IDK BUT I JUST FOUND OUT TOO LOL
OFF TOPIC I SEE THAT DHMIS T SHIRT
Athena p. Gimme that henry hugglemonster lore now.
WHAT?!
The fact that this show made for kids had a segment with a freaking my chemical romance music video will always be legendary to me.
Shshshshsh yeahhh I remember that and now looking back at it I LAUGHED SO HARD AT ITT
And Taking Back Sunday, Hot Hot Heat, Weezer, The Shins, MGMT, and Jimmy Eat World too. But MCR is most iconic.
Apparently this show was Gee's daughter's favorite show, so that's the reason why they performed on it🥲♡
Unironically I love the song from it.
What's even better is that they turned down doing a song for twilight but still did a song for that.
Also it haunts me that I probaby saw that episode when I was a kid.
A crossover between Yo Gabba Gabba and The Backyardigans would have been too powerful for the world to handle
I really hope you make a lore video about The Backyardigans.
Maybe Backyardigans is next
I think either that or The Octonauts is next
Octonauts was so good
They actually did a crossover with the fresh beat band and it's kwait a fun episode I love the adventures although I don't know how the fresh beats know about the Gabba characters like maybe their casts watch the show people probably thought that when the Gabba crew they don't have a group name not counting their superhero group name from the superhero episode so I'm just gonna to call them the Gabba crew so as I was saying when the Gabba crew appeared in Harper's pizza restaurant people probably thought the fresh beats reactions would be twist: oh my bananas who are you? Kiki: yeah we never seen you before and the Gabba crew would be like dj lance: hi I'm dj lance foofa:hi I'm foofa brobee: hi I'm brobee moono:hi I'm moona plex:hi I'm plex dj lance: we are from gabbaland but they somehow know who everyone they are as they just met them
They never had a crossover because society just wasn’t ready yet
It’s always “Plex, can you help us?”, and never “Plex, do you need our help?”, and it shows.
As the weird kid with undiagnosed autism and anxiety who cried a lot, I really freaking relate to Gooble
OMG ARE YOU ME?!
Y'ALL ME RN??

Kinda makes me wish I wasn't too old when the show aired. (too old meaning I wasn't as interested in little kids shows anymore, though I think I watched bits of a few episodes when I was bored, I remember liking Super Martian Robot Girl) At least I still had Courage the Cowardly Dog!
The fact that My Chemical Romance agreed to do a song for this show after refusing Twilight (understandably) will forever be hilarious to me
Edit: I can vouch that this show was my confused emo awakening lol
They refused Twilight but agreed to do a song for Transformers. I guess they have their own unique set of standards.
@@chilicircus26 wait hold on, they did a song for Transformers?! Somehow this is new knowledge to me
From Transformers dark side of the moon. The song is called the only hope for me is you
It's a good song
@@chilicircus26 that wasn't made For transformers, a song being made for, and a song being in are two different things. Fun Fact: One of Yo Gabba Gabba’s biggest crossovers was with another Nickelodeon show, Fresh Beat Band, where Plex’s teleporter actually malfunctions sending both them and the Fresh Beats (who they meet shortly after the first malfunction) to several different locations.
I love that one. It’s so fun
I remember that episode!
This was the best crossover on Nickelodeon! We love the fresh beats!
OMG, Yessssss, bro that was the crossover of the season for preschool programming!!! Two iconic Nick Jr shows coming together to make such an AWESOME crossover episode, yes, genius!!!
I REMEMBER BEING SO CONFUSED AS A KID WHEN I WAS TOLD FRESH BEAT BAND WAS ON BUT THEN WE SAY THE YO GABBA GABBA INTRO, but that episode ended up being my shit as a kid
that yo gabba gabba scene was wanda realizing the entire world she was in was made up for her to cope with vision's death. It was the realization that not everything was how she wanted it to be, and that she was the DJ Lance of this world
That's GENIUS
@@ar.iaofficial honestly yeah! I hadn't seen yo gabba gabba before this video (heard of it through an MCR fan) so I didn't realise how insanely fittingthe context made it
I didn't catch that in the moment, i was too busy being crushed since it was a brutal flip given my own husband's recent death. Wow. Maybe a rewatch is in order with some distance...
The fact that Plex is the only character in the show to never obtain his own territory other than living inside the box (charging station) between Foofa and Broby's homeland shows that he's built different.
My man deserves his own home.
Maybe he wanted to be a nomad tho

MCR declining twilight but doing yo gabba gabba is iconic
As they should tbh
They made a wise decision there
You know what's funny, Yo Gabba Gabba being in WandaVision makes sense because the cast are a bunch of toys being controlled by DJ Lance while the townsfolk are being controlled by Wanda
Why is this actually hilarious
Jack Black just seems so genuine to me. He puts a lot of heart into the kids shows and movies he's in.
They need to give Plex a villain arc in the reboot after how everyone treats him
That sounds fun
I would love to see a Plex villain arc
@@rosykindbunny1313same, he needs REVENGE!

