitline Team 2018 second hand built with Manitou Dorado Pro 2018 and Rock Shock Vivid rc2 coil with flip chip technology. I definitely love it. Only thing I hate is the pressfit bottom bracket:)
Believe the edit was done before Antidote launched 2 days ago their new Darkmatter29. That is by far the most beautiful looking bike... By far the most desirable.
Are Trek recommending that the session is run with an air shock as in the pics??? If so Is this to do with suspension design? Is suspension more linear and needs air shock?
Personally im waiting for the new commencal to drop. As soon as that thing is out im buying one and id bet its one of the more affordable models on the market when it comes too
Love the Mondraker, shame its so pricey here in Oz ($6200 for the lowest build spec). If I was to go to a different brand of bike (currently on a Canyon Sender AL) it would be a toss up between the Session and the alloy Rage as I am not a fan of carbon.
Hey @387MTB Racing, Great to see you're riding the Canyon Sender! It's such a beautiful and capable bike! The Session and Rage are also very good looking. Although could you resist that turquoise colourway on the rage featured in the video? 🤔
I've only ever seen one Propain in the wild here in the UK. The main reason we don't see them in the UK is due to Brexit and the trees involved, the taxes tend to increase the price by 50% or so.
Just support local man, I mean its really cool to own a Santa Cruz or Atherton but i live few minutes away from Rocky Mountain so Rocky Mountain it is. LOL
In 2022 let's stop calling it a "mullet" set-up, such a stupid name. It doesn't even match what a mullet truely is, short in the front and long in the back.
THANKS TO GOD, NO CANYON in the line-up, but think for a moment, Canyon is a sponsor of the channel and yet they do not appear, that mean their products are absolute crap, I can testify that I have a torque
All these fun things just too expensive to get into like the worlds only made for rich people i’ll get by with my rusty mongoose tho just gonna send it
Everything functions properly czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of CZcams. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
Their design, using 3d printed ti lugs is pretty much cutting edge... You mean the look of the bike is outdated... Tbh, if its not broken, don't fix it
@@Rich_Pick well the title says hottest downhill bikes, I dont think the Atheron bikes are the hottest in the design part. (design is referring to look for your record, look up what the word design means instead of ... me, design: 1. a plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of a building, garment, or other object before it is made.) Intense, Unno, Norco would get much higher rated.
DH bikes look awesome and I love watching the races, but only going to a bike park once or twice a year I just couldn't justify getting one.
Atherton bikes remind me of home made bikes that are made from water pipes lol
That Prime Rocket though, looks sick considering buying once saved up!
Lots of great bikes but the Atherton is my favorite. I like that they are manufacturing domestically. At these price points, there has to be room for on shore labor.
That Propain Rage is just sooooooooo beautiful
Love that Mondraker is in there! So in love with those bikes!
Pivot Phoenix 🔥
Thanks I needed this. Cool to see dual crowns are still alive and kicking.
Love the look of Propain bikes, really kool brand. No wonder Remy Metalier loves this beast😍👌
My favourite was the Mondraker - just a lovely piece of hardware
The geometry and frame aesthetic is certainly amazing to look at!
It gives me a hardware🤣
Could you guys make a video with a propain tyee or spindrift? I think those bikes are a great deal!
Been looking for more Tyee videos. Ended up ordering one anyway a few days ago haha. Can’t wait for the end of the month!
@@Canweatleastry my tyee came today, its sick!
@@ronaldvanderveen9148 so happy for you man! How long did you end up waiting for it?

@@peterschmidt9285 woah, what happened? How’s Propain handling the situation?
I think the new canyon sender cfr is the absolute best looking bike ever
Santa Cruz V10
I also really love Antidote Darkmatter, Commencal Supreme, Intense M16, and Norco Aurum HSP
That trek session is absolutely gorgeous bike. Plus it's my favorite color
Try video on a Santa Cruz v10
Great content Doddy
In my eye Mondraker easily best in looks. Their bikes are just pure eye candy.
If I really have to take a long travel DH, I would choose the Banshee Legend but... short travel DH are soooo fun haha (that's why I have Banshee Darkside 🤔)
It’s just a session innit
I like the Commencal Supreme... but the Canyon Sender is far and above the one I desperately want. Canyon Sender looks awesome and looks like it means business and can take on anything.
I'd run an Atherton. The DW link is of the same true 4 bar origin as the VPP and Marin Quad link, both systems I've ridden and loved.
VERY GOOD LOOKING BIKES. My favorite BIKE is the SANTA CRUZ V10 MX. I dont know why is not on this list.
Summum R is my next bike for sure
Thank you!
I love the Propain Rage! I don't know how to bring over one here to Ecuador.
Good video......
Trek Session!
The treck paint is just a big yes. I'm on the other side of the mtb spectrum for my region but damn that thing is just gorgeous :D

Commencal Furious 🤘 wouldnt trade mine for any of these except the mondraker, loved my Dune xr can only imagine how a summum rides

That prime looks beautiful but that shock pocket is going to get filled with mud.
Of these you've presented here I love the look of that prime but would choose an Arherton 💙
The Atherton DH bike is truly something unique! 👍
very nice bikes
I think you missed one which is the gt fury the smooth lines with the blue and yellow. If I where to get a new DH bike it would have to be a fury.
Less than £4.5k for the prime rocket is a steal

did you bag the new v5 DH Supreme? I'm itching for one...
Given I had the cash I'd go trek all the way as I'm a proud owner of a 03 trek diesel dh lol so I'd have to have a new model
Nice
commencal frs should have been there
Scott Gambler 2022 is hotter, check Marine Cabirou's Gambler...a killer look, design and performance.
why do I feel doody will be a great used car salesman.
Vitus dominer or whatever I can get for under 3k!

Definitely the Atherton but i will remove the dh fork to enduro 150mm, and put a 1x12 cassette, can you dig that?
Where is the Santa Cruz V10?
Is the cube two15 race a good budget bike at its ~3450€ price point?
Niceeee