I would agree with that.
The fact that Yo Gabba Gabba is canon in the MCU means that there's a good chance DJ Lance was among those who got snapped lmao.
He was probably spared. He's too powerful
We need a Yo Gabba Gabba fandom immediately. I want fanart, fanficiton, and a potential continuation of the series.
There is one, look it up
@@TealdroplamoIts sadly not out or even has a trailer yet
Well now I'm curious, time to go searching!
We exist, but we are few in number!

The Jack Black cameo will forever be the memorable episode I remember from the show, who agrees with me?
Me!
He’s just the absolute best. I love how he’s his same self in a preschooler’s show lol
Mee!
i hate how he said that one day he'd come back but then never came back
Me‼️
I hate the fact that I realized all too late that Yo Gabba Gabba was probably the most punk rock kids show to ever exist. I was a little too old for it when it came out so I never really paid attention to how good the musical guest list was.
cant forget the mcr episode
Same. And then when I got into MCR and found out they were on it I was flabbergasted because all I remembered about the show was that all the characters were brightly colored.
It's shown that Plex owns his own robot factory in an old game on the Nick Jr website, so he _technically_ has his own area, somewhere, in this blank white void
When you mention that they were at Coachella, I IMMEDIATELY thought about that one clip of Plex holding Danny Deveito's foot while saing, "This is groooss!😃"
Yeah! I found that on Tumblr, surprisingly.
"Hey, dude, can you hold my foot?"
"This is gross! :D"
Jack Black is basically the fun uncle we all need, isn't he?
🎵 Peaches peaches peaches peaches peaches 🎶
it's become a joke that every time he shows up I turn to my brither and say "he's the guy from Yo Gabba Gabba!"
dawg, he looks EXACTLY like my actual uncle who happens to be the fun uncle
man this show was THE SHIT as a kid
also Plex is way more like the older sibling who’s expected to act like a parent than an actual parent
Exactly, Plex is basically the older, more mature sibling who gets stuck looking after his younger siblings a lot (and Lance is their collective adoptive father, they're all found family, you cannot change my mind on this)
he just like me fr
what's weird is that my childhood show (Numberjacks) and my brother's childhood show (Yo Gabba Gabba) both have Bob Golding as a VA (he voices both Muno and The Puzzler)
Yes, and they all get equal bucket amounts of love, you cant change my mind on this.
@@XeorboomBro voiced both of the characters who made me slightly uncomfortable in a way I could never put my finger on as a kid.
another cameo: in the south park episode "taming strange" the yo gabba gabba characters are actually a huge part of the episode, with foofa taking on the largest role
It was about Ike trying to fuck Foofa

Fun fact: the Jack black talking bike is a reference to a show he pitched and shot a pilot for that didn’t get very far, him and his talking motorcycle, voiced by Owen Wilson, would solve crimes
Edit: It was titled “Heat Vision and Jack” and the full pilot is on CZcams
So it’s like Knight Rider? Well if it was, Jack Black’s vehicle would just be Lightning McQueen XD

I want the full version of “It’s fun to wipe your ass” now. 😂
they knew plex would be too powerful if he had his own section
also riffington feels like a character that would be in the electric mayhem (probably because he looks like a mix of janice and zoot)
I always assumed Plex's room was all of the "backstage" behind the playset on the table, like if the charging port had another door or a hall
no, he lives in the janitor's closet
As a preschool teacher, I fully respect Yo Gabba Gabba. The lessons it teaches are things I talk about until im blue in the face. But this show is able to actually show why they these things are important in a way teachers just can't.
The way Plex’s neice probably works is that he was built at the same time whenever he was built. He was built at the same time as someone else who became like his brother, or his sister, and then his brother/sister built another individual who became his niece because it was like a brother or sisters child.
Okay, this one is going to be weird, but the line "I like chihuahuas and Chinese noodles" actually comes from the B-52's "Song for a Future Generation." This mean it might have also been a musical cameo by them.
I’m so glad Plex is FINALLY getting the recognition he deserves ‼️
I noticed your pfp and I love it

I vividly remember there being an online Yo Gabba Gabba platformer game that I played the hell out of. The plot was DJ Lance's star broke into six pieces and five of them fell into Gabba Land so Plex goes to look for them (each member of the gang has a piece and you have to ask nicely for them to give it to you) and the big twist ended up being (IIRC) Plex had the last piece and just. Didn’t give it back until DJ Lance asked nicely.
WHAT THE FUCK! YOU ARE UNLOCKING MEMORIES!!! I played the hell outta that and forgot about it.
There is something so funny about characters that are clearly from child media, interacting with the real world, but they don’t let their innocence become corrupted. Like that moment in TJVP is funny because the gang got captured but they don’t care, and still maintain that childlike whimsy.
Like if a dead body showed up in Gabbaland, they’d probably sing a song about discovery, completely unaware of the implications, before Plex just zaps it away.
Plex is probably the most OP character, if he can zap anything out of existance
Now that I think about your comment, if there was a 'villain figure' in this franchise, it has got to be Plex. He can just tell his friends about something, and they become easily influenced before he just takes it away. By doing so, he is preventing his friends from critically thinking about what they have learned, making him a manipulative influencer who has (almost) complete control over his subjects. Well, it depends... He can use it for good, like keeping his friends innocent, or he can take advantage of his abilities and use it for his own benefit.
they'd just sing a song about discovery 😂😭 maybe the person would return to their universe as a ghost and gooble would finally have a friend lol
This series is making me realize how many 2000s kids shows had a 60s aesthetic.
14:03 idk why but “Plex can drive!😃” made me lose it
Makes me wonder if Plex is a teenager, like 15-16 maybe
Bro is forklift certified
I was watching this as an overweight man doing his morning stretches on the yoga mat when we hit "Goodnight Athena. Goodnight Athena."
People will often respond to something funny with "I'm dying," but making me bust my ample gut like that while I was in a bridge pose could have actually killed me. 🤣💀
Thank you for giving me inner peace knowing that there are others who see Plex as the best boy. When I was little, I always envisioned him and Norm from Phineas and Ferb being absolute buds. And may I also say that I wanted to be DJ Lance SO BADLY. He's still my embodiment of cool.

I literally had Plex as an imaginary friend for almost my whole childhood (weird ik), and I would run, hide, and cry every time the episodes where he would “die” came on

The reason that Plex doesn't have his own section on the stage is because each section is one of the four seasons
What about the rock one?
@@Lily_of_the_valleterrain that is suitable for each of them. That’s my guess anyway cuz all of them match their area while a simple charging port would match a robot cuz they just need to charge and that’s it. I love Plex but the scene just fit him cuz he doesn’t need much.
@@itznightmarewolfy388 thanks for the explanation!
I did think it meant the four seasons but it didn't make sense for Muno because like... What the heck is the rock season? Is it summer because it's hot and dry? But then that would put everything out of order!

I loved when Elijah and Weird Al were on. this show was a hell of a trip.
I was in that same age range when it came out. My little brother loved it and I found myself mesmerized by it even though I was older than the target demographic. It’s just so odd and whimsical and everyone involved seemed so fully committed that I couldn’t help but enjoy it.
25:11 If I recall correctly, it was playing at the bad guy's house after she kidnapped Wanda's kids, which is probably why they were less inclined to use one of their own properties
15:50 all I could think about in this part was the movie “Robots” from 2005 where when the kids aged up they got new parts/upgrades for whatever they were doing, they could also switch out parts if they switched jobs. Leo from Commander Clark: Toodee thats nice to say to Gooble 26:32
The only episode I ever saw was the Jack Black episode bc I remember being distracted midsentence and going, "Is that... Jack Black???" while speaking to my brother, and being so mesmerized by the show's (and Jack Black's) charm. My brother, a lawyer starting his 40s, began to regale to me Yo Gabba Gabba lore like it was his fucking hobby, and strangely, perhaps by the hypnotic charm of the show I actually found it fascinating.
Also curse you for throwing me down the rabbit hole of Plex x DJ Lance shipping, and now there's fanfiction and art I can't ever unsee again.
